Until all of us on Unilocal are wealthy enough to own and operate a store that only ever did a vague denim repair business in a very costly neighborhood to operate in and then can shut down for MONTHS and MONTHS at a time after deciding not to perform such repairs anymore while reconceiving just what it is their business is, then there is no reason to support such businesses or such business owners. WTF even is this place? If you’re this wealthy, you surely don’t need my business and can continue to prey upon people who move to «BKLYN» for the«authenticity» once you decide to re-open as a vintage popcorn store or whatever.

This is the kind of place that makes Brooklyn special. So evidently a labor of passion and love that you’d have to have a heart of stone and eyes of glass not to notice. An industrial revolution-inspired cabinet of clothes and curiosities, where the museum is for sale. It does, in a strange way, invite a sort of New Materialism, where the things make and buy are there to last and to be cherished, instead of cranked out and used up without a thought. And Cowboy Mark is Lord.

Something happened, got rid of a lot of their stuff, turned the back room into sort-of a café. Not a good change.

What a bizarre and fabulous store! It’s sort of Army Navy meets vintage clothing store meets general store meets antique store… i mean, they sell penny candy! I live across the street and always find their store front displays endessly amusing and creative! For the next month or so, the store is going to be renting its space to random businesses,(including Kumquat Cupcakery) craftsmen etc(including Kumquat Cupcakery). It will be an interesting pop up shop experience! FUNFACT… Kill Devil Hill peeps DJ at the Diamond every so often… it’s a pretty amazing evening. Satanic soul! Y’all should check it out!

I really love the clothes and other unique items here but mostly posting this review because of the awesome job they did on my denim repair. I had a unique pair of grey jeans that had been worn through. They did an amazing job repairing and was thrilled with the modest price. Awesome window displays too!

Kill Devil Hill is a neat little place run by a very friendly man. The store is small. There isn’t a ton of stuff. Some of it is very fairly priced whereas other things could use a bit of a mark down. I am, as Unilocal tells me by my rating, «a fan.»

cay-oot! a nifty little store on a great stretch of street in greenpoint, you will definitely find something odd and unique here. a good joint for gifts, especially if you or yours is into say, vintage coveralls, or smut records for stag parties. cozy and curious, with a friendly proprietor who does a bang-up job gift-wrapping goodies. pricey range rather wildly, some things can get a bit pricey, but these are mostly one-off items, so go to town.
