«Huge ass portions»
This is a lunch review.
Great spot if you are in STARVATION mood and you want to eat like an animal. I got a lunch special salmon with rice and beans. I really was surprised that the salmon was pretty fresh and adequate seasons. It was so large that I could not eat all of the food. Even the waitress asked if I liked it, which I thought was cute.
The place is a little loud, meaning that everyone speaks VERY loudly. But, the food more than makes up for it. Just note, that many selections (especially the salmon) may not be available all of the time but they have many other options. I would recommend the stewed chicken or the oxtail soup.

This rating is based solely on delivery. I ordered from this restaurant through Eat 24 and it has been 2 hours and my food is still not here yet. I’m highly upset not to mention hungry. I contacted Eat24 and the restaurant assured me that it would be here in the next 10 – 15 minutes… 30 – 45 minutes ago. I went on a whim and ordered from a new restaurant only to be given the run around on $ 25 worth of food. Unacceptable. I really hope the food is good or I’m going to request a refund.

Literally stumbled upon this place on accident and I couldn’t be more happy about it. Everyone there had SUCH great vibes and were so generous with drinks. Great dj. had a blast dancing. Everyone made you feel so welcome. Would definitely come back again next time I’m in bk. The place is low key and looks like a hole in the wall but don’t let it fool you!

From the outside I thought this place looked like shit.
But then I went in, had a beer, and order the bistec a la parilla. Dank ass meat, with tasty beans and rice, and lots of it. Very basic, but actually pretty damn good. I’ve eaten here like three times since then and it still holds up.

The pernil, beef stew, chicken stew, tostones and morro are always on point. I love the familial nature of the staff here — and they don’t mind my not-​so-​great Spanish speaking. Always a good place to grab eats.

The best pernil (roast pork) in the world is served at this restaurant. I thought one of my relatives from DR had prepared the rice and beans — very good! The sancocho is authentic and very flavorful. I was waited on quickly and treated very well. The place was pleasantly clean and clearly deserves the A rating it has received. This place is awesome!
