Tried the muffuletta sandwich at the winter Smorgasburg. It was a mediocre sandwich for 10 dollars. The bread was too thick for my liking so the bread to filling ratio was way off for me.

I finally got a sandwich from here at Smorgasburg. I heard the seitan is good but went for the pulled bbq mushroom sandwich made with oyster mushrooms. I never had pulled pork before going vegan so I couldn’t tell you if it was similar but I quite enjoyed it. It was similar to bbq jackfruit. The sandwich was also pretty big and had cole slaw as well.

I got the Vegan bahn mi and it was excellent. I also sampled the faux gras and the pesto and both were good(and individually for sale).

Monk’s Meats is the best seitan, end of story. They did some of the catering for my wedding and I’m eternally grateful. You’re in good hands with these guys! They’re running the business well and getting well-deserved attention because of it. They’re respectful, attend to your needs, and the product is incredible. I go out of my way for their stuff at street fairs too.

Got the seitan skewer with chimichurri. Was good but not lifechanging.

Country biscuit was amazing and super filling. The biscuit was almost too dense. The meat was gilled to perfection with terrific flavors. Only wish the service was a little more excitable about offering up their yummy foods. I had it at the seeds market in chelsea.

Best seitan in NYC! Seriously, their seitan raises the bar for delicious, vegan meats!

I love these guys. No really. Their seitan is unbelievable: tender, meaty, savory — probaby the best seitan I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a LOT of seitan in my life. The skewers are a delicious high-protein snack. The sandwiches are always incredible and super filling(and made with great, local ingredients). I’ve spent so many weeknight evenings lying on my couch whimpering, «I wish Monk’s Meats had a brick-and-mortar store.» Just eat here. You won’t regret it.

Best seitan on the market! Staff and owners are super friendly. My girlfriend and I grab a sandwich or seitan skewers from their stand at Smorgasburg every Saturday.
