Same as literally every other New Yorkers review. Food is simple and refreshing, great idea atmospherically and ethically. One of the worst joints in the chain. The service is a joke. Seriously. Live around the corner and been coming here hoping it will get better over the years. Better luck doing takeout and sitting in the park for what your time is worth. It’s never busy and it recently took me 20 minutes without getting served to just go up to the counter, order what I wanted and go sit back down. Explained the poor service to the manager and not even an apology. What a mess.

Why oh why do I have to like the food here… I keep coming back for more when I know I’ll get frustrated with the service. If you want to have pleasant service at this location you must eat inside. If you enjoy eating outside, like me, expect the following: a dirty table, being told you need to bus the previous customers garbage, then wait at the register to order while the staff ignores you while they tend to the most important giant lemonaid Tupperware that takes 2 – 3 staff members attention… but I’ll keep coming back because I’m a sucker for tartines and scones.

Glad they opened Maison Kayser… Would not come back here in a million years. Dry pastries and bad bread with a combination of lazy and clueless service.

We decided as a group to visit this place yesterday evening for a light dinner. Upon entry, it reminded me of an upscale Panera Bread. Since it was Mother’s Day, most of the pastries were not available as they were all taken in the morning. Le Pain Quotidien honestly is more of a lunch place to me. I wasn’t impressed with the limited choices. However you can order the breakfast and lunch at any time of the day which I liked. If you are vegan or vegetarian you would definitely enjoy this place. As I gazed at the menu and the restaurant I felt that whatever I ordered I would be underwhelmed. Anyway, I decided to order a ham and cheese Tartine. It had a fancy name but I forgot the name of it and I couldn’t find it online. It was basically a warm ham and cheese sandwich. Surprisingly I was really pleased with the sandwich, it was bigger than I expected. It has cheese on the top, and it was really tasty. It came with a side salad. Overall, I did feel good after I ate this meal. It was really fresh. I would visit this place again for lunch or pastries!

Cute relaxed café. My friend and I stopped by because we had some free time to chat and hang out before our next plans. We ordered a decaf latte, organic blueberry muffin, and a slice of cheesecake to share. Everything tasted fine, nothing groundbreaking but I would eat it again. The waiter was sweet and had no problem with us making a small order. The interior is charming and cozy. Fits well with the neighborhood. I would go back!

The guy that took our order was nice. En of story. HORRIBLESERVICE. SLOOOOW. Waiters walking around doing nothing with ass faces. Food sitting on the countertop getting cold. Our food came in 4 turns and cold. We wait for an hour! And I asked for a scone which doesn’t have to be cooked! One omelette, one quiche, one egg with lox and a scone $ 68!!! I went because my mother in law wanted to, I didn’t want because I already had another bad experience.

Horrible, horrible and extremely horrible service. It took the waiter 10mins before she came to us to take our order. After she took our order we had to wait a additional 25mins for our order to come. Our original waiter never came back but another waiter did bring our order. No one came to ask if we needed anything. After we were done with our food and wanted to get our check we had to wait a additional 15 mins. After 15 mins I had to go up to the front desk and ask to see a manager. After explaining to the manager what is happening all she could say is «you are right» and«I am so sorry». I would never go back As We am walking out I see other people were also complaining about the service. Such Horrible service I would never go back

Great service. Excellent coffee. Our tomato avocado omelette was cooked well and came with delicious sourdough bread

Came here. Asked for omelette. They told me they had no eggs left… She stood over me awkwardly while I picked something else… Then I see omelettes on other plates being brought out??? 45 minutes later and I have no food, no bread, no refills. Empty tables all around me. Very confused, hungry, and dissapointed.

Can’t really go wrong here with the omelette. The salmon and scallion is my favorite! They usually have delicious pastries like the French crème donut available(that’s always worth it). Always worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood and need a quick breakfast.

Service was good. We went on NYE for lunch and they only had one server who did a great job. The apple cider was great, but the Quinoa Cake was bland and lacking salt. I’ve had the Quinoa cake at one of the D.C. locations twice before and they were great. I also felt the smoked salmon tartine my boyfriend ordered was missing something.

Beware. This is the worst service I’ve had in Brooklyn Heights and the worst Le Pain Quotidien I’ve been to. The coffee was burnt and horrible. The takeaway staff are ok, but the table staff are bad. Avoid if you can.

Guys. The service here. What is the problem? Why does everyone seem like it’s their first day on the job? On any job? Seriously, I’m dying to know. Is the pay that bad? Is the set up and breakdown that unreasonable? I’m sure the clientele can be difficult, but come on. It takes 20 minutes to get a cup of soup to go. Sullen waiters mill around aimlessly without making eye contact. Employees are helpless when asked even the most basic questions about the menu. Since moving into the neighborhood, the staff here has been consistently slow, inexperienced, and incompetent. I just can’t figure out why you can’t hire people who at least pretend they know what they’re doing or give half a crap about their jobs.

Coffe flavored hot water. Nice atmosphere. I finished the coffee though. I don’t know what else to say.

This chain is consistent throughout all the stores I’ve been to. It’s not a cheap place but it’s high quality, no matter what you get on the menu. At this particular store, I just stopped in for coffee and a chocolate mini muffin. Delicious. There is plenty of seating.

The food is decent. But the service here is just repeatedly the worst service I’ve even encountered. 1. There are at least 4 servers on the floors but they constantly avoid eye contact and refuse to provide service 2. Not once do they actively come over to check if you need anything 3. They always get my check wrong 4. Orders are often wrong too…

I live only a few blocks from this Le Pain and I have had to avoid it at all costs. The service is so terrible, pretty much their whole menu and how they serve you is bad. Overpriced lattes that are not strong nor good and pastries that have been sitting behind the counter for hours is never appealing. There are way too many other cafes in the area to waste your time sitting here for 2 hours waiting for your French garçon to bring you a croissant.

The service was a bit slow though they compensated by giving us free refills. The curry chicken tartine was tasty. Only complaint is the chairs for outside dining are just uncomfortable.

Food is reasonable. Not spectacular. Service is hit or miss. Good place to meet/wait for company.

I was in heaven! Organic milk, organic bread, organic everything. I loved how I could sit at a long table, which I share with a few single people, and a couple doing our own thing… My lunch: avocado toast was very delicious and I definitely enjoyed my cup of latte and later my cup of earl grey tea. Who could leave without buying goodies to take with? I picked up a jar of their jam and some Belgian chocolates which I devoured later on. The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. Overall a great experience!
