I live close by as well and this place is great. Extremely friendly staff and I can pick up almost anything organic. They are very knowledgeable as well. With the fresh produce, though, I agree they are lacking. However, I don’t count that against them as they are able to fill nearly all my other needs. I love their soups, but tend to pass on their sandwiches as Jesse’s down on the corner has that covered.

I live very close by, so perhaps my review is unduly influenced by its proximity. With that disclaimer, I can tell you that the owners are WONDERFUL people who are incredibly knowledgeable and also willing to special order stuff based on your recommendation. I love Tofutti Cuties but find it hard to locate coffee flavored ones in my nabe. I mentioned it to the owner, and since then he keeps the freezer fully stocked with them! I agree with the other reviewer… fresh produce is their only weakness. But the fresh soups are great, prices fantastic, and if you haven’t tried organic avocadoes you don’t know what you’re missing. :)
