went onto the website to get an arno figure and pick it up at the store. a few hours later it says they have it ready for pick up so i go there and the employees were clueless and did not have it in stock. like seriously? but they did have an altair figure so it was fine.

Don’t get me wrong i love a good Gamestop and frequent the stores around Brooklyn when i can, but this one i avoid.
So one warm and sunny fall day i go to take advantage of the 50% extra trade offer for used games as this smelly looking guy behind the counter in a dirty tee-​shirt is tallying my turn-​ins i see a few fees that leave me with less store credit then i should have gotten…“hey whats up” i say… oh those are refurb fees for scratched games… and i reply «that’s the way you guys sold them to me».”.i don’t know that” says the smelly gentleman.
To make a short story short i tell him forget it and hand me back my games… To which i went to nearby court street Gamestop where they have more pleasent employees and gotten my full store credit… even some extra because the kid behind the counter suggested i pre-​order a game i’m interested in for and get 30% credit… Fin.

As the auntie of two wonderful teenage nephews, I have spent alot of time at alot of GameStops. And since I got my own console, I have spent even more time there than ever. Most of my times in the past have not always been pleasant. But hey, they probably think I’m coming in there to get Donkey Kong and Legend of Zelda when they’d rather talk about the time they waited in line for Black Halo and Red Dead Redemption. They’re right by the way.
Anyway, I usually do my shopping in NJ because I feel like I get way better customer service for less tax and free parking but strolling along Fulton trying to get back to our car, me and The Betrothed stopped in at GameStop for some odd reason. We were greeted pleasantly at the door and from that moment on even though we were hemming and hawing about what game to get and asking a million questions, the staff there was great. Everyone was both knowledgeable and friendly, even though the store was busy. I’ll be back again and again and I might not even complain about the parking. It’s now my preferred GameStop.
