This place is really a hit or miss some days. One day it’s great another day its like why do I keep coming back, it’s priced like a Chinese spot in the city would be. Not my first choice on the list, used to be better when it was a full restaurant.

I use to live in this area and eat here years ago when it was a full restaurant. The food was great. I moved back in the area a year ago and find the food to be awful. I ordered spare ribs and they were full of fat. The fried rice and dumplings were tasteless. I thought I give them another try yesterday afternoon and the ribs were once again full of fat or hardly any meat on them. Perhaps during the lunch menu, they feel they don’t have to give you decent food. I will never order from this place again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone.

Very disappointed with one of my favorite dishes… beef chow fun. Noodles overcooked to the point of being mushy. Hardly any beef. Very little flavor as well. Other dish ordered better but only okay.

Was in the area and craving a little chinese food and I saw this. They seem a little cleaner than a typical take out chinese place and service is a little better. Got most of the basics that you would see in a chinese take out place. Ordered the orange chicken and beef with broccoli lunch special. Food taste mediocre. Nothing fancy, just something to fill your stomach. Prices appear a little higher but at least the food came out quickly.

This is hands down the best take out chineese food you can get in bay ridge. And I am a chineese food junky, I have tried tons in the area. The prices are similar to the 100 other chineese places close by. But the food quality is much higher. Go for the sesame chicken! Try the Beef chow fun instead of lo mein. I love the flat noodles. SPICYTHIADUMPLINGS! Nuff said. Do it! My only complaint about mr. Tang is how fat my ass is getting from eating so much of their food.

Food is fairly decent. A bit expensive for the quality of the food. I would recommend the fried rice and the beef with broccoli. A lot of the items on the menu are hit or miss.

I’ve been ordering from this place for several years. I’ve found the food to be OK, nothing great but not sickening. On my last order they made a mistake. I called them and told them. The women who answered the phone started to yell, telling me no that’s what I ordered. I answered her politely advising her that I’ve been ordering there for a long time. She was not swayed and continued to behave like an asshole. Finally I told them to pick up the entire order and return my money. Not very good business people, especially in a neighborhood that has no short supply of average Chinese restaurants.

4 stars BUT Note: I’ve only eaten 1 thing there. so it’s actually 4 stars not for the res’t., but for BESTSESAMENOODLES I’ve found in Bklyn.(and I’ve been looking for over 10 years…) NOTE: I have NO idea about the rest of their stuff — could be anywhere from 1 — 5 stars. Dunno — haven’t tried anything else yet. *****Sesame Noodles*****

Great fall back. It’s not the best sit down eatery because it’s small and not so cute. besides you’d probably be in the way of pick-up/deliveries. But their dishes hardly ever disappoint. I say hardly ever because I tried a dish once that I just couldn’t finish. Not because it was bad, but because it was a little too spicy for my taste. Egg drop soup is a must for me every time. Oh Their pan seared chicken dumplings are so friggin’ good. you outta try them ;) They get it done Fast fast fast.

I’ve had Mr. Tang’s a couple of times. It’s really not too bad and I’m sure I’ll eat here again, but when I think of great Chinese food, Mr. Tang doesn’t really jump to mind. It’s just a run-of-the-mill Chinese takeout place.

By far the best chinese food in terms of quality, quantity and service. Their fried rice doesn’t taste cheap or make you feel as bad as compared to other places. Highly recommend this place if you’re ordering from the bay ridge area. The only negative is their fried dumplings; too doughy.

I’ve had chinese takeout from all over bay ridge. There are over a dozen in a 1 mile radius from me. I will always go back to & order from Mr. Tang. Their veggies are always fresh & properly cooked. The meat/poultry/seafood is cut & cleaned correctly(no fat/grizzel/veins). The sauces are non-greasy and tasty. They cater to your dietary needs if you ask. They cook simple food in an consistently perfect way IMO. I’m a huge fan.

Came here on my first visit to Bay Ridge. The food is definitely not the best… I should’ve opted for pizza across the street instead.

Disgusting. I ordered Sliced Chicken with Garlic Sauce and when it arrived, it smelled rancid. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the smell, but it smelled a little like garbage – quite literally. Open up your garbage can right now and take a big whiff – that’s what it smelled like. I didn’t eat it. I couldn’t. I couldn’t eat something that smelled like rotting chicken. I threw it away and wasted $ 10.

We just got back from China where the food was so fresh and tasty. I was craving some Chinese food so I thought we would give Mr. Tang’s a try since it is in our neighborhood. I have to say that the food was pretty mediocre in terms of taste. I am now on a quest to find the best Chinese food in my neighborhood.

This place used to be a real hot spot years ago with a restaurant and take out. But now its just a take out. I love to order Shrimp Mei Fun it is so yummy, guess most Mei fun is so good. They make a real decent one here and plus I usually walk a few blocks down and enjoy a nice meal along Shore Road with a great view of the city and Verrazano Bridge. So not a bad little spot for take out in Bay Ridge.

I have never been into the restaurant but the delivery is efficient(rain, shine, and even right before a hurricane). We ordered a bunch of food and some soda to ride out the storm and add to our stock including chicken with steamed broccoli and vegetable fried rice. The spring rolls are homemade and the food is not too greasy. This place has renewed my faith in Chinese Take out/Delivery. Cheers!

We ordered Chinese food from here for Christmas and it was good but not great. I ordered vegetable lo mein and I thought it tasted a little plain or maybe even a little burnt. My cousin liked her beef with broccoli and everything else seemed fine but I just wouldn’t go back probably. I recommend Dragon China not too far away.

This isn’t a bad place to grab some take out. The food is decent but I prefer the nearby by Dragon China.

They advertise the«Twin Lobster Tails» for $ 24, but I just opted for the Orange Beef. We went on a weekday night, and there were TV monitors on in the dining room. If that isn’t wierd enough, someone had put in Mariah Carey’s Greatest Video’s DVD. Yeck. The lady at the table behind us was really getting into it, and sang along. I’d go back again, and I’ll be sure to bring my own movie. **Update** The sit-down half of the resturant closed, and only the take out/delivery side is still open. I did chance a trip back there, and raised my ratting by a star after trying the won-ton soup. The wontons weren’t super thick and doughey, like most Chinese places you go to. Sure, I could trek all across NYC in search of wontons. but 2 blocks is good enough for now.
