Monthly Air Train metro card does not work even after I just purchased a new card two days ago. I was given an envelope with a claim form to fill out, no problem, but I had this problem back in July and the MTA still has not refunded my money from the last metro card failure. If there was an alternative available for the air train at a reasonable price, I would be riding it.

I only give this monstrosity of a transit system one star because it does get me to work.(Really the only way to get to work in NYC) For people reading this from outside NYC, this is a lifetime New Yorker writing this! First, it’s old and dirty and often have delays. Delays, as if there’s a schedule? There isn’t a schedule! How dirty? Rats and roaches and in some stations, Rats bigger that cute puppies… Roaches the size of a cute babies foot! Lets not get into the workers. These people are generally miserable. Not all but most. Why? They’re union and they make top pay in comparison to any other U. S city. Unfortunately, regardless of how hard they work they stay stagnant. And, if they do jack, same deal. NOINCENTIVE! Some may argue that this sh#t system is 100 years old and it runs 24hrs and us New Yorkers should feel lucky — No way, if your relying on MTA mass transit to get you home at 3am, good luck! Trains will run super slow and the bum in the car will crap on himself to wish you goodnight. Feel lucky it’s just crap! For such a world class city, the MTA system shames us! Paris, Chicago, Japan are way ahead and destroy the MTA on every level. Oh, did I mention I actual pay $ 112 dollars a month to ride this cesspool– For NYC standards the MTA is unacceptable!!! Über it!
