The gentleman who works here in the charming oversized sweater was a dream. So welcoming and on top of everything. Definitely coming back here!

Went here again, dreading it a little bit, but came for a women’s only performance in the back room. The space was magical, and I had no issues with super rude bartenders, as before. So, Manhattan Inn is OK, but some of the people that work here really aren’t. Eh.

A unique bar/music venue that I must have passed a million times. The bar makes the best Dark & Stormy that I’ve ever had. Ever. They have ruined me for all others. Just look at it! I wish I could have captured the magic that happens when you mix it. It’s like watching galaxies collide. I smell maple syrup… Is there maple syrup in this?!? Delicious. What I liked the best was the theater in the round performance space. It’s like a tiny Globe. The people siting in the risers are the Groundlings. The only drawback is that people tend to cluster around the narrow entrance when there’s so much room all around. But that can be easily fixed if the staff actively seats people rather than leave them to their own devices. I came to see paris_monster( ). They are a two man drum & synth band that I now follow pretty much everywhere. The space was able to handle their sound nicely. Everyone was groovin’. The second act was CHARGAUX( ) The room was able to smoothly switch from drum and synth to violin/viola/electric bass without swallowing it up. The table service was quick and attentive while not being obtrusive during the show. That’s a feat. I really enjoyed finding something so special hiding right in plain sight. I look forward to coming back for sure. For that Dark & Stormy if for nothing else.

I had a good experience. I was by myself. It was about two so off time. I order a salad & chicken noodle soup & it came out in like five minutes. The soup was really good and comforting.

The mustached bartender on Saturday night is the slowest bartender. Literally sobering experience waiting for a simple order.

Ordered two standard cocktails, took 30 minutes to get them and when I did get them they were not what I ordered. Probably won’t be coming back.

Ambiance and music excellent but this doesn’t make up for how shitty the staff is at this place. They act like they are better than you and treat people with disrespect. I came with a friend visiting and we had a situation with them that basically ruined our night because it was handled in an unprofessional way. Truly a pity.

The ambiance of this place is great. I haven’t ever eaten here, so I can only speak for the cocktails and the space itself. The lighting is very dim, there’s exposed brick, rustic wood, candles. The space is very large and open compared to most other NYC bars. The cocktails are good and reasonably priced and the staff is always friendly. This is a great spot to come to on a date, or even just with friends.

The ambiance here makes it worth coming. Exposed brick, wooden floors(not the dark kind every bar is doing but lighter wood), mirrors, chandeliers, and sconces decorate the bar. It feels like you’re in an old Victorian bar. There’s a grand piano in the back which could have been a nice touch. At first the guy playing it was playing light classical music. Then it got REALLY loud with other instruments joining in. It got to the point where we were screaming at each other. We had to move to the front where sadly it was still loud as hell. When I ordered a red wine it was served ICECOLD. When I pointed this out to the bartender he insisted it was the right temperature and that was the temperature of the cellar. Um, no dude red wine shouldn’t be cold unless it’s Lambrusco. This bar has a lot of potential to be good, but those little touches just make it off.

Stumbled upon this café/bar while waiting for brunch at Five Leaves and was pleasantly surprised! The back has old movie-theater chairs and there was a grand piano with a pianist for brunch. There’s also a large open ceiling that let in a lot of natural sunlight. Can’t comment on the food but the coffee and drinks were great and we really enjoyed the live music!

My boyfriend and I came here for brunch. He ordered the sausage eggs and I ordered the baked eggs. We sat in the back room while the pianist played on the white baby grand. The food was great and the price was right; the waiter was cute, and the ambiance was delightful. We will be back soon!

Romantic ambience, superb food, exceptional service. The best time to come here is in the evening, especially when someone is playing the piano. I always get lost in the amazingness of the food and ambiance. Always a treat to visit this place. A gem in Brooklyn!

Jacob and Andy were amazing. The BEST bartenders I’ve had in New York! Andy is a fellow Texan and appreciates southern hospitality.

The bartender told me if he had a knife, he would use it on me and then ripped up a $ 10 tip we gave him because«it’s not about the money». Never been treated like that in my life. Absolutely disgusting.

Came here today for Mother’s Day. Got the first reservation so we got to pick any seat in the place! Got a really nice spot looking directly at the piano. The piano man, Dylan meek, didn’t come to play until 35 minutes after we arrived but we stayed a good amount of time to hear him play. He play very week. Very enjoyable experience. Our server was Eric. He was super sweet and very helpful. He gave adequate descriptions of food. We ordered the brioche French toast, egg sandwich, and the yogurt. The yogurt came in a very pretty glass and out food was well played. The brioche French toast was amazing! Crisp exterior with a nice and fluffy center. The cream cheese gave it a nice flavor. The egg sandwich had maple syrup which was a nice sweet to a savory dish. And the yogurt good but my mother said it could be a little firmer. Overall a good experience. I would definitely come back here!

Def check the back room with piano– homegirl was slayin’ it this past Sunday, I’m tellin’ you. No grits this weekend, which bummed me out. Can’t dock ‘em a star for that, necessarily(as these things happen), but I really wish they’d lead with what’s not available the same way they’d lead with a special, you know? Like, tell me what NOT to get my hopes up about. Went with skirt steak and eggs instead, a solid move. Cooked perfectly to order, and the potatoes had some zest, yo. She-beau had the vegas breakfast burrito, but not in a burrito, followed by a side of bacon, which nobody hassled her about– apparently she gets that sometimes, like a server’s got to figure out your dietary habits/choices/prefs before just assuming you’re always right and makin’ sure you’re happy. Service was a bit slow and the drinks were weak. Amazing food and, again, we emptied the cash from our wallets for the performer– so rad.
