Old school spot with incredible pizza. Italian game shows on tv complete the vibe. Hidden gem and worth a trip.

Beats anything in Kensington and the surrounding areas. Rocky’s is close competiton. I’ve eaten at all the neighborhood places and this is the best Sicilian pie, bar none. A round and a sicilian pie total $ 33. 2 squares and I am stuffed.

Old school Brooklyn pizza. And excellent fountain soda, brings back memories there not to many Pizzerias like this anymore.

I grew up on this pizza. I live a block away from this pizza place and every time I take a bite of that amazing slice I remember all the memorable times I’ve had. If you want to live a little putting mushrooms on top makes the slice go to another level of deliciousness.

Place rates super high on Unilocal,so I had check it out. This is an old school pizzeria. No heritage pork or organically sourced ingredients. The proprietor might be from Naples, but the oven isn’t. The spot itself is super clean, which is a stark contrast to the day before trash day in borough park. This about pizza though. Crust is that platonic ideal if crack to fold. Cheese and sauce come together like peanut butter and jelly. Great neighborhood spot.

Ha, during Rosh Hashanah, we’re waiting for four slices and a lady comes in and says, «Do you speak English?» to the guy Dominic behind the counter. He does. She says, «There are some guys standing outside of a building on 42nd, I said ‘Do you live here?’ I think they’re robbing the place. I can’t call the cops because it’s Rosh Hashana, so call them.» Umm yeah, ok. Dominic is like, «That street is 41st.» And she leaves. WTF. We all laughed at that yenta, I order four slices — three with pepperoni. Other guy gives us three with cheese and then reheats them with the pepperoni when I remind him. Twice hot pizza. And the root beer was flat, but I love this place now that I have a story with it.

It is nice to go to a pizza place that still uses cheese that stretches when you take a bite into the slice. The sauce was a little better than most slice joints. However, this place definitely does not have the makings of an elite-level pizza place, just a pretty good one. While I didn’t hold it against them in the rating, I didn’t like that the only slices they had available were a plain round and plain sicilian. They could benefit from having some options.

I have been eating pizza from Gino’s for 30 years and nothing has changed. They are hands down one of the BESTPIZZA places I have ever eaten and I have had a lot of pizza in my day. Sicilian or round you can’t go wrong. This pizza is AWESOME!

I havent been here for many years, but, this was the place we always went to when I was a kid. When we moved out of brooklyn to dreaded queens, and i got pizza, i was so disappointed because Ginos is what pizza is supposed to taste like. I cant wait to get back there.

So to start off, to the guy who gave this place a 1 star and called it mediocre, it’s really not. I get what he means by not being anything special but honestly, that’s what makes it good. It’s pretty much a classic Brooklyn pizza. No hype, just the straight forward pizza we grew up with. It’s good to just pick up and enjoy in the neighborhood with your family and just chill. There are plenty of pizza places that deserve 1 stars and this place isn’t one of them. It’s the best basic pizza I’ve ever had in Brooklyn and I plan to stay a loyal customer.

One of the best places to go for pizza. We’re lucky because we live 3 blocks from them. They are there for years and are as good as ever.

Solid local establishment with people who’ve been there for decades and solid, straightforward pies, old school style and still a deal @ $ 14 a pie.

I grew up a couple blocks down from this place. I still remember when it was $ 1.15, me and my friends going every day to buy a pie or 2 and split it. Man I don’t think I will ever find such a good pizza as this places. This is still by far the best best best pizza I have ever had anywhere. It sucks they stopped serving other foods, because even that was amazing, but the pizza is so damn good it’s enough to keep them in business. I bring friends and family members here when ever I’m in the mood for some damn good pizza. I live in staten island.
