I needed a quick lunch and this pizza place was right across the office I was working at that day. The staff behind the counter was super friendly. I made my selection from a variety of pizza choices behind the glass display and placed my order with the staff behind the counter. I was then quickly handed my pizza slice that was taken from behind the display. If I’m working in the area again, I’d come back. Good pizza, friendly staff, quick service, and decently priced.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Not sure how people choke this stuff down. Ordered a pizza with extra sauce. Received a pizza with large red splotches on top of the cheese. The splotches tasted like ketchup. The cheese was gross. It was obvious that they hadn’t cooked me a fresh pizza. Disgusting. In the shop, the customer service is horrendous. The guy behind the counter ignored me for five minutes while he finished texting. When i said«excuse me» he threw up his pointer finger without even looking up. When I asked for a cup of water with my slice, I was told to go get it from the bathroom. Or, pay $ 4 for a bottle of water(which they probably refill from the bathroom). Don’t expect any smiles. Everybody at that place, the customers included, glower at you when you come in as if you’ve just invaded their territory. Very weird place. Stay away(btw, there’s a new kosher pizza shop that just opened a block away called Benny’s Brick Oven. Way better).

Updating my review to add a tip: don’t have their lasagna. Stick to their pizza, salads and hummus which is really good. I had their lasanga the other day and I was REALLY disappointed. It was super greasy. I don’t know what the sauce was. It was supposed to be marinara sauce but it was just a greasy mess that made my stomach turn. The salad I had with it was awesome as their salads always are.

Old school pizza place with brick fireplace. The best value kosher pizza on Kingston Avenue. I love the thin crust. Best when it’s piping-hot, fresh out of the oven. The large negative is that the ambiance is really old and there are large garbage bags covering a large amount of the wall during the winter to keep the cold out. This place needs a re-design badly. That is why it only gets two stars.

Great falafel. The best falafel on Kingston Ave. As a vegetarian, I enjoy eating at kosher restaurants because I know that I won’t find any surprises in my food. The staff may be a bit brusque and the décor looks like it is from the 1980s, but the falafel is great, pizza is yummy and the French fries are fantastic. The prices are reasonable. Plus, they deliver.

Under the new ownership /management the pizza shop has undergone a complete makeover for the better. Is it fancy or super healthy? NO. But I don’t think people go to a pizza shop to eat«Health Food». The falafel is made on the spot(not frozen crap) and is probably one of the best kosher value meals you can buy in NYC. I haven’t eaten better falafel outside of Israel :). I actually think their regular slices taste better then at some of the more gourmet pizza joints. Overall nice service. Lots of choices and low priced. = a winner in my book.

This place looks very old and broken. Dirty air conditioners hanging from the walls. It seems like no one have ever did any renovations here for about 20 years. And sometimes it smells here weird. The food here is not any cheaper than any other pizza shop. I am surprised that they have sanitary inspection A grade. The food taste ok, but if u don’t want to lose your appetite you better take it to go.

This is the old-fashioned, classic kosher pizza joint in Crown Heights; the décor is dank, and there is nothing exquisite about this place, but it’s a classic neighborhood establishment with very good prices. $ 4.50 was a very reasonable price for lunch last week; the falafel was delicious, with the clerk freshly scooping and frying the falafel balls, and there were at least 5 – 6 nice-sized falafel balls in the sandwich, along with hummus and copious amounts of Israeli salad, sauerkraut, pickles, and other fixings. The cashier expertly arranged the sandwich, which I had to deconstruct with a fork and knife in order to eat. Tehina comes in a side cup, which allows for easy pouring, bite-by-bite. This is my to-go spot now for a falafel when I work in this neighborhood and need a quick bite for lunch.

Just regular run of the mill kosher pizza. They do accept credit cards and the service is good. Nothing too fancy, but at $ 2.50 a slice it aint bad.

Pros: –The pizza tastes pretty good. A lot better than the previous owners. –The fries aren’t bad. –Great location. Smack in the heart of the Jewish part of Kingston Ave. Cons: –The new layout is very confusing. We came in and began waiting in line by the cash, after a couple of minutes we hear an announcement coming from the other end of the counter«Pizza orders wait here!». Everyone quickly begins shuffling to the other side of the store. –There isn’t much room to move here — it’s a very narrow property. –Dirty restaurant. A major clean up and renovation wouldn’t hurt. –Service really does suck. It’s unfortunate. –I’ve had a lot better tasting Garlic knots elsewhere.
