Tasty grilled jerk chicken, not too spicy, with a nice selection of sauces to perfect the flavor. The portions served are undeservingly huge. The place may see a little disorganized, but when they call your order number and present your bird to dress with one of those sauces, all is right with the world

Looooove there jerk chicken and there jerk sauce is perfect I always add some pepper sauce to it too. The 6 $ ¼ chicken is a generous amount.

I visited here in November 2015, Id seen it before when Id been to Flatbush but that was the first time I dined here. Simply put, it’s the best Jerk Chicken I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. The jerk sauce they use here is amazing, it has a proper blend of spice, zest, and tropical flavor one expects when looking for it. This restaurant is small and cash only, I can’t say how good or bad anything else is there and while I like Caribbean food, do take into account the fact that I am not an expert on it and Im not of a West Indian heritage. I always sensed this place was good and I’m glad I tried it. It is located at one of the most Caribbean intersections in the most Caribbean American neighborhood in all of Brooklyn, and if you know anything about the connection between Brooklyn and the Caribbean, you know that’s saying a lot.

I went to get jerk chicken last night, but it was finished. So I opted for some stew chicken with rice & peas and also added some oxtail gravy on the rice. That food touched my soul. Glad I found another item here that I really enjoyed. Their oxtail & escovitch fish is on point as well. Glad that they’re open on sundays, and there was no wait. Thanks Exquisite.

Living in the area, you become a bit of a jerk chicken connoisseur. The chicken here is juicy and well seasoned. When ordering a dinner, you get enough food to possibly last you a second meal; even after reheat, the chicken retained its moisture. Rice and peas are also on point(this is key!) and the Mac and cheese is also pretty good as well. Not slap your mama good, but gold enough! There’s no décor, and only 3 seats. The space is small so it always looks ridiculously crowded however the staff moves fairly quick and the food is definitely worth the wait. Drop by!

This place is nothing to scream about. Last night was my first time trying it out. Since, they claim to have the #1 world famous jerk chicken. I was not surprised that the food did not deliver anything special. I had better jerk chicken. This was not good, but not bad. It’s a takeout place. So you order and go. The staff also seemed annoyed and bothered. I ordered the jerk chicken with macaroni and cheese. The jerk chicken was bland and didn’t taste as fresh. The macaroni and cheese was overcooked. I would never eat here again. Just too boring for my taste buds.

This is a staple in BK that should be tried at least once. I always get the small rice and peas, BBQ chicken with a side of Mac with oxtail gravy and plantains. The food is always on point and cooked to perfection. I also recommend the jerk sauce but not to much if your not into hot food. It’s cash only small and packed on Friday and Saturday evenings. Whenever I’m in the area I always stop in.

It’s been years since I’ve been to this spot. I stopped by today and was happy to find it deliciously ungentrified… Even though there’s a McDonald’s across the street now. The same fire roasted juicy chicken. The same squeeze bottles full of spicy sauces to clear out your sinuses. The same melt in your mouth plantains. With all of the mom and pop West Indian places on my block now virtually gone, I’m holding on to hope that exquisite stays exactly that so I can hop on the train when I need a fix.

Small spot located by the Church Avenue 2&5 stop. It’s always crowded on Fridays so order and wait or come early. Try their mango sauce on the rice and peas or on your vegetable rice. Be careful of how much Jerk sauce you put on your food it makes it hot, and they only take cash. Other than that enjoy.

Had the small oxtail for lunch. The plantains oxtail and veggies were great. The oxtail was cooked in a stew of mildly tangy sweet spicy sauce and the veggies had just a hint of spice. The plantains balanced out the meal but there was just too much flavorless rice. If there was more oxtail sauce poured onto the rice it would have been better.

too bad I can’t rate 3.5 stars, I don’t feel they need the full four… the only thing I love here is their jerk mango sauces. There is Nothing special about their jerk chicken, after all they don’t use chalk coal like real jerk chicken is supposed to be cooked on. Lastly, their jerk fish is a very small slab of salmon, and believe me There is nothing special about it, it’s just bland. their Mac and cheese was tasty that day…

Background: Dropped in on a recent Sunday afternoon for take-out Food: Main dish — A large jerk chicken entrée with veggies, plantains, rice and beans. Chicken was tender and savory, and went well with the rice and beans. When they say large, they mean it — I could’ve easily gotten the small size and still had plenty to eat. Overall a very filling, satisfying, authentic meal. Service: Got the food relatively quickly, can’t complain. Just have your order ready when you go to the counter to avoid impatient, blank stares from the employees. Atmosphere: It’s a small, no-frills place with no seating and Jamaicans talking loudly to each other, so don’t plan on hanging around. Overall: My top two priorities are delicious food and good value — between the flavorful, authentic chicken and the huge portion for a very reasonable price, I was content. Not an area of brooklyn that I go to often, but if I’m around again I’ll definitely return. (Note: This is the second time I visited, because the first time they didn’t have jerk chicken. Um what, that’s your speciality, guys! Step it up. But the good food ultimately made up for that when I did get my hands on it.)

There’s a sign on the window that says they are the #1 Jerk spot in BK. A better sign would be «#1 jerk you can get within 20 feet of the subway when your starving and too lazy to go somewhere better.» I’ve tried the jerk chicken twice as well as their curried and stewed chicken. None of it was that great. The jerk chicken was surprisingly bland. There was clearly a lot if spice on the it, but somehow it didn’t pop. The stews were similarly nothing to write home about. And to too it all off there was no menu and the staff had the«I could care less if you’re here/your attempt to spend money in my establishment t annoys me» attitude that is weirdly pervasive in food places in this otherwise very friendly neighborhood. It’s always packed in there so I doubt they’ll go out of business, but I’ll definitely take my money, and taste buds, elsewhere

Cash only. Just two chairs available by their windows, the place is called express for a reason. Relatively cheap for the amount you get. It gets crowded, but the line to order is organized. You place your order, you get a order #, they call it and you pretty much grab&go. This gritty hole in the wall spot is right across the street from a Golden Krust, but obviously this is the real deal jerk chicken. Me and especially my boyfriend are fans of jerk chicken. So we trooped out all the way to here just for it! I only eat dark meat chicken, and exquisite only gives you dark meat pieces… You could even see all the chicken barbecuing by the window. Juicy chicken, bomb jerk seasoning, and you must add their jerk sauce with a little BBQ sauce. Sets it off! Sometimes they have other great sauces too. Their Caribbean style oxtail are just as delicious as I’ve had from other Caribbean restaurants and homes.

For food this good you want to give the coveted 5 stars, but the service is crazy(because they are so busy) and the night I went they were out of plantains!!! Seriously though, this is some incredible jerk chicken. It’s so cool to also watch the guys pull it off the grill and chop it all to hell with a butcher cleaver. The sauces are given to you before they wrap up your order, I doused my rice with the habañero and put more jerk sauce on the chicken. I ordered the large, and my god I could of eaten on it for 2 days. There are some things to expect when you go, a wait but not too long of one, and chaos inside(but very friendly chaos, and friendly people too) I’ll be back for sure. I’m glad there is such a great place in my hood, and it’s a lot of food for very little cash. Such a good place.

I’m always in search of good Caribbean food and with 4.5÷5 stars on Unilocal I couldn’t help but to check this place out. When I arrived it felt like a mad house! The restaurant was crowded but it was well organized. You place your order with the cashier and wait for your number to be called. Once called the lady will let you add any sauces to your dish. Whether it be jerk seasoning, pineapple mango, bbq or hot sauce. When you’re done adding, she will then pack it up and your order is good to go. I ended up ordering their oxtail plate($ 11 for small and $ 13 for large) that came with rice and beans and a side of cabbage. The dish was good, I hate to say that I had better before. The seasoning was good but it just didn’t hit the spot for me and I also didn’t know how much sodium was added to the oxtail. I also ordered their jerk chicken and although it was good, it didn’t taste like it had enough jerk flavoring. I do like the fact that the chicken was grilled and how juicy the meat was but somehow it lacked that punch that I was looking for. If I was around this area and someone suggested to eat here, I would say, «sure why not». However if you ask me would I want to travel back here, the answer is probably not.

I just moved into the neighborhood and have been settling in nicely. At my gym, there’s an ongoing debate as to who serves the best jerk chicken. There’s one hold out who likes a place out on Utica Ave best(haven’t gotten the name out of him just yet), and then the rest like Exquisite Delight. Given how close it is to me, and the fact that I love jerk chicken but haven’t found a top tier place nearby yet – despite the fact that there are like 40 with 10 blocks of my house – I went to check it out. Walking in, this is your prototypical jerk chicken joint. Minimal seating. Open kitchen. An old ass menu. An unclear system for ordering due to people waiting all around for their food and some just standing around. It’s also cash only so make sure you have some before ordering. I got a small jerk chicken and small is really a relative term. It’s the small in that there’s a large size option that’s absolutely fucking massive. I got it with rice and peas, veggies and plantains. When they put it all together for you, they set it on the counter so you can add the sauces yourself. The sauces were BBQ, jerk, hot sauce, and ketchup I believe. I added a generous amount of jerk and a small amount of hot sauce to the rice. After getting home, I devoured the whole fucking thing. The chicken was great quality meat, with perfectly crisp skin on the outside. The jerk sauce had the right amount of spice to complement the bird with overwhelming it. The rice and peas and veggies were both good, with the fiery hot sauce not just contributing heat but all some depth of flavor. In addition, the plantains were perfectly caramelized and well suited as a dessert. I skipped dinner after this and was absolutely fine the next day. This is serious chicken my friends. If you don’t love this place, you’re crazy.

It had been well over a decade since I was last in this area of Brooklyn near Brooklyn College. I remembered the area mostly being smaller shops with some chain restaurants. This still holds true for the most part(though now there’s Target and Starbucks). When time came for lunch, I knew I didn’t want McDonalds or something I could get anywhere. I wanted something local. After using the handy dandy Unilocal app, «Exquisite Delight» popped up as a choice place to eat in the area. As soon as I saw the storefront, I knew this was going to be the culinary experience I had hoped for. Was it fancy? Absolutely not. The storefront has seen better days and the interior has a worn, but well kept appearance. You see, this place doesn’t focus on having a fancy interior. Instead it focuses on having amazing food. Here’s what I tried: BAKEDCHICKEN A simple, seasoned, baked chicken — yet absolutely delicious. It was seasoned very well, but not overly salty. The meat was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy with no pink showing. CHICKENSTEW I was surprised that a chicken stew had moist chicken. That sounds contradictory, but generally when chicken sits in liquids long enough it takes on a particular texture I’m not too fond of. No such worries here. The chicken also had a wonderful kick to it that the hot sauce lover in me really enjoyed. JERKCHICKEN I had this to go and reheated it later for dinner and it was some of the best jerk chicken I’ve ever had. Sometimes jerk chicken can suffer from an imbalance of seasonings or simply be overwhelming. No such worries here, and even after a reheating the meat was still nice and tender. LOMEIN The stir fry of egg noodles and vegetables was simple, yet tasty. When you order a side like this, they offer to put a sauce on top(I just used the sauce from my chicken stew). And can we talk about price? Because it was insane. Not that this is an expensive area, but for less than what a midtown Manhattan lunch costs you can stuff yourself silly and literally still be full hours later. The portions were more than generous and I was very happy with how much food was given. The staff was really cool and friendly. They took their time with each customer, making sure you got what you wanted as you ordered and they didn’t skimp on well, anything(meat, sauce, sides etc.). I’d go back to Exquisite Delight any day for lunch or dinner. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

Best jerk chicken in Brooklyn hands down. I remember when I was a kid and my mom and dad would leave the 90’s and come all the way to exquisite to get jerk chicken on the weekends. Years later I live around the corner from them… my friends only come visit me so they could go there. I have had their breakfast… lunch and dinner… and have yet to eat something from them that I dislike. I live for their fry bake… escovitch fish… oxtail…macaroni pie and jerk chicken. If your coming here on the weekends the wait is long but it is definitely worth it.
