Came here 3 times for a falafel, and was satisfied each time. For the price and size of the falafel you can’t go wrong. They put hummus, good salad(not just lettuce and tomatoes, but also cucumbers and some other stuff) and the hot sauce is perfect not too spicy. Friendly service, I will stop by whenever I’m in the area

Just ordered a falafel. The white sauce tasted like mayo and overpowered everything else. Didn’t help that it was drowned in it. Had to toss it after a few bites.

Lamb Gyro was delicious!!! My family stopped in when super hungry and it was better than expected. The looks of the place are not that great but the food was so tastey! Can’t beat $ 6 for a gyro– gigantic gyro!

Taxi cab driver paradise. The immigrant working class’s restaurant. The interior is run down and reminds me of restaurants in Yemen. Defiantly 3rd country vibe when it comes to interior. They got steam tables and make gyro or shawarma sandwiches. People serving are kind and speak both English/Arabic/and African languages to serve the customers. I got a half chicken with Veges instead of rice. Side of hummus, and 1 kofta. There are a lot of varieties of chicken and beef. The influence is Arabic & Indian like with curry style options. The baked chicken is kind of dry. Hummus is mad good and so was the salad and stewed carrots. Kofta was nice, nothing to rave about. The platters are nice. I had gyro and chicken platters before. Nothing amazing, like most carts but pricier. I’d come back again to try the gyro sandwich but I’m assuming it’s like everything else, basic. Basically a no frills joint with some basic Arabic/Indian foods that are kind of pricey and leave you like«mmmmmm okay»

I got a small #Oxtail. It was so good. I was sucking on the bones. My fingers smelled like #Oxtail when I met my friends afterward.

My favorite spot for Halaal food!!! Everything is so yummy… esp. lamb with okra and rice. A regular stop. The guys here are really nice too. Must visit.

Ok ok… I am a regular diner here, so much so, that they know my order — a chicken gyro sandwich with lettuce, green peppers, cucumber salad, and bbq sauce or honey mustard sauce for just $ 6.50. You cannot beat that bargain and it’s hearty enough to hold you for a few hours. The staff is always friendly and willing to guide you through their menu. They’re experts at helping indecisive customers weigh their options and choose. There is always a lunch rush, who knew halal food was so popular across cultures.

I came here because of the great Unilocal reviews. I was severely disappointed. The food was all completely underwhelming. Nothing about this place is special or very good. The food looks better in pictures. Won’t be coming back. I got the lamb and okra over rice. I would have given it 1 star but the guys working here are nice.

Ok place but would sit inside. Place to too congested. Otherwise food is ok depending on your interests.

Really didnt like the vibe in this place. This is the only halal place that has ample seating but it was so hot and I could feel the heat emanating from the kitchen. I didnt really care for the people serving me. The guy was hostile and asked me if I had paid when I had literally paid a minute before to his co worker that was standing right next to him. Then I couldn’t reach the strays it was so high on the counter and asked him for help. He just started mumbling in Arabic. Now I am not arabic speaker but Regardless you shouldnt be talking to a customer or mumbling when they are speaking to you in English?! Anyhow the part that made me really angry was when I was trying to throw out the trash and a group of guys wanted to pass. They werent willing to wait but also werent willing to say excuse me to me either. One of the counter guys actually yelled at me «your in the way»! When I turned around and said«excuse me» he got quiet but then just started cracking jokes in his language which made the other customers laugh with him. Are you kidding me?! As a single female I was totally uncomfortable with this behavior. Not female friendly at all seems like a den or hangout spot for Arab guys. God know what crap was coming out of their mouths but next time rest assured I wont be spending my money here. So much for being friendly for everybody as as all muslims whether they are arabic or not! Disgusting!

The food is so delicious here! This place is really awesome. Best chicken and lamb mix over rice I have ever tried. Portions are decent, I get full after eating a bit more than half of a plate. The prices are super reasonable, especially considering the fact of huge sizes of the portions. Also they got a decent salad with fresh vegetables which matches perfectly to your meat dishes plus is very healthy. Baklava for the desert is also pretty tasty. There are also many other foods to order which a I have not tried yet, and people around were eating them with a good appetite so it is supposed to be also very delicious. Guys who work there are really hard working, polite and very friendly. They always get my orders right, make them ready really quickly and and never leave me disappointed about anything in their service. It is a definitely five stars halal food place, great service and great food.

This place is awesome, and the guys working here really are some of the nicest people you can come across. Also not to mention, that the food is outstanding and they give you serious portions sizes. For the amount of food you get, the price is pretty low, so I would definitely recommend trying it out. I can’t even imagine how much I would go here if I lived on Atlantic. Yesterday was my second time here with my friend and both of us can’t wait to come again!

Was passing around Atlantic av. and craving for some Halal, stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a go. I had a mixed Lamb and Chicken over rice, with white sauce and was super delicious and satisfying! The rice and lamb were very tasty and not bland like some other places. This place also has a wide selection of dishes and salads, next time I’ll try the Okra and lamb.

Don’t be put off by the looks of the place(it looks like a dump), but it has the most wonderful food! I had the lamb with okra and salad and the meal was so good that I ended up sucking on the bones(good thing the place wasn’t fancier). The lamb shank was cooked to perfection as well. Freshly made baklava was the perfect dessert. Warning: since they only provide plastic cutlery and styrofoam cups, you would do better by ordering ‘to go’ and take the yummy food home.

This is the ONLY halal spot I go too. I don’t trust the carts. I always get the chicken and lamb combo platter with rice and salad. The food is SO good. The food is always fresh and the guys are super friendly. The baklava is also good. haven’t tried anything else here, but I’m sure it’s all delicious.

One of the experience halal In the city, 11 bucks for lamb over rice, but better quality than the food cart.

Food is great. Wait staff is courteous and friendly. I suggest the lamb and okra if you like okra. BUT the reason I am giving it 3 stars is the atmosphere is AWFUL. Some of the people that sit around that place and«hang out» ruin it. The other day I was eating in there and some men were in the back playing obscene rap music and one man called me baby. I thought to myself if I wanted to be in a bar/club atmosphere I wouldn’t be in a Halal restaurant.

They cook your food the way you want it and right in front of you. They are not cheap with the meat or vegis. They are very nice employees. Place seems clean and organized. It’s not fancy but the food it AMAZING! :) highly recommend!

$ 7 for a no-frills, small lamb and rice with one side. I had the okra as my side but they also offered beans. I’ve had better rice dishes for cheaper, but I suppose they have to charge more for having a physical sit-down location. Guy behind the counter was super nice. Would come back and try something else.
