Excellent grassroots, community-​based organization working on all sorts of social justice issues, including: immigrant rights, housing justice, gay rights, and environmental justice. I’ve gone to a few of their meetings here and there, gone to some marches and rallies. The two most meaningful events I’ve joined them for were an immigration march in DC and a rally here protesting the hate crime killing of local immigrants. The organizers are tremendously dedicated to what they do and the members and volunteers are friendly, wonderful people.
