Very tasty stuff, but staff is unfriendly sometimes and the prices are crazy! Also I saw them putting old ketchup from old bottles into new ones. But again, the food tastes good!

The cheese is stringy, definitely not one would consider mozzarella. I knew from the start I couldn’t get a real pepperoni slice, but I enjoy plain also. Its crowed with kids from the neighborhood schools so if you want a quiet place this isn’t it. Truth be told kids will eat anything as long as they have a place to hang. There are better places to go both kosher and non-kosher in the area. One good point its right by the the B/Q subway.

Overall I like J2 a lot. My go-to is the Tuna sandwich for $ 6.50 which fills me and is not terribly pricey. I also like the Falafel for $ 6.00 which comes with a drink. Mincha at 4:15 everyday too.

We stopped by Jerusalem II for Sunday breakfast during our visit to Brooklyn. We were immediately greeted by the friendly and jovial staff who made great recommendations for our food. Very reasonably priced. Their eggs were great, but my favorite were the potato knishes. I’d definitely stop again next time I’m in Brooklyn!

I went to school for about 10 years across the street from this place, and it was a frequent lunch spot for me and my friends. It’s still very popular with the local Jewish school kids, so don’t be surprised if you’re overrun by loud young people when you stop by. The pizza’s pretty good. It would have to be, to keep up with demanding kids day in and day out, as well as the Jewish community surrounding it. It’s like an assembly line behind the counter some days, what with the traffic they get from the local Yeshivas. The owner(I *think* his name is Eddie, but I could be lapsing in my old age) is a sweetheart, and does his best to remember the names of his regulars. He’s also got some fun stories if you stick around to actually chat a bit. I always loved their square slices, but I think their cherry-cheese knishes are really some of the best I’ve had. I’m not sure if they’ve changed much since I graduated(I don’t really frequent the area much anymore), but I really doubt they would drop much in quality. If they did, BOY would they hear it from their regulars.
