We had a reservation at 7 pm Saturday night with a group of 10. Arrived bit early and were get seated promptly. The place is around 15 min walk from the N/Q/R station. Great Food and experience. I love the dressing mixed with sesame paste. Background music is super upbeat. The waiter serving our table has a cute smile. Love the dessert after meal. Overall great experience especially with a fun group.

The best quality hot pot ever! Good service too which no where else helps with taking out the grease. 一分钱一分货.

This place is always my all time favorite hotpot place just because of the pork bone soup and their food. It is on the pricier side if you tend to have a huge appetite. The food is all very nicely organized and displayed appealingly. The shrimp paste, cuttlefish paste, and the homemade beef balls are must trys. They are nothing like the packaged products. The fried tofu skin is also very popular here. Best of all they give you free Melona ice cream bar for dessert. The staff here are also very tedious. They’d come to check up on you often and help you skim the oil in your pot. If you plan on coming here for dinner, it’s best to call to reserve.

5th year anniversary with the girlfriend(the wedding will come soon enough). Reservations were made(we arrived 30 mins early. and they let us through since a table was free). I pictured the place to be much grander and bigger, with two floors. But I guess that makes sense why it’s recommended you make reservations(would not recommend chancing it coming as a couple, thinking there would be a spot open, especially on a weekend). Mind you, this is a pay per order sort of thing, and not a buffet. Quality of items are a little better than what you usually sea in the cheaper all you can eat versions. It’s reflected in their service as well(they’ll help you cook something if you’re confused). A condiment platter is brought out immediately, with some spare bowls and your sauce. Would highly recommend putting some spare condiments in the bowls for later use, since they take the tray away to make room for everything else(keeps things clean for the eyes). Picking your soup base, no matter what it is, will set you back your initial $ 15. I’d assume making it half half would also mean stacking two prices on top of each other. –Mister beef: $ 12 for some nice marbling beef. Good for the price and presentation. Does not have to be cooked perfectly. Would recommend a little pink, to taste the tender beefiness. -«Jumbo» sweet shrimp sashimi: Five pieces for $ 20. I feel like the shrimp wasn’t live or fresh enough. Was expecting a more crisp texture. I asked for the heads to be deep fried — tad salty, but not bad. –Beef combo: $ 27. Most worth it for the money and meat. However, I think I’d switch it to 3 – 4 orders of fatty beef next time, since the combo included steak, tendons, and some other thing the gf wasn’t crazy about. –Shrimp paste: $ 8. Okay. Nice and different. –Live shrimp: $ 15 for unknown quantity. Medium sized(not huge) and lively when they first bring them out. Sort of spaced out near the end though) –Fresh jumbo scallops: $ 20 for 4. I don’t know if they’re jumbo, but I’d classify them as large. Tricky to cook at right temperature. Tastes nice and sweet. Other worthy moments: Professional service(although they were kind of quick to serve, which the gf was a little unhappy with since she wanted to take pictures of her food). Lemon water. CLEANLINESS(they’ll take care of it if something spilled on floor asap). Good presentation of all food. Since it was a special night, I aimed for the specials. Some stuff here and there was seasonal. With some veggies here and there, my bill came out to be $ 168(not including tip, which was in cash) for two people, so you can imagine why this place is really a more fine dining version of hotpot. I would NOT come here for the regular stuff that you can easily get at any buffet place – would simply not be worth it.

We had reservation at 6pm and we were seated right away when we got there. It’s a a very small venue for hot pot, I smelled like hot pot when we got out of the restaurant, not a lot of ventilation. You can’t go wrong with hot pot, the most important thing is the broth and that the food and ingredients are fresh. The broth has flavor which is very important because a lot of hot pot places their broths are tasteless. It’s a nice place if you like to spend more on hotpot because I don’t find their food that special apart from being overpriced. Also, there’s nothing that special about the ambiance too. For me, maybe I’ll come back if I’m around the neighborhood but then, they don’t accept walk in, you have to make reservations because according to them, it’s a long wait.

We got the signature soup base. The non spicy side broth is light yet extremely tasty. Yummy food, fresh ingredients, good service and good conversation over the table with friends. Great comfort food option if you have a little bit more budget. Reserve a table! The line can get crazy long.

I’ve eaten hotpot all over New York and this is my favorite simply because it’s the best. It isn’t AYCE, and many of the popular dishes are significantly overpriced. Furthermore, they have also decreased their portion sizes over the past few months. Despite this, it is worth it. The pork bone broth is very rich and flavorful, and the spicy broth is actually spicy. The meats are savory. The veggies are fresh. All in all this is the BEST hotpot I’ve had in New York.

Food is good and deserves a solid 4 star. My favorites here are the fried tofu roll, beef tongue, and fried fish skin. Wagyu is alright — not as amazing as others make it seem. However, my experience on Saturday does not deserve 4 stars. Experience was a solid 2. All was well in the beginning. I made a reservation for 4 at 6:45PM a week beforehand. Mister Hotpot called the day of to confirm my 6:4PM, and I thought«great!». Two of my friends arrived and got seated at exactly 6:38PM and I arrived literally 10 minutes after them. I was seated for less than 1 minute, and the waiter asked if we were done with the sauce provided on the table. HUH? I’m no magician — I can’t mix a good sauce in 40 seconds, so calm your balls bruh. And I definitely can’t mix two bowls of sauce in 40 seconds, obviously. Onto the next — the waitress who took our order. She was nice, but so awkward. First thing she advised us was that we had until 8:30PM until the next party arrives. She said we have a 2 hour limit. I said cool, but I made a 6:45PM. Looking all confused, she had to go back and forth to check. Seriously, you guys confirmed my reservation like 3 hours beforehand. Why the hell is there still a confusion!!! UGH. I was not impressed with the stupidity of the staff. Again, not rude, but who wants to dine and get stressed out because their servers are dumb? Not me. FYITOTHESTAFFONSATURDAY: Be thankful we still left a 27% tip. That service deserved 7%. JUSTSAYING.

My favorite hotpot restaurant! Love it so much, I can have it couple times a week and not get sick of it. Mister Hotpot is an upbeat/modern restaurant always decorated based on season or holiday. They are open late night and ALWAYSBUSY. I most definitely recommend making reservations. If you make one the day of, you’ll most likely confirm something around 8pm for 2, unless you call early in the day. My staples are the thinly sliced fatty beef, udon noodles, fried fish skin, fish roe and Fuzhou fish balls, tripe and of course watercress. Pork Bone soup. I used to get half pork bone and half spicy, but you can make your sauce spicy so why not just get all pork bone? Delicious! The servers give the best customer service. Always waiting at every turn. They pour your drinks, scoop the excess of the soup, clear your empty plates and even help you with your dishes(put in shrimp paste for you in your pot) Love this place! Not only for the amazing food and soup bases, but because they truly give the best service.

Came here for dinner on Monday and it was crowded, but luckily we had a reservation so we waited approximately 10 minutes for the previous customers to leave. The food was delicious and fresh but rather expensive. I love their Christmas decorations cause it shows how much effort they’re willing to put to attract customers. I love how they give you your receipt in a small metal basket with free gum inside. The workers were friendly and gave us extra ice cream for free. Overall I really like this place, but the price was expensive for really little.

Dear Mister Hotpot, I have been thinking about you since our last encounter. You were so busy with other people that I had to wait an hour just to get in the door. Granted, it was a Saturday night, but it was 10 pm. But I waited. I love you so that I waited an hour. I wanted to get a drink while I waited but this just didn’t happen. But finally I got my one-on-one time with you. I don’t know what it was, but it seemed so dreamy — my vision was blurred by the aromatic smoke rising all about you. Every little thing about you is so great, from your specials menu dotted with treasures(call ahead though) like housemade shrimp paste, king crab, geoduck, and prime meats, to your broths, like your famous pork bone soup, to your encyclopedic menu of other dishes. You are so delicious to me. Your meat is sliced so thin that the flavor has nowhere to hide. Your vegetables are fresh and presented so appetizingly and beautifully. You’re also not tough on the wallet — I’m ashamed to say I’ve cheated on you with other hotpot restaurants, and ended up spending more for the same quality. My favorite things about you: your housemade shrimp paste that your servers will helpfully portion out into your luscious broth, each taking its own individual shape with unique texture, your wide assortment of different meats, from Kobe to different cuts of lamb to offal, like your tripe(delicious). I won’t lie though: there are things about you I dislike — no hard liquor, the duck I tried once was hard and too fatty, no real sauce station(though to be fair, you do have a bowl of premade sauce that can be enhanced with condiments(garlic, sacha, scallions, cilantro) brought table-side to you. Evidence of my love is everywhere. I just hope you can see it. I travel over an hour from Queens to just see you. I brave the annoying lack of street parking or lots for you. I walk through the smelly streets of Sunset Park just to be with you. I even wait patiently while others have their turn with you. Will you please return my calls? Love, Lawrence H.

Mister hot pot is definitely a hip restaurant. Regardless of the holiday or season, the store will be decorated all around without a fail. Its has a really cute and fun interior . Mister hot pot is an a le carte hot pot joint which makes the menu a bit pricy but definitely worth. Unlike most hot pot places, they have unique menu items like the mister beef, homemade meatballs, cuttlefish paste and more. Should definitely order the beef combo and items on their special menu. And the vegetables are served in what looks like flower pots, adorable isn’t it? The wait staffs are pretty attentive and nice. Some of them may not speak English that well but overall most staff speak Mandarin Cantonese and English. They help you skim off the oils in your pot and are always filling your glass and pot. Overall, a great experience and a definite recommendation. Only issue was the hostest, who has a pretty horrible attitude for no apparent reason.

Stopped by this place on a Wednesday night and it was empty. My friend informed me that Mister Hotpot can get crowded. So we made reservation before coming here for dinner. We made a reservation for five and when we arrived our group was seated at a table for 6 or more. One of my friend informed us last minute that she was unable to join us for dinner. I decided to inform the hostess so they could sit us at a smaller table and save the bigger table for larger party. Yet she was rude since I asked to be switch to a table for 4 since one of our party dropped out. Yet the whole place was almost empty beside three tables. Next time, I’ll remember to check my manners at the door and just hog the bigger table.(Due to attitude of the hostess, Mister Hotpot loses a star) Winter is COMING, so the best thing is to eat some HOTPOT. Some of the highly recommend items from the menu that are a must try is the beef combo($ 27), handmade cuttlefish paste($ 8), tofu skin roll($ 8), and homemade Meatball($ 6). You do not have your own individual hot pot here. If this if your first time here you will love it. The décor as of right now is winter theme. The ceiling, windows, and wall are decorated and it reminds me of a winter wonderland. Mister Hotpot was getting really packed later on in the evening probably around 8pm. The service was wonderful! We had a waitress that was in training but she was polite and friendly. She was also very prompt in refilling our drinks. I am a fan of Mister Hotpot. I will be back and hopefully the hostess was just having a off day.

My friends and I were craving Hotpot. Decided to call around 3PM on a Friday when they opened to reserve a table. Sad to say, they only had availability at 5:30PM or 9:30PM. This place has LONG wait times. Usually 2 – 3 hours if you call day of and no reservation; but it is so worth it. The ambience here is exquisite and it definitely caters to the younger generation. Its pretty festive and decorated for the holidays and the lighting is pretty dim. As for the service here, the waiters/waitresses are pretty accommodating. They are consistently walking the floor and clearing the tables. If you need anything they are pretty much there, or know who to get to get it. Surprisingly, my favorite thing about Mister Hotpot is the sauce variety. The option to have roasted garlic in your sauce really hits the spot. and the very thick sa cha bbq sauce helps. With this and the combination of the fresh vegetables and meat/seafood and superb soup base really hits the spot.

The soup base is super flavorful! I literally took a spoon and scooped up a few spoonful to try the soup because it was so great. Two words: Gourmet hotpot. It is NOTAYCE! It is great I don’t have to stuff my face to eat my worth when I am craving for hotpot. Everything tasted fresh and every item had their own plate; it is not all placed together on one gigantic plate. The vegetables are place in a decorative bucket. When you get seated, a server brings over a tray of sauce and you can make your own. They don’t have a lot of choices, but it’s still good. Their décor is stunning. Since it is close to Halloween, it looked like I was entering some haunted house and that is pretty cool. I cannot wait to come back close to Christmas and see what decorations they’ll have up. This place is absolutely awesome.

Excellent, excellent soup base! We ordered the pork bone and seafood tom yum. What I like about the soup base is 1. it’s very flavorful, 2. they refill the soup with the same soup, not chicken broth or water. They have many variety of homemade, or special menu items to choose from rather than a bunch of frozen items that I can buy from Chinese grocery stores. However, the portion is a little too small. Recommends: Homemade beef ball, pork bone soup base, seafood tom yum soup base, fish and roe noodle. It is a little too pricey. Above average customer service. Definitely will come back again.

Delicious! I finally get to try this place after months of seeing pictures and snapchats! I came on a Friday night at 11pm and waited a few minutes. I did call ahead and reserved a table. For two we have the creamy pork bone soup base which comes with a veggie basket. We had fatty beef, pork belly, live shrimp, clams, shrimp paste, cod roe fish ball and watercress. Didn’t seem a lot at the time but we couldn’t finish. Live shrimp was the highlight for me. My boyfriend had fun trying to cook them without having them jump away. The seafood was really fresh and the soup base was one of the best I ever had. Bill was about 85 $ with two drinks. Definitely a little pricey for hotpot in Brooklyn but worth it if you order the right things. I would love to Come back with a bigger group.

They did it again! Great food, good service & hip ambience. My only regret was I ate too much! Tried all their specialty on the menu. Beef, abalone, crab, tofu, udon, sake… The bone marrow soup is to die for but a little salty yesterday. The spicy soup is not as spicy before. Smell like hot pot when I woke up the next morning.

I will make the trip from Queens to Brooklyn for one thing, pizza. However, I will now also go for this place. I’d like to point out that some of the items are pricy but you are paying for a premium product. Everything about this place is unique. Décor, it’s a small but a neat place. No pop music on repeat, lounge music bumps all day. They change the interior design every season apparently. It’s flowers and whatnot during the summer, I hear there’s dragons flying off the wall come CNY. Service, very attentive. I’ve found the staff to come over and check up even barely waving the mover. I’ve also never been to a place that skims the top of the soup off. It’s also nice that you don’t have to get up to get sauce, they bring it to you. They have some really unique things on the menu here, so I’ll list them below. Broth — Creamy Pork Bone Soup. I don’t know even know where to begin. It’s just got this beautiful flavor when you sip it. Definite change from the herbal/spicy pots. Tofu Skin Roll — WTF, that’s literally what I said when I tried this. Served in a frites-like way. Drop it in the soup, let it sit for about 10 – 15 seconds and absorb the broth. Don’t even dip it in the sauce, just don’t. Pop it in your mouth and just close your eyes. Savor the taste, chew the delicate silkiness. If you need to tear, go ahead. Swallow, smile and repeat. If you’re coming on a busy night, you may want to reserve this when you call. Yes, you can do that. Mister Beef — Tender beef slices covered in fresh egg yolk. Awesome. Cheese Shrimp Balls — Another WTF moment. Such a great idea, it’s already cooked but just drop it in to warm it up. It’s fried on the outside and the cheese on the inside, it just explodes when you bite into it. It reminds me of the cheese seasoning at the movie theater. Just saying. So bomb. Homemade Wontons — Served on a door plaque with a what. Egg noodles? Yeah, DIY wonton noodle soup. Have fun. Homemade Beef Balls — An unnecessary amount of plate for four balls but. the quality definitely stands out. Super lean and very fresh. Beef Combination — There’s a lot of different types of beef on the menu. Having a tough time deciding? Go Pokemon and catch them all. This is actually a very good value item. It’s all the different cuts of beef on a huge platter with a big flower in the middle covering the tripe. Yeah, you’ll come to see they love flowers in this place. Wagyu A4 — It’s expensive but it is Wagyu. They do a great job of dressing this up, comes with gold flakes on it. So Chinese, I love it. Watermelon Juice — It’s exactly what it says. Just done really nice. If you eat hotpot often enough, you’ll know that the garlic after is really strong. Coincidentally, you got a complimentary piece of Wrigley’s gum after. If you still got room, you get a complimentary melon ice cream bar. This is melon ice cream done really well. Now for all you Queens hotpot fiends who don’t want to make the trip out to BK, they’re opening this fall in Flushing. For me, Mister Hotpot has ascended to my top slot for«Chinese fondue».

If you never had hotpot before, Mister Hotpot will set your standard sky high, and if you had hotpot before, Mister Pot will be the only hotpot you’d be craving! I highly recommend getting the ying yang pot, which is halves of 2 different broths. It’s cheaper than getting a whole pot of some of the soups($ 15 vs $ 20) while getting more variety. The spicy herbal base is quite spicy, so order at your own risk. I’ll advise you to get the creamy pork bone broth to balance it out! I usually prefer a spicy base, but the pork bone broth definitely won me over here! All the add-ons are fresh and clean. The beef combo platter is a good deal with a great assortment of different cuts. Order your favorite protein and carb, and the soups will work their magic! The service is impeccable and staffs are helpful. Ask your waiter for advice if you aren’t familiar with hotpotting; they are pretty honest and wouldn’t try to up sell whatever is most expensive. Before you leave, be sure to ask the server for melon bars! They’ll surely complete your hotpot experience with a delightful sweet finish! FYI: Highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially on the weekends.

Indefinitely the best hot pot in nyc. I highly recommend reservations ahead of time to avoid long waits. The servers are always attentive and it might seem like they’re rushing you but that’s because they are. I’ve never seen this place not packed. For good reason I must say because the food is fantastic. All their ingredients are fresh and they have a huge variety to chose from. I did a combo broth with Tom yum gong and their signature pork broth. My favorite was definitely the pork. There’s way too much food for our own good, we were all stuffed when we left. The soup itself comes with free veggies. All the meats and veggies are fairly priced, only the seafood is a little bit expensive but that’s cause it’s seafood. For 3 people our bill was a little over 100. Nearly all their dishes are under 10 bucks except the fresh sea scallop and jumbo shrimp. This place is definitely a bang for your buck and great when you come with groups, eating is fun especially when they’re playing EDM in the background.

I didn’t like that they have this ash pole for smokers out in front of the restaurant. It’s an immediate turnoff despite their pretty seasonal decorations. People be standing there to smoke which isn’t comfortable for people that are waiting for seats(reservation was made prior to this but the wait is understandable due to consumers’ eating time) but I rather not wait while breathing the smoke smog. Secondly, there was water dripping and I was told it was because of ”condensation”? It’s not my first time eating here but it is definitely my first time experiencing this ”condensation”. I think they have the budget to fix this water cycle. I didn’t mind it but I rather much preferred that the water didn’t drip. The soup bases are well flavored, not cheaply simple and bland and not overly spiced– just right. For non spicy soup bases I recommend the pig bone(can’t go wrong with pig bone). Do avoid the herbal soup base. My friend once had an unfriendly experience of eating the herbs by accident and it was a bitter sensation for her); For individual sauce mix, they have the condiments/ingredients separated on a single plate. Each person have an empty plate for them to mix whatever to their own desire. As for the food, the quality matches up with their prices. It’s not all you can eat but the price is still pretty decent enough for fill and satisfaction for the taste buds. It’s a Win-win. Btw, beef slices are a must since they cook very fast! . +++Always make reservations before you go!
