To preface, I love animé. This is a fun blend of that love and ramen. Okay, don’t come here thinking this is going to be something wildly fancy. It’s got a great ambiance(the front is styled to that of a traditional Japanese ramen shop) and the food was delicious. A bowl of their ramen will warm you right up!

I can honestly say I came to this place because of the name. The place was pretty nice, enough seats. They also played an old episode of Naruto on the TV screen lol. The ramen here was a little salty and kind of made my tongue feel uncomfortable afterwards. But that goes for almost all the ramen in NYC, it always makes my tongue feel uncomfortable. The ramen in Japan has less MSG and noodles are more softer.

My absolute favorite ramen place in the tri state! I don’t know if anyone knows about the SURA-TANMEN ramen bowl!!! It’s just amazing! So goooood! I have tried the others… Just not enough flavor for me. The pork is so tender, the bamboo shoots always smooth add some pepper flakes, sesame, and some roasted garlic toppings so good! The best! The fried dumplings are the best! Edemame so delicious! Fried chicken amazing! Tuna salad yummy! Everything is so good! And I love that you can see them preparing everything!

First time last night and it was delicious! My friends and I shared the dumplings, which was okay. I really enjoyed my curry ramen, and I tried a little bit of the naruto which was also good. Get extra noodles for only $ 1.50 and it makes a difference! Overall, you get a tasty meal for the amount you pay for; make sure you go in there starving, because the portions are huge!

Huge proportion of ramen and great vegetarian options! Make sure to wear comfort fly clothes aka stretchy pants to make sure you can fill up on the huge portion! I LOVE the UNIQUE fries because i truly believe they are *gasp* double fried aka heavenly goodness. Furthermore, the atmosphere is lightly chaotic with loud chatter and slightly cramped seating but with good company all of that is eased. The service is fast and efficient! Great location, great food, and great vegetarian options. enjoy and cheers:)

Really good. Been there twice. Not particularly Japanese, pretty cramped and hot, but exceptional food. Recommend the Tan Tan ramen, spicy with ground pork. Wow.

The food was pretty good. I have had the Naruto ramen in the city so when I came here with some girlfriends, we decided to do the fried rice and some appetizers including the octopus balls(insert joke here), fried gyoza and fried chicken. The fried rice was very good and overall the food was decent, but there was one waitress that wasn’t so nice. We were sitting at the bar which holds about 10 – 12 people, a small bar at the window and a few tables in the back. The waitress seemed to constantly«accidentally» poke or run into a couple of us when the other waitress and patrons who passed did not. She also did not have such a nice demeanor towards us. Don’t think it’s a regular occurrence, but I’ll wait for another visit to update my rating.

This is a very small place that takes cash only! This restaurant feels like a hallway. As you walk in there is about 5 counter seats and about 6 tables in the back. There were 4 of us and we sat at a table. It was a bit uncomfortable cause the seats were so small and the table just barely fits 4 with shoulder to shoulder bumping. This is not the place to go eat in the summer. First it’s small, there’s limited ventilation in the restaurant. They have 1 small 5000BTU air conditioner mounted at the very top of the window… it gets super hot in there during the summer. The ramen was good and if I were to come back it would be during winter and I would sit at the counter and not at the tables. The bowls are cool with Naruto Ramen printed on the bowl.

2.5 stars. I don’t think I was ever in love with Naruto Ramen and my recent visit didn’t help. I had a craving for ramen, but didn’t feel like venturing into the city for it. I came for lunch and they were pretty packed, but there was an open table. We ordered the Naruto ramen, miso ramen, tan tan ramen and a takoyaki. I think out of all of them, the tan tan ramen had the best broth, maybe because it had some flavor and wasn’t just salty. The miso ramen was just salty, kinda oily and the roast pork wasn’t good, kinda tough to eat. The Naruto ramen was salty as well, but thankfully the broth was on the lighter side. They serve thick wavy ramen here, but they just don’t have the right texture. As for the takoyaki, it came out piping hot, but it was kinda mushy inside. The service is just eh as well. I don’t see myself coming back here anytime soon. I guess if you’re craving ramen, Naruto might satisfy a craving. If you’re craving good ramen, Naruto won’t get the job done. What are your options then while in Brooklyn?

Less than appealing ramen joint. Ordered a takowasa, and it pretty much reeked of the sea. The baby octopus was not fresh, which was quite evident by the strong fishy odor. Also ordered the pork gyoza which was OK. Our table ordered the naruto and miso ramen. The ramen was nothing too memorable.

Finally we made it to Naruto Ramen. Ramen is nothing special. Their soy sauce ramen was okay. My miso ramen was a major fail! It tasted so watered down. The meal was ehhh but the best part was their pork buns. It was OMGDELICIOUS(but we will not go back). Here’s why we won’t ever go back. Now what grossed me out was a worker using his bare hands to prep food & he then goes touching his cell phone! He keeps on putting the cell in his back pocket then taking it back out and then touch the food. So freaking gross!!!

This has become my go to neighborhood ramen spot. It might not be the best place ever but it’s reliable & convenient. The place is small so occasionally there will be a bit of a wait but service is usually quick so it’s been a non-issue. Interior décor is nothing to write home about. It kind of feels like a ramen diner Food: –spicy tuna tartar: one of my fav dishes ever. The fish quality is good, serving portion is generous & price is fantastic!(~$ 5). Mix in some chili oil & sesame seeds to really elevate the flavor –tan tan ramen: this is my fav ramen here. I don’t eat pork so I get it with just the veggies. The broth is rich in flavor but not very spicy so you can add heat as you like –miso ramen: the bf also gets this but still can’t decide if he prefers the miso or the tan tan. Says the flavor is great & pork is soft, well cooked –Sapporo is super cheap here & they have a great deal for a pitchers with wings –they have a dried/fried garlic that is on the table which I am OBSESSED with. If you’re a garlic fan be sure to add a generous portion to your tame The portions here are big, prices are low & it’s a great casual spot to satisfy your ramen/Sapporo craving

My coworker and I have come here several times for lunch. The lunch special is big and filling, although I have frequently found that my gyoza were undercooked — pink meat on the inside is not a good sign! The portions are generally large across the menu — the fried rice side dish was the size of a main dish at other places, and the curry was a big plate also. Everything is also very salty. My coworker usually asks for less salty ramen, but when I tried that, I found the broth to taste a bit watery, so I’m always torn between getting the very salty regular broth, or the watered down broth. The wait staff is really not the most attentive or careful. I also wish the air conditioning were more powerful — how can they expect people to eat such hot and heavy food on hot, humid days without a cool environment? Another major complaint is all the enormous flies buzzing around, which, besides being annoying and gross, does not inspire confidence in the overall cleanliness of the establishment. That being said, the wait staff was very understanding when once I had to run across the street to get cash, having forgotten that they are cash-only.

Naturo’s vegetarian Shoyu ramen was surprisingly yummy, but definitely not as good as it could have been. I ordered takeout, even though I know ramen doesn’t make the best takeout because I was just half a block away and figured it would survive the journey. The broth was far and away the hero of the night. SO flavorful, not too salty, very drinkable. If it weren’t for the broth this would be a very different review. The noodles were fine, nothing special. However, there were barely any noodles to speak of. Just a few bites was all that was included. Extremely dissapointing given the weird veggies that were in the ramen. Broccoli and cauliflower are just not meant to be in ramen. Snow peas? Fine. But cauliflower? No. Just no. I also had to ask for an egg, which isn’t included with the vegetarian ramen options. The waitress was nice enough, and they separate the broth from the other ingredients for takeout which is a plus. I might come back if I were in the area and really craving ramen takeout. Would much rather make the trek to Chuko if I’m going to sit down and eat though.

The thing about ramen is that it’s always been around in NYC, but you just had to know where to look. But with the influx of all these new«fancier» ramen shops, a lot of the older ones got lost in the fold. Naruto has been around as long as I’ve lived in the neighborhood(which is about 5 years now), but I always neglected it. Zuzu Ramen on 4th is closer, and 5th ave has so many other restaurants to try. But alas, I finally made my way to Naruto. It looks deceivingly small, but like a lot of ramen shops, it’s narrow with a back area. We were waiting for a seat at the counter, but a table opened up in the back instead, which was nice. Started out with the takoyaki, which were octopus dough balls. Very generous portions, but also very filling. I liked the flavors, but I’ve had better sauce at izakaya spots in the city. For ramen, I went with their special Buta Kimchee ramen, which as the name suggests was a bit sour and on the spicier side. I’ve never had kimchee in ramen before, and I think I can safely say I won’t have it again. It was interesting with the typical accouterments, but I’ll stick with the meatier broths. I will say that the portion sizes at Naruto are HUGE. Couldn’t finish and had to take a doggy bag. Service was a quick, and it was a lowkey no-frills meal. But I think once you’ve experienced some of the other ramen shops available in NYC, you start having way too high standards. Or at least I do.

Your average ramen noodle joint. Nothing is bad, but nothing is that great either. We wandered in here looking for something on the lighter side. Ordered bowls of ramen and shared the takoyaki balls, which were pretty decent. I ordered the curry ramen, but unless I’m going crazy, they must have messed up my order because it didn’t look or taste a thing like curry ramen. Zero curry flavor. I’m pretty sure they gave me a shoyo ramen or whatever the basic ramen is. I ate it anyway. One thing going for them is that the portions are pretty large. So much so that we couldn’t even finish our food and had to get it to go.

My first visit to Naruto ramen was a-ok. The service was good, fast and friendly. They were attentive and my food came up fast. I ordered the naruto ramen with no egg. The noodles were a bit gummy and the pork had a sweetness to it(almost like teriyaki sauce). The food was good but not the best ramen I’ve had in the city. A solid spot for a quick meal in Park Slope.

Friends from Atlanta were up for the weekend and we didn’t get a chance to go back into the city for pork buns or ramen. So we ended up looking up a place in Brooklyn that was open on Memorial Day. Naruto had both pork buns and ramen. We sat in the front and shared some pork buns and a miso ramen. The pork buns were pretty disappointing. The pork was overly marinated in a super sweet glaze and was too lean and dry. The mayo on it really made the bun feel fattening though. The miso ramen was a bigger portion than I expected. We split it among the four of us. The broth was very salty. The egg was cooked nicely though but the noodles were a bit soft.

Once in a while, I get a serious craving for some ramen and I am always 100% satisfied when I go to Naruto. I’m thankful that they have vegetarian options, as well! I love eating at the bar and watching the ramen chefs make my meal. It’s a delight. This is my go-to ramen spot in Park Slope!
