OMG! Everything looked good! Wish I could have a translator to explain the different kielbasas, Anything you pick will surely taste good. Reminds me of some of the great delis in Riverhead, only these are bigger. Get a Kielbasa!

Welcome to Warsaw, Greenpoint! Was I the only person who was amazed at the high quality products, the hectic ordering with so many customers, and professional customer service? The kielbasa I purchased was delicious, as was the pork and pâté. The shop is busy and the items are fresh and reasonably priced. The rye bread was tasty too.

Disappointing. I bought a homemade kielbasa, only to discover that the meat was rancid. Had to throw it away, without tasting it. I thought that smoked meats are supposed to stay good for a while. In any event, they should have tossed it from the shelf.

Came here late in the day on a weekday and there were about a half dozen customers so not as busy as it sounds like it is on weekends. Service was not nearly as intimidating as I was expecting. perhaps a bit of a language barrier(didn’t quite get the things I meant to get likely due to my poor pronunciation), but servers were friendly and I left with a good variety of decently priced kielbasas(kabanosy, wiejska(I think, what I ordered but the label was blank), mysliwska, and weselna). Tasted good, but not as distinctively different in taste it seemed as the ones I’ve gotten from Steve’s Meat Market. Perfect for BBQ season!

I’ve been coming to this place for 20+ years and nothing has changed. The cold cuts and kielbasa taste the same now as they did back then; amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. Come here to get your Polish fix on.

What’s not to love? Wide selection of meats, cold cuts and cheeses at good prices. Always fresh and very tasty. I avoid the place on weekends as the lines can get very long. If I do have to shop there on weekends, I call ahead and order over the phone, which is very convenient. I highly recommend!

just brought home a 3′ long sausage and a pound of ham for $ 15! i dont speak polish so i was a little scared when i walked in cause everyone was speaking polish. i first ordered ham cause thats the only item i could pronounce, the guy brought me the ham and then i pointed to one of the sausages hanging behind the counter and got that too. i dont know what kind of sausage it is but it was delicious. ill be back as soon as i finish what i got to try other mystery meats!

This is the best meat market ever … their polish cold cuts are the best as well. Very authentic … great kielbasa … the employee’s are extremely friendly they will let you try whatever you want before you purchase it. Beware this place is usually pretty busy especially on the weekends and around the holidays!

Yum! This place is awesome. Even though I was the only non-Polish person in there, didn’t speak Polish or exactly know what to order, and there were 30 people in line behind me, the staff was super friendly, spoke English, and patiently helped me pick out some great sausage. I definitely recommend and will be back!

This place makes me wish I lived in Brooklyn. And I’ve only been once and had the kielbasa. But what a kielbasa it was. It was probably five pounds and cost me about $ 15. My wife and portioned it out and still have some left in the freezer a month later! Can’t wait to visit my friends in Brooklyn again so I can stock up!

The best cabbage rolls and kielbasa I’ve ever eaten. Every time I return to NY I demand Cabbage Rolls and Sausages! Yes… Sausages! In my mouth! There are plenty of meat markets along Manhattan Ave… but this is the BEST. I can eat these«little pigeons» all morning… all day… all night long. How good is it? I’m giving this joint 5 freaking stars.

If you really want to impress someone, you must present them with a substantial amount of meat. That’s a little truth nugget I picked up working as a professional here in NYC. Nothing commands more respect than six feet of wiejska wrapped in waxed paper. If you have an appetite for fine Polish meats and cheeses, this is the place to go. Only the finest, only the best.

I’m a long-time fan of Steve’s Meat Market, but on my last provisioning trip to Steve’s they gave me some weselna that just didn’t taste right — way too peppery and just off-tasting. Decided to try Kiszka, and glad I did! The sausages here are fantastic. Kiszka Meat Market may just be my new favorite in the city.

Best Butcher in Greenpoint. You wont find much beef or turkey, but if you’re looking for Pork, this is the spot. Kielbasas, bacons, salamis, incredible! also, they have the 3 pound block of farmer cheese. BONUS! the bread is always fresh and the hot stuffed cabbage by the register is worth the gamble. yes yes yes

It’s known as Kiszka. Read about this in Edible Brooklyn here: and checked it out alongside a half dozen other polish meat markets in the area. This is indeed the best. I wish my baba were still alive to come and see it. I thought the service was fine — they don’t go out of their way to cater to the hipsters taking over their(polish) neighborhood, but they certainly were nice enough for those who only speak english. Know what you want to order before you go — they’ve got a lot of people to serve. Kielbasa I’d recommend are: the Wiejska, Weselna, Kabanosy, and Krakowska. Remember the W is pronounced like a V unless its marked.

Known simply to locals(and Poles) as Kiszka, this amazing meat market has a line down the block on the coldest days of December and on the hottest days of August. But it is especially crazy around Easter and Christmas. The Poles love their bakeries and meats for the holidays. This is one of the many great markets in Greenpoint. It is extremely tight inside, so chances are if you show up here around any holiday, you will be standing outside. Upon entering you will be able to purchase such delicacies as the delicious smoked ham or the Canadian style bacon. But they also sell a great variety of imported Eastern European cheeses, as well as imported Polish butters, jams and chocolates. Come here… wait in line… it is worth the wait!
