Terrible. Ordered delivery. Long wait for mediocre food. Wish I didn’t tip. Do not order from here.

It’s funny reading the other reviews because my experience with this restaurant is very relatable. I ordered food around 1:30am through Seamless. But first, I called to make sure that they could deliver. They said yes, that they were open until 4:30am. Perfect. I ordered and around 3:00am food was still not there. I called and they said it’d be about 6 minutes. Still, the food never came. Then I called back maybe around 3:30 and someone would pick up the phone and hang up on me. I called Seamless customer service and I guess they reached out to the restaurant. They said our food would be delivered and still… it never came. We finally went to bed, frustrated that we had stayed up so late to wait for food. Doorbell rang at about 4:45am for our morning tacos, which went right into the fridge. The next day, the food was okay. But overall, this place was a huge disappointment. If you don’t want to deliver late at night, that’s totally cool. Just tell your customers that. Duh.

I waited too long for two tacos here at like 11:30 at night. I was a little tipsy so I was excited to shove some tacos into my face. I figured they would be done quickly so I ordered 2 tacos to go while I waited for the bus; 1 chicken and 1 carnitas. 20 mins, no ubers, and 3 buses later I finally got my order. I hopped on the next bus, got home and ripped open the bag only to be incredibly disappointed with how overcooked and dry the meat was. The carnitas had absolutely no flavor and the guac wasn’t salted at all. The chicken had flavor but it was so dry. I waited too long for the meat to not be fresh. Like what took 20mins? Dicing up the cilantro?(That can be tedious I guess). Next time I’m in a drunken stupor I’ll try to have a better food judgment.

On the corner of Dekalb & Wyckoff, you will find La Fuca Taqueria & Restaurant a Small Mexican food establishment which is little on ambience, BUTBIG on great taste and affordability… Tortas, Poblanas, Tacos, Tostadas and Chalupas… Give it a Try… The Food was great and I’m itching to have some more. I recommend trying this place out if you’re in need of well priced Mexican cuisine in the Bushwick area.

This place really blew it with us. My husband and I were loyal customers, I mean like every night we would order from them. We were blown away that they open up so late and the food was great. The problem is not the food, but the customer service. The owner is the guy that makes the deliveries. Apparently he does care if his customers are waiting forever … He won’t deliver is he doesn’t feel like it and takes his time. Also when we calls in that he is outside he’s very nasty and rude One time we ordered at 12pm midnight and my husband went personally at 1:30 am because we still had not received it. He saw the delivery guy in the restaurant drinking with some friends. The delivery guy(owner) told my husband that he didn’t feel like doing deliveries in the rain. Like we get that you don’t want to do it but the least you can do is tell your customers and not have them waiting. Or better yet hire someone. From that day we never ordered from here again. That attitude of the owner was unbelievable and unacceptable. It was absolutely not professional, and don’t know why he has a restaurant.

Decided to head to a friend’s apartment in Bushwick arriving a bit after midnight and was of course on the hunt for some food. Luckily I saw that this place was open until 3:00AM and took advantage of such. I opted to order delivery on Eat24, here’s the 411: Chorizo torta: Wow. Ingredients were certainly not skimped on. I added oaxaca cheese for an extra $ 1.50, which in my opinion, is a bit much for cheese. Not even extra cheese. And usually guac is the extra charge(which the sandwich comes with by default). But I digress, not the end of the world. The sandwich was delicious, flavourful, and messy. Chips and salsa: Yikes. This is the reason for my lack of star. I can’t remember ever ordering mexican delivery and not getting containers of red and green runny salsa. Why in life did I get those and just chips? I assumed that they skimped out and counted that as the salsa. But paying $ 4 for really hard, unsalted tortilla chips and salsa that comes with the order by default is pretty lame. Maybe I should have asked about the salsa. Either way, there was a mistake. Overall, the food is great from my experience and I’m itching have some more. I recommend trying this place out if you’re in need of authentic, well priced mexican food in the Bushwick area.

The tacos are to DIE for! Such a great late night option! And the chipotle mayo is a must try. They gave me so much that I’m saving the rest for another meal! Top Mexican joint in Bushwick hands down.

It was on my way to Bushwick Open Studios when I saw this place. I thought I was close to where I was going but I didn’t really care, I needed tacos. I was gonna just sit in a chair outside and eat my tacos out of a bag like and animal. But he brought a table, and a real plate, and a glass for my beer like I’m a goddamned Rockefeller. Yummy tacos and good selection of Mexican beer plus really nice service. I would live here if the blue seal kiddie ride didn’t play the first four bars of «It’s a Small World» every few minutes. This is not an actual reason to remove a star from a taco joint however. Plus, inside there is a painting of dogs playing poke. Has TV yes, Has TV in English no. Do you really need that with your tacos?

This place is underrated, I would keep it a secret but the workers and chef are so sweet and friendly I’ll share this yummy spot. It’s so much more better than the tres hermanos place 2 blocks over because this place hasn’t been overrun by hipsters, fingers crossed it stays that way because the environment and food are a 5⁄5. Tasty and reasonable prices make this place a hit!

Food here is yummy and the guy who used to work the kitchen and be a waiter was so awesome! I don’t know if he’s still there because I haven’t gone in a while. I tried going back a couple of times but on both occasions there were men getting wasted in there and I wasn’t comfortable with that. Their carnitas tacos and carnitas torta makes my mouth water, definitely try that out!

I wanted to like this place more than I did. It seems to be a mom and pop operation with the kid(maybe 11) working the front. First off, there are signs in front that say they don’t have a bathroom. This is troubling because I kind of needed one. And I don’t know the laws very well, but I thought they had to have one? Either way… Mushroom nachos — The mushrooms had a lot of mushroom flavor. This shouldn’t be a revelation, but it kind of seemed like one, after having a lot of crappy mushroom dishes from Mexican restaurants. The guacamole was pretty good as well. However, the chips were stale, and the only cheese was Oaxacan, and there was a bunch of crema. I like melty cheese and maybe some beans. With not stale chips of course. Shrimp burrito — The tortilla that the burrito was served in was also kinda stale. And it’s very possible that the shrimp inside was pre-cooked, as it hardly had any shrimp flavor. The rice and beans were fine, but nothing special. The burrito was pretty big though, so there was that at least. Vegetable Cemita — It what’s an unfortunate theme, the bread was kind of stale. But on the good side, there were a lot of different vegetables in the cemita. Zucchini and tomato and avocado and other stuff too. Made the sandwich have some heft to it, which was nice. Their horchata was pretty good and the Jamaica too. Overall, improvement is needed, but it’s a decent start.

Hey– it is what it is. A good(enough) taqueria that delivers to an area that many places don’t. I’ve had good tacos and burritos from this spot– but oddly, their rice & beans which should be a highlight were fairly bland. Really friendly delivery guys and good prices. Definitely give it a try.

Just ordered: bistec and Carnegie enchilada tacos, horchata and Mexican coke. The tacos were mediocre, horchata was SO good and the coke of course yummy. The bistec was fatty and uneventful. The guacamole on my Carne was SALTY and the Carnegie was not spicy. I admit that ordering late night is a hit or miss do I will try them again during lunch time. Besides my love for the horchata compels me!

A chicken burrito from this place has just compelled me to sign up to Unilocal so that nobody else can make this grave grave mistake. After 1hr and 7mins a sloppy squashed ‘burrito’ showed up, I opened it to find mounds of grey soggy rice, a few slithers of greasy greyer chicken pieces, small cubes of canned carrots(WTF?) about 5 black beans and a smear off a brownish green slop, which I’m guessing is a piece of bad avocado someone dropped in there by mistake as it was only in one half… To say I’m gutted is an understatement, I actually feel sick from the one bite I took… However… The delivery guy was super nice and… Hey I’m not hungry anymore!

Horrible delivery experience. 90 minutes of waiting, the food was cold. It was a mess. I wish I could get my money back.

This is a little-known gem of a Mexican restaurant, greatly overshadowed by the nearby Los Tres Hermanos Tortilleria. I used to think that place was the best until i started going here. Everything they serve is authentic, delicious, and made with great care, and they use corn-based as opposed to flour-based tortillas. They also make a mean bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I usually order the chilaquiles verdes regulares(veggie, nice and spicy!) or a chicken burrito for takeout. I haven’t tried everything on the menu yet, but everything I have eaten has been delicious. Definitely worth checking out!
