I’ve been seeing Mary for three years now and recently followed her to Hair & Co. When I met her, I’m pretty sure my hair was at least four different shades of brown from multiple bad dye jobs in Park Slope. Not only did she help get my hair back in shape, but now I trust her for everything and look forward to seeing her and the rest of the Hair & Co. staff every month. The new salon is gorgeous and they take great care of you. Highly recommend!

Beautiful space with knowledgeable, accommodating staff and top of the line products. I was able to reschedule my appointment with no hassle and felt very welcome entering the salon.
Drew began my appointment by talking through my desired style and my current hair routine. He asked me what products I currently use and advised me on various products for my hair type – even products that aren’t currently carried @ the salon (really appreciate this!!). After completing my cut and while styling my hair, Drew made sure to really point out the most effective ways to use products.
I will definitely be back!!!

I found Mary a couple of years ago at her previous salon after having suffered multiple expensive disappointments at brand-​name salons in Manhattan — and discovered my Colorist for Life!!! Good thing she only moved a few blocks down because I would travel wherever it takes to get my hair done by her (and I mean that).
My color results are fabulous every time with no exceptions — and that is not by accident. Mary is THE HAIR WIZ. That became apparent immediately at my first consultation with her years ago. Not only she understands color, but she tempers that with the care of someone truly passionate about their craft and dedicated to their clients. You can feel how much she cares about making you happy. A combination of traits so hard to find! And then it gets even better — I have never seen highlighted hair so silky, shiny, soft and bouncy, I cannot believe this is my own hair that she just did. To all of this, add her fun personality, and you’ve got yourself a total winner. I — JUST — LOVE — HER.
But all the greatness doesn’t end with Mary. Hair & Co. is a beautiful salon, classy, modern, sophisticated but above all they have superb staff. Everyone — and I mean every single person you interact with — is super friendly, fun, helpful, just a total joy. They seem all on a mission to make your day. What a fine selection of top professionals. I just had my hair done last night and already can’t wait for my next appointment. Thanks guys, keep up the fantastic work!

I came in for a consultation one day and talked with the staff. They assured me they knew how to do a proper fade or pompadour, whatever the mens hairstyle and gave me a price sheet with a 20% off coupon to use for my first haircut. I had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly professional, kind and communicative, putting up with all my high maintenance questions during the haircut. Unfortunately, when it came to check out, I presented my coupon and the price for this haircut was $ 50. I wasn’t prepared for this price, especially after presenting that coupon. Having looked on the price sheet, I saw $ 45 being the lowest, and asked the price beforehand (during consult) what it might be for this haircut. It’s unfortunate, because I understand what it takes for a small business to operate, but I can’t come back because of this price. :(It’s too bad because I would love to be a regular client. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hair and Co! I had the pleasure of having Franklin cut my hair. This review is coming from someone who usually gets the run of the mill guy haircut at whatever cheap barber. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel I must for the exceptional job Franklin did. He spent so much time with my haircut and explained everything he did. I was open to any of his suggestions and I’m glad I went with them because I really enjoyed what he did. The other woman who was there who seemed to run the front of the house type gig… she was wonderful as well. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. I’m so glad to see such a nice place open up in Clinton Hill! Thanks!

I have been seeing Mary for about 2 years over three salons and I would never see anyone else. In that time she has taken me from platinum to brown to chestnut to pink (I’m «Cotton Candy Hair» in the photos) to my current look which is a dusty rose with a cool-​tone purple shadow root. As a long-​time home experimenter with bleach and fashion color, I never thought I would have hair that looks and feel this good after all those processes, and yet I constantly get complements not only on the amazing color, but also the general health and shine of my hair. If you’re a fashion color junkie or are in the habit of changing your hair a lot, do yourself a favor and go see Mary or any of her amazing colleagues at Hair & Co — you’ll never want anyone else touching your hair again!!! You guys are literally the best and I’m so glad to have such a world class salon in my neighborhood.

I am so glad I found this new salon in my neighborhood! Chad is absolutely a dream, he was wonderful to talk to but more importantly gave me a GORGEOUS haircut that was exactly what I wanted. I only get my haircut about twice a year and generally keep it pretty long, so Chad gave me a beautiful layered cut that looks effortlessly styled without losing that longer look. So 5 stars for the best haircut ever… on top of that, from the moment I walked in the staff and stylists are incredibly warm and welcoming– I really felt like I was a VIP. Also, I had a delicious espresso in my hands almost instantly which was amazing. And the space is beautifully decorated, bright and airy, just a lovely way to spend an afternoon. I will recommend to friends, and I look forward to going back for my next cut!

Hair and Co is nothing short of perfection. A clean, airy space that is super close to my home home, the staff were able to book me right away with Drew (Aka curl master).
I have very thick, very curly hair and have learned that I need a stylist who knows how to work with my texture and boy is Drew a master. He is passionate about his work, and really brings that to the chair. We had wonderful conversation about hair, philosophy, and sci-​fi while he explained his method of adding shape to my particular curls. It was a very personalized experience, and I had a lot of fun!
My cut is amazing and my blowout is absolutely stellar. I am so pleased to find a stylist I can talk to, and who is really a cut above the rest (pun absolute intended). Go in, you won’t be disappointed.

Ok. Been going to Mary for over a year now, through a crazy good pixie, a cool asymmetrical cut, an improbably awesome double process, gorgeous mermaid blue-​gray, and freakishly long lasting electric purple. She’s the best – always honest, tasteful, clever and kind. I followed her to Hair & Co. Same cool ass talented Mary, now with super fancy products and a lot more plate glass windows. A+

Had the pleasure of getting my cut done with Drew Irmen. Not only did he do an excellent job of communicating his approach, but he provided guidance in terms of shaping/​maintenance post-​cut. Highly recommended.
Aside from the cut, Hair & Co BKLYN provides a very welcoming + relaxing environment. I was immediately greeted and taken care of from the minute I stepped in the door (beverage included). I can see and feel the effort put in by the crew there and I really appreciate such focus. Looking forward to the next time.

I followed CHRISTINE here from Owl and Pussycat. I will follow a good stylist pretty much anywhere, including another city, so when I heard she was leaving O+P I braced myself for the extreme logistical planning and hours of commuting it might take to keep working with her. When I found out she was only moving a few blocks away, I was overjoyed! But my point is, though, I am so happy with her, I really would have made bi-​monthly pilgrimages to Timbuktu for her!
And why is Christine so worth it (I go to her for cut and color)? She is intelligent and patient and calm. I actually enjoy spending the time with her. She has loads of experience and is very knowledgable; she knows what she’s doing. You can trust her. She’s both artistic and precise. She takes personal pride in her work and makes my hair look great! And she doesn’t consider her job finished unless you are completely satisfied.
The new salon, Hair and Co is literally brand new. It’s clean and bright and modern and very friendly. They have great products too! Highly recommended!

This salon is the best I’ve ever been to! Drew Irmen transformed my hair. He not only made me look amazing, but I left feeling my absolute best!
I have a lot of fine, frizzy, curly and very long hair. I’ll admit I’m pretty attached to it, even though the ends are dead. I came into the salon looking for something new, but I didn’t want to cut my hair. Drew didn’t pressure me at all, like so many other hair stylists have in the past. Instead, he recommended a deep conditioning treatment. My hair has never felt softer or stronger! After the treatment he gave me an incredible blowout. If you need a lasting hairstyle, definitely go to Drew — my hair usually curls up at the mere mention of humidity, but after Drew styled it it stayed straight for days, even after a rainy day, a workout, and a visit to the sauna! Seems like hair voodoo to me!
This salon is beautiful, the staff is so welcoming, and Drew is the best hairstylist! I’ll definitely be back soon.

I followed Christine here from Owl and Pussycat salon because she did such a fantastic job on my color there and I’m so glad I did!
I went in on a Saturday, told her what I was thinking, and left feeling great. But a day later I realized the color was unfortunately just too dark for me, I called and scheduled another appointment with Christine and she was so SO nice about it. She fit me in right away and made sure I didn’t leave until the color was exactly what I wanted.
I’ve only had to go back and «fix» my color one other time in my life (different salon) and I felt so bad about asking but Christine was so understanding and it’s easy to tell she just wants her clients to be happy and love their hair.
Hair & Co was also lovely, clean, and the rest of the staff was wonderful too. I highly recommend!

I’ve been with Jenni for about 2 years now at the Owl and the Pussycat and was more than happy to follow her to Hair & Co! I wholeheartedly recommend Jenni to everyone I know — she is so great at helping me bring my hair «visions» to light while also being just an amazing person to catch up with every time I visit. The new space is amazing — very bright, clean, and modern with a fantastic back garden. I recently got to experience a deep conditioning treatment and blowout with the Keune products at the grand opening event and loved it! The product smells amazing and like Jenni said, has reactivated after the last few shampoos to keep my hair nice and soft. I can’t wait to go back for my cut and color in December!

I just happen to be walking by Hair & Co BKLYN during their grand opening and was instantly sold. I’ve been looking for a hair stylist and a place to call home for 2 years now. The location is perfect and everyone was very welcoming, I had the honor to have Franklin Berry cut, color and work magic on my hair and now I’m extremely happy with the end result. If you are looking for high end hair care with individuals who know what they are doing please please go visit Hair & Co BKLYN. The owner Shannon is very nice and out right down to earth. Remember to ask for Franklin Berry he is the best stylist I had years!!!

Hairstylist– FRANKLIN BERRY is definitely the Hair Doctor. I took my sister to get her hair done, not really knowing what she wanted to get done, but I had an idea, of what she may liked, and boy oh boy was I right.
Thanks to HAIRSTYLIST FRANKLIN– whose very informative, and shows so much compassion for what he loves and it DEFINITELY shows in his work. The Hair Doctor worked his magic into her hair, not only did he work his magic in her hair… but he also gave her great advice on what product works best for her.
This salon itself is everything, its cozy and the staff is very welcoming… if I could give it more STARS I WOULD ****** ;-) (AMAZING)

I had my first taste of Hair&Co about two weeks ago and it was definitely worth the travel. I had the honor of having FRANKLIN BERRY transforming my hair into a walking piece of art! Franklin, was very knowledgeable and took his time. He took my natural hair from blah to BOOOM! I will definitely be back.
And for anyone seeking a PROFESSIONAL team of stylists, I advise you to try Hair&Co!!! The team of stylist were very warm, professional and inviting. But the most important factor is that they are very knowledgeable and confident in what they specialize in.

I had been seeing Mary previously at Owl & Pussycat and was so pleased to hear that she had returned to Clinton Hill. Seriously — what’s a girl to do without her? The only thing topping her color work is her personality; you will never get bored having your hair done by her!
The new salon is beautiful, modern, and sleek — a refreshing change from other local alternatives making this spot not only wonderful, but much needed!
Did you feel a breath of fresh air just hit you in the face? Probably, and it just came from Hair & Co.
