Maher Almoudarres, MD

Dr. Almoudarres is a great doctor, and a nice guy. If you need to see a GI doctor, he’s my first recommendation.

So I decided to go see a GI doctor for many reasons and came across this location. Anyway making the appointment was easy, I did it online and was able to provide my insurance information to «save time at the office». I arrived on time, filled out some paper work, and waited about 30 minutes until being called to the back. The receptionist wanted to inform me that my insurance company’s contact number is closed at 4pm and now that its 5pm she cannot verify my insurance so unless I pay cash she would have to reschedule me. HUH? after i waited ½ hour and supposedly saved time by doing it online? She waited until I arrived to verify the information & now wants to turn me away? I felt this was very poor customer service as I was a patient and i DO have insurance. They didn’t bother to ask me if there was anything really wrong with me (which woulda been nice being im at the doctors), all they cared about was the possibility that my insurance wouldnt go through — and it was HER mistake not to check earlier. Anyway I left and I wont be back. The office was clean, but I deserved to be asked what was wrong with me, if i needed anything, and the offer to see me & bill me if in fact the insurance doesnt work. See Ya Lata.
