You see, the earrings Ive bought from you have been so coveted by friends from far away that during their initial trip to Brooklyn they insisted on stopping at your boutique on their way in from the airport (!).
Happy to abide and show off my awesome neighborhood, I found a spot and parked. It was about 2pm on a wednesday.
CLOSED.
So bummed. They pressed their noses against the window and sighed, «Maybe next time.»

Maleeka takes such pleasure in seeing women light up when they find a special something. She doesn’t care what it is… a dress, a blouse, a pair of earrings. She is just genuinely excited to see someone find something that is just right for them. Her smile and optimism are infectious. It means you end up trying things on that you might have never considered, and often falling into a happy surprise.
She doesn’t care so much about carrying specific labels, or cutting edge items, or the «it» item to have, but rather she has a knack for finding interesting pieces that actually look good on women and inspire a special strut of true confidence. That’s why Maleeka is often my weekend pick me up after a long week. Even if I don’t find something to buy, the experience leaves me feeling good about myself.
I have some great pieces that I always get complimented on thanks to Maleeka. Items like a pair of geometric neon earrings, shirt dresses, sequined blouses, have made me the talk of more than one office conversation! They’ve all become staples of my wardrobe.

Soooo, I’m a procrastinator. I’m in a wedding this weekend (yes, in 2 days) I had JUST picked up my dress at Object Tailor down the street and I had no fabulous jewelry to accompany. I literally whipped out my phone, searched «accessories» nearby, and Maleeka came up. I read one snippet of Lilly C’s review and wandered down the street with a good gut feeling that the earrings of my dreams were waiting inside for me.
And…of course, they were. A beautiful pair of dangly, perfectly colored gold plated earrings to go with my gray taffeta bow dress. YES! $ 29. DOUBLE YES!
Maleeka also has a few racks of clothing, but all sized «S, M, L.» Typically that type of thing doesn’t work for me in the dress department, but some cute frocks fluttered about. However, the main draw here are the rows and rows and cases and cases of accessories, the super helpful and sweet staff and the pink box and yellow bow you walk out with.

YAY. another place where I can find gorgeous earrings. I absolutely adore everything in Maleeka’s boutique.
But my earrings weren’t that unique as she claims them to be. My friend went into her store like a week later after I had made my purchase, and claims that she saw the same earrings on display. But, I’ve received a ton of compliment on them, SO I guess it’s no biggie.
Even though her pieces are really special and she’s a very charming lady, I think her stuff is a bit overpriced.

maleeka is a great, exotic desi-​inspired boutique on atlantic ave. she has unique pieces that once off the rack, usually aren’t seen again in store (so if you really like something, get it!)
prices are on the higher end, but i think worth it for a dress or outfit that’s truly unique. she has tons of unique pieces of jewelry (how many times can i say unique in one review?) and great bags, belts, etc.
maleeka herself is awesome. she really has an eye for what works well on you, and can suggest things that i would never think to try on. i highly recommend checking this place out.

One of my staple go-​to places for really amazing jewelry/​accessories. Maleeka, the owner, is AWESOME! She loves the stuff that she sells, knows her inventory really well, makes suggestions w/​out being pushy, and is just such a lovely person. Prices aren’t cheap, but you’ll want to pay for some really unique pieces that you can’t find elsewhere.

Maleeka, after whom the store is named, is a 5-​foot-​nothing pistol-​ette with great style, lots of opinions, and a treasure trove of unique pieces (clothing, jewelry, and home delights) from Pakistan (where she is from) and other places. You’ll have your pick of gorgeous silk pillow and linens, groovy hats and handbags, and cool clothes you WON’T see on everyone else (from smaller, less «mass» fashion labels).
The selection is fab, but Maleeka’s personal service («do you want a cup of tea?»), generous style advice (which is always right) and keen ability to find you the BEST outfit for any occasion (top-​to-​bottom) make this boutique the only place I go when I need something truly special and unforgettable.
Oh, and did I mention the prices are GREAT?
Go often. Because she gets in new things almost every day.
