The stuff in this place is meh I had ordered the Fried Dumplings since the main of every dumpling place is Fried Dumplings it was meh and too oily with also the Owner being a Cheap Dirtbag with EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING watered down especially the sarancha and tries to price grunge almost everything they had cut off the 5 for 1 dumplings back to 4 for 1 and man the attitude of this men is horrible it’s almost like the world owes him money or something when I come to his store with orders of other restaurants his face turns into a sour look almost like he just ate a whole lemon I would not come here if there’s a nearer dumpling store around here in fact if I’m not too lazy to walk the extra 4 streets I would be buying from kaifenfu which tastes WAYBETTER then this store

I love this place for their pork dumplings, stir noodles, and friendly counter guy. Although, their chicken dumplings are mostly vegetables. Steam buns are a tasty finger food. Opens late. Usually, closes after eleven.

This place is amazing! My favorite dumpling place in the entire world. Ok so maybe I haven’t traveled through the entire world yet, but I can definitely say that this is my favorite dumpling house. I’m even going to say that it’s better than Prosperity dumpling. Prosperity dumpling is extremely well known a) because it’s been around for a long time and b) because of all the attention it gets from social media. But trust me this place is better. First off, while both places seem dirty, their food makes up for it. Prosperity dumpling is a lot smaller than Great Taste Dumpling and it gets really crowded in Prosperity. Great Taste dumpling has tables so families/friends can enjoy their meal there instead of taking it out. The two places both have the same wait time in regards to the food. I usually come here when I’m hungry and want something good, cheap, and filling to eat. I’ll order $ 2 pan-fried pork dumplings and one hot and sour soup which I believe is $ 1.75 right now. Correct me if I’m wrong. It’s really cheap and super filling. Other times, I get the pork tendon udon noodle soup. I’m not sure if I translated correctly in English. Oops. That shouldn’t subtract from my argument tho! I’m absolutely in love with this place. It is amazing. Definitely try this place out when you’re in Brooklyn Chinatown. It might be far for some, but it is definitely worth the travel.

Popped in here on a Monday late afternoon to grab some dumplings to hold me over before dinner and it was a good decision! First time here and will definitely make another trip back soon. Cheap and tasty dumplings. It’s the best when you add soy sauce, vinegar and sriracha to them. I’m coming back here next time to grab a bag of frozen ones to make at home. :)

This little Chinese spot is just okay though the price is good. I would’ve given 1 more star but the owner is extremely unpleasant. I’ve witness him treating some of his customers terribly. I was just there yesterday, as I was waiting for my order, a young man who had just gotten his order politely asked if he can have one more packet of soy sauce. The owner was surprisingly rude and refused to give him one more packet. The owner is so cheap and stingy that he waters down his sauces(especially the Sriracha) with water, most shop owner water them down with vinegar. I really just had it and won’t be coming back here after seeing how he talked and treated an elderly grandma who tried to order soup. I was so angry I couldn’t finish what I wanted to say to him regarding the grandma. Seriously, what’s your business without customers?

Wait time is a bit long, but the price and quality more than make up for it! Now I have 50 frozen dumplings sitting comfortably in my freezer because of this place. Me? A glutton? Never…

Continuing with my vegetable dumpling adventure, I stopped by here and you DONOTORDER by saying the number. Just say what you want. They speak English. They also have a bathroom in the back and they let me us it. The prices are cheap but I wasn’t so happy with my vegetable dumpling. They also charge a heck lot more to fry it. veggie heads always get charged more. Sigh.

Delicious dumplings for a great price. But the food takes so long to make that I don’t want to order another batch. Also, beware of the sriracha, it’s extremely watered down. But if you’re the type of person who isn’t picky about every little detail, it’s a must to try this place because the taste of the food makes up for all of its shortcomings

I came here with my friends after swimming in sunset park. So far, I have tried their jajangmyun(black bean noodle) and fried dumplings. If you eat in, they give you your dumplings on a Styrofoam plate. The tables have soy sauce, vinegar(? There was a clear liquid in the red and yellow sauce containers) and sriracha. I don’t recommend using the sriracha since, as most reviewers have mentioned, it is watered down. The dumplings are cheap, you can purchase 4 fried dumplings(pork and chive) for $ 1. If you don’t want fried dumplings, they also have boiled ones, but I think the least you can buy is $ 2(or 8 dumplings). After ordering the dumplings, I received it after a few minutes since they already made some. Although I was really hungry, I had to take my time to eat it. The insides of the dumplings have a little soup, so be careful ! I wouldn’t recommend ordering their jajangmyun(black bean noodle). I was excited to get it since I’ve seen it a lot of times in Korean dramas(although it’s a Chinese food). I didn’t expect them to have it. I took a while for them to make the order. The noodles are really chewy, but I didn’t like the black bean sauce. It wasn’t as much as other places would give when you order jajangmyun and they only included small pieces of meat. It was expected since it was cheap(2.50), but in my opinion, the dumplings are a better choice than the jajangmyun. Will visit again if I’m craving dumplings after swimming.

Came here a few weeks ago looking for fried dumplings and pork buns. We were here later, so they were out of pork buns(though it’s nice to know they’re made daily) so we got dumplings. They were really good. My main complaint for other places is usually that the meat isn’t well seasoned in the dumpling– such was not the case here. And they were served so hot that they melted part of the styrofoam plate. Will be back!

This place is terrible. How’d it get 4 stars? Absolutely no component of this experience deserved 4 stars. We purchased $ 30 worth of food, including two soups that were never served. When confronting the grumpy man, he accused us of not ordering soups and that we had to pay $ 13 more for the soups. Obviously frustrated, a helpful Chinese woman eating there sorted it out, and lo and behold, he owed us two soups. He gave it to is 20 minutes later but the quality was absolutely terrible. The oxtail soup we received has two pieces of meat about the size of a quarter. Their dumplings were terrible, service was terrible, and their Saracha was watered down like mad. Don’t eat here. There are bullet holes in their windows for a reason.

These weren’t the most amazing dumplings in the world, but $ 2 for 8 very decent sized pork and chive? Well worth it. For my first stop on my dumpling tour of sunset park, it wasn’t a bad start.

You can’t go wrong with this place. This simple, delicious and amazingly cheap dumpling spot in Brooklyn’s Chinatown was the highlight of our Saturday bike adventure. 8 dumplings and soup for $ 2.50, we were stuffed for less than the price of a frappuccino! They have a huge menu of all sorts of things I didn’t recognize. Apparently they have frozen dumplings that you can take home and cook and the price is on point, but probably much tastier, to dumplings you can buy at Trader Joes. Glad to see this was a popular place. During our visit on Saturday afternoon, the line never stopped. I just wish I could bike here faster because it was so good and affordable!

These dumplings are the best Brooklyn option for frozen, cook-at-home dumplings. If you haven’t done it, it is EASY and instant meal you can have on the table in less than 20 minutes. These handmade ones are infinitely better than any grocery store version, and cheap too. I go in regularly and order 100 frozen pork and cabbage dumplings by the bag for $ 9, take them home, cook up 30 – 40 for the family of 4, and throw the rest in the freezer. Here’s how: 1.) Boil water in big pot over high heat. 2.) Throw frozen dumplings in and stir them around. Bring water back to a simmer(after all, you just threw in a bunch of dough/meat ice cubes) and turn down heat. Stir occasionally to prevent them from sticking. 3.) When they float, cook for one more minute then drain. Serve with soy sauce, vinegar and chili paste. Pan frying? Heat pan over high heat. Add oil, then dumplings and a cup of water or two to cover the bottom of the pan. Cover to steam until dough is cooked through. Take cover off so moisture evaporates and dumplings are golden brown. Eat! Refrying day-old boiled dumplings gets the best crust. Maillard probably knows why, but I don’t.

Yay ! I like this place :) The dumplings are juicy and $ 1 for 4. The taste and juiciness is too good to resist! I’ve tried their wontons and stuffed pancakes, as well. Not as big a fan on their wontons, but their pancakes aren’t bad at all! The man behind the counter always gives me a smile when I come in too. Why thank you :)

I’m a big fan of dumpling spots. I have a bias toward preferring spots that are mom-and-pop owned. There is something about the quality of food that can’t be duplicated at more mainstream spots. While visiting, I walked by this spot late at night and decided to walk in. The large menus displayed outside and inside do a good job at grabbing your attention. The section of dumplings is pretty impressive. On top of that, they have other options such as soups, sesame pancakes, fried buns, etc. I ordered veggie dumplings and pork dumplings. The prices are very low and the portions big. I like this spot and will try much more of the menu.

No way you can deny the awesomeness of buying dinner for two under $ 10! These dumplings are so good! I also like the sesame pancakes. All for less than $ 5 if it’s just me? YES. It is small, not fancy, but if you’re hungry and on a dime, you must come here and try the dumplings and sesame pancakes.

Fine. I admit I brought my girlfriend here for a romantic date, which to any one else would seem atrocious. It’s probably the least romantic spot to have a date. But that’s the great thing about dating another Asian woman. We both find it highly romantic to sit in an empty dumpling house on ratty chairs, dumping watered-down sriracha all over our delicious pork and chive dumplings that we bought for $ 1 a plate. I got a $ 1 cold soybean drink that came in a small tub, not a cup mind you, cuz that’s how Chinese people roll. We bought sesame pancakes — one with roast pork, and the other just with regular vegetables. So fresh, so soft, so delicious. We ordered crab rangoons and another plate of dumplings. I felt like the best girlfriend ever because I just kept telling her to order whatever she wanted, knowing that there was no way we would spend more than $ 15 there. Best part? Plenty of leftovers.

I came here because it was the highest rated dumpling place in Brooklyn’s «Chinatown». This place was actually very clean, had a number of tables, and a giant menu. I got the standard 4 pork and chive fried dumplings for $ 1. I thought they were good but still not as good as Prosperity in the city. I also found Kai Feng Fu down the street to be slightly better, though I would prefer to eat here just because of the space and menu options. I doubt anything on the menu would justify a special trip to Sunset Park just to eat here but I’m still jealous this isn’t my local delivery spot and I do plan on trying more of their menu next time I’m in the area.
