My kind of barber shop! My haircut looked great and it was a fairly quick cut too! I can’t stand those hour long haircuts that look the same as 10 minute cuts(Well they look the same to me at least). I mean I’m visiting for a haircut not small talk! And I can’t hear you over the buzzers anyways! But no worries… because this place doesn’t do that.

As an earlier reviewer wrote, this is a top-notch barber shop. I’ve only been here once before, but the great hair cut they gave me will make me return in the future without question. There are actually two other barber shops within a three block radius of Manny’s, but I think his establishment should be singled out for praise. I didn’t need to go into a lengthy of explanation of how I wanted my hair trimmed; I simply explained what I wanted, and they did it. A+.

Erick is the man and the line is always shorter for him. They both are exceptionally talented barbers(even if you don’t want to standard tapeup/shapeup).

Good old fashioned men’s barber shop with a hip atmosphere. Large sitting area that can fit about 15 people, dance music is always pumping from early morning when they open until they close. Nice big picture frame of the 2006 Italian World Cup team and a big poster of the«mobster movie mashup painting» you can buy on the streets of Manhattan. Manny and Erick are the two barbers who cut the hair, there is a 3rd chair but is never used. Both guys are top notch at their job! Manny is the owner and much more popular so you may have to wait a little longer for him. Erick does a fine job too so if you are in a rush or it’s crowded go with either. They are closed Sunday and Monday and like most Brooklyn barbers and do not take credit cards, cash only. A typical«fade» or «tapeup/shapeup» costs $ 15 for men, which is average for that cut. Prices are not posted, so ask before you get the cut if you are worried about money. A couple of tips: Both guys are very nice and will chat with you while you get your hair cut, but Manny can be too chatty at times and will take a long time to finish your cut if you are into a good convo with him! If you are in a rush go with Erick, he does a good job and will talk but won’t stop. Some tough guys will try to skip you if it’s crowded, they go on an honors system with the line so sit as close to them as possible and don’t let people try to skip!

Ive walked in to many kinds of barber shops, and felt all kinds of ways about prices. But lately Ive come to the conclusion that these guys are top notch, quality is second to none, and the price is really a deal for a great haircut every time.
