Very impressed — just got lenses replaced in my frames with an updated prescription. They were able to examine and determine the prescription of my old lenses, the kind they were, etc. so that they could order the exact same type of lenses with my new prescription. Once they got my new lenses arrived, they got them into my frames in under an hour, adjusted for fit, and gave me complimentary items to care for my new lenses. The people who work there truly went above and beyond what was needed to give me a pleasant experience, especially since I did not use their optometrist etc. I visited other eyeglasses stores in the area before arriving here that charged more and seemed less concerned since I wasn’t a full service customer.

I have truly terrible vision, to the extent that the coverage with my insurance is a little complicated. when i asked them for help navigating the forms required, his office personnel acted like i was bothering them and ACTUALLYHUNGUPONME. i have never been so disrespected by a doctor. Dr. Polizzi himself was no better, he refused to even talk to me about the issue and said he had other patients. He could have scheduled a talk with me at a later time, but refused to. If you have no special circumstances, perhaps he will be fine. But if you require any extra help, this office will treat you like a nuisance and completely blow you off. I went in as a new patient. The front staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Dong was excellent. He took the time to explain everything to me and seemed to genuinely care about his patients. I had been to discount places before and was frustrated at the lack of care and professionalism. It was definitely worth paying a little extra to get the level of care I received today.

I went as a new patient for an eye exam. Everyone here was helpful, kind, and informative. My appointment was thorough and timely, but I did not feel rushed at any point even though I was seen at the end of the day. I have been coming here since I was 3 years old, I am now 25. I can honestly say I love Greenpoint Vision Care. I have a check up once a year and I never have any complaints. They have always been so helpful, insightful and great at customer service. Dr. Polizzi is amazing, he has been my optometrist for years now. They have helped me pick out my first pair of glasses when I was 3 to even helping me learn to put in my contact lenses as a teen. I moved from greenpoint along time ago but I still come here. My family members that also come here have no complaints and they treat us like family.

I came here last year for the first and last time for a prescription for just my contacts. The staff behind the counter are only helpful if you are aggressive about asking them for assistance. The optometrist had given me a somewhat standard eye exam and asked the right questions but he also changed the measurements slightly saying my previous contacts were actually the wrong measurements for me. My contacts arrived on time, but when I started wearing them I had trouble adjusting them in my eyes and my right contact was always blurry. So I opened up another package and the same thing happened. I eventually took them to Greenpoint Vision Care and asked the optometrist about them-His response was unbelievable! He basically implied I was making a complaint out of nothing and that the lenses were fine and proceeded with the next customer. He made no effort to address my issue! Don’t waste your time! Find another optometrist through friends!

I really had an overall great experience here. The woman at the front desk was thorough and very friendly. And Dr. Wong was GREAT! Very nice, friendly, took his time with me and we talked about lots of options personalized for my needs. I don’t feel like you get personal service anymore in healthcare and when you do, you should rave about it! All around, great experience. I will be coming back, even if I leave Greenpoint.

Terrible service. The receptionist goes out of her way to create situations to tell me they couldn’t help me and just generally make life difficult, every time I visit this place. Probably would be much better if they had some people on staff who weren’t eager to find reasons to tell you«no». Thumbs way down. Don’t patronize this place.

Unfortunately I didn’t have the best when I last came here. Worst part is, I was not even getting glasses. My brother was. And he needed them by a certain time because he was going away for college. He informed the staff member that helped him but obviously it does not matter as it took over 2 weeks for 1 pair of glasses to come in. When we tried to find out what was taking so long all we got was an explanation that the frames are sent out and lenses are put in at another place. I understood that as I have gotten many pairs done. What baffled me was in August I went and had 2 pairs taken care of in 4 days. And when there was a mistake, rather than argue I paid extra and what not, I got the order fixed the same day. I even felt guilty when asking why it took so long but honestly when I was given no time frame of when to expect them and my brother informing them of how it was time sensitive I shouldn’t feel guilty about it. Also we were told we would receive a call when they got in. Nope, I had to call and find out. I will say though, the optometrists alone would get 5 stars any day. Its just the inconsistent service and less than stellar experience that made me upset. I would return and recommend that people return but be on top of your order because it might just be that they have too many clients and it could be overwhelming for them. Bottom line: Come here for excellent doctors but make an appointment in advance. When ordering try and get a time frame for the order and keep on top of it. If you know you need glasses get it done a month in advance so that you don’t risk not having them in time.

This is probably my favorite optometrist in the area. The staff is wonderful and accommodating, their selection and prices are the best around. I get a pair of glasses every year through my insurance, so I’ve got a pretty good lay of the land over the past few years. This is it for me. I recently got a pair of specs here, and the experience was 5-star-worthy from start to finnish. They told me that it could take around 7 days for my glasses to be ready, but then it only took 4. Highly recommended.

My only complaint was that it took an entire week to get an appointment. I just moved here and broke my glasses, so I had to be blind for a week before I got an eye exam and a supply of contacts. Otherwise, everyone was really nice. The receptionist was very knowledgeable, the assistant was patient while she helped me figure out how to use contacts for the first time, and I saw Dr. Jessica(not sure what her last name is) who is there on Tuesdays and Thursdays, was also very helpful. I didn’t get glasses from them because my insurance would only cover contacts OR glasses, so they were happy to give me a copy of my Rx.

I’ve been comming here for a few years on and off. The front staff mostly remains the same and the woman in the front is very knowledgeable and helpful even when there are problems with my insurance, which I know is most frustrating for them. I have no complaints because I am usually seen exactly at the appointment time given and the doctors seem to take their time and do every test possible for my annnual check-ups.
