Very(very) limited selection; not very well lit; very narrow aisles that clog up if 2 people stand next to each other. The sales flyers in the windows don’t always match up with the signs inside. They have basic pantry staples, but nothing more. It’s not filthy, but not exactly spotless, either. Basically, it’s a subsistence-level step up from a corner bodega, minus the produce. The only conceivable reason to shop here instead of, say, Big Banana down the block is that they have a bigger selection of frozen meals(ie, TV dinners.) If you don’t have a car and want something resembling a real supermarket, get on the Kings Highway bus and go a mile or so in either direction.

This place is not for everything, but it is for things that are on sale. Let me explain, there are times when they have great sales on very useful items. For example the huge 72 oz ricotta on sale for less then half it’s original 7.50 price tag ! BAM lasagna or stuffed shells that night! They also always have some kind of deal in ice cream ;P and they have the good kind. They have TONS of pastas and sauce, sometimes on sale. As well as juices, yogurts and other things that I don’t buy from here. What they do have, that is hard to find on kings highway, is Basic Kitchen Cooking Stocks, this is the only store that I see who sells good boxed stock, with all the types: veg, chic, beef, and seafood! All in all I don’t rely on this store for my essentials, but I do shop for some extra ingredences. Plus the owner/manager is really nice :)

The store is very small but they carry the basics that you need. They do not have a produce section or a meat section. The people at this location are very nice.
