I’ve been doing Tower pilates for years and have taken other pilates group classes but Indigo Pilates has great instructors and the classes are small enough to get individual attention without paying expensive personal training fees. They provide a great workout without hurting yourself. Judy C

I signed up for prenatal pilates at Indigo just after I found out I was pregnant(at about 7 weeks.) I attended classes regularly throughout my pregnancy, and I have to say it was probably the best part of my pregnancy! Spela is an incredible teacher, with vast experience both as a movement instructor and as a mother herself. She knew exactly how to instruct us at varying stages of pregnancy; had all kinds of useful advice for moving, sleeping, and the eventual childbirth; and was generally fun to be around. I would recommend the prenatal classes to anyone!

I’ve been going to Indigo for private Pilates lessons once a week for about a year, after my amazing teacher began to travel outside NY. She recommended it and I love it! I highly highly highly recommend CJ, who is an excellent, creative, patient, and empathetic teacher. She adapts the class each week after discussion with me about how I feel that day, my progress learning the movements from the week before. WHile being completely nonjudgmental, she challenges me to improve and inspires me to practice during the week when I am at home. She’s also an incredibly nice person! Everyone there is very friendly and it’s a relaxing nonjudgmental atmosphere. The classes are very small and everyone gets individual attention. I absolutely love it.

I am glad the closest pilates studio to my house is Indigo. Almost all of the instructors are terrific, patient and know when to push you and when to let you relax. I come out of every class feeling straighter and happy, and can even feel that great, slight soreness in my core the next day. I started out with one-on-one instruction on the machines before moving to mat and tower classes and found that helped greatly in my advancement. My only complaint is that the early morning classes are more geared to the elderly and stretching, rather than a workout. Bring back the morning tower class!

After being disappointed by other local prenatal group pilates classes, I thought I’d give Indigo a shot. It was possibly one of the best classes I’ve been to in awhile — prenatal or otherwise. Although the class is definitely suitable for a beginner, it was also great for someone that’s at an intermediate to advanced level(like me). Aside from providing a great core workout, the instructor was fantastic about correcting body alignment and form — something that often gets ignored in group classes. The studio itself was very nice — tiny(like all pilates studios in Brooklyn), but completely equipped and impeccably clean. I would definitely recommend Indigo’s prenatal class to all pregnant ladies looking for a core-focused workout. I will definitely be back — both during my pregnancy and afterwards.

10 bucks for your first class?! Sounds good to me. When I had more time, I came here weekly and the hour classes flew by. The instructors are friendly and never made me feel like I was doing something wrong, even though I most certainly was at times. I’m a little biased because I happen to know one of the owners… but I wouldn’t keep coming back if it wasn’t worth it.

The best and friendliest Pilates instructors. At Indigo I had probably the best massage in my life, the effects lasted days!

This small Pilates studio has a supportive, experienced staff. It’s a great place for beginners as well as more experienced students. They offer private classes, group classes and tower classes. It’s a friendly place where they strive to make students feel comfortable.

I’ve had 2 massages at Indigo, and can honestly say this is the best place in Park Slope to purchase a deep tissue massage. The studio is comfortable and unpretentious. I love the off-the-beaten-path location and the simple décor. The folks who work here are true professionals, and the prices are totally reasonable. Bravo, highly recommended! 4 stars since I have only done massage and not Pilates here.

I attended a postnatal group Pilates mat class with Spela who is also the owner of the studio. It is the only group Pilates class I know of where babies are welcome which is a HUGE plus and the reason why I went out of my way to attend. I came from a different neighborhood and was able to park! Spela did an amazing job at focusing on our every move making adjustments and giving guidance while also helping to keep my 5 month old from getting bored or cranky. She was so natural and comfortable the way she would scoop him up and rock him while she taught the class and also found many ways to incorporate him into the moves which was fun for both of us. It’s a beautiful space with a great vibe. I highly recommend this studio.
