If this place wasn’t right down the street from me, I wouldn’t go there.
They have a decent selection, but it is hard to tell what is fresh and what isn’t if you don’t have a trained eye.
The beer selection is decent.

Good place. They had great organic tomatoes over the summer at unbelievable prices, went there all the time. Has a good selection of organics (although check for occasional mold), good beer selection, ice cream, dairy. The cookie aisle, canned goods, etc are a bit more generic bodega, but the refrigerated aisle has some nice stuff. Usually friendly staff, but not always. After their remodeling, it’s quite nice, and a nice competitor to UM.

Always got what I need. Prices are what they should be and the guys that run this place are super friendly and chill. Also, their coffe is AMAZING. I can’t believe I’m saying that about a grocery store’s ‘pour your own’ but it really is. I wish they did ice coffee!

Been here several times over the years — generally fine. Until today when the store manager who’s always there tried to sell me an avocado he swore was organic when it clearly was not. (I usually don’t care much, but was asked by someone to specifically get an organic avocado.) I asked him twice, skeptically, and he insisted it was def organic, saying the regulars were somewhere else in the store. After paying I looked up the label’s item number on my phone and it was clearly just a ‘regular’, as i had thought. I came back to return it, asking why he went to such lengths to sell a $ 2 avocado. he got hostile and told me to get the f*** out of the store. Way to cultivate your local customers — lie, cheat and insult all in one tidy transaction!

Either my husband or I go here every day. It’s a little pricy, but very convenient, so that’s what we are paying for I guess. Nice clean store and a friendly staff.

Cute little grocery a bit closer to my boyfriend’s place than union market. Produce and a dairy asile, plus your normal dry and canned goods, and some household stuff. They had some pretty fun/​different ice cream flavors in a freezer in the back. They’re building a winter enclosure outside the building right now… curious about what will be out there.
