The yin to Church Fruit Farm’s yang. Since it’s smaller and easier to navigate, I usually do a quick run through Great Vegetable, go across the street to Church Fruit Farm, check that out, and buy from both according to the condition of the specific produce I’m looking for. They have a good/the usual selection of American and Caribbean produce. Prices are pretty much(usually exactly) the same at both stores, and overall, the condition of the produce is about the same, with individual items varying of course from day to day. It’s rarely pristine, but usually very good, and with the occasional exception, never falls below acceptable.(Whole-Foods-beautiful it’s not, but I’ll take reasonable prices at a neighborhood market over WF’s mega-corporate atmosphere and high prices any day.) Their selection of dairy, frozen and dry goods(shelf-stable and stuff like dried fish) is small compared to Church Fruit Farm’s, but I find the place much friendlier than CCF, so while I do shop at the latter, I personally prefer shopping at Great Vegetable.

Not the freshest veggies but definitely the cheapest in the hood. Youll find everything you need and really great deals on almost everything. Just dont store fresh food away for long… veggies and fruit here dont have a long shelf life.

Standard fruit and veggie place. Nothing to rave or rant about but they usually do have a good selection of produce in good condition. Prices are very reasonable.
