I don’t know if they’re the best empanadas or the freshest ingredients, and I don’t really care. It’s an empanada – hot, delicious and full of well-​spiced meat. No idea what her name is, but the woman who runs it is a sweetheart.

Damn this lady makes a mean empanada! I am still shocked at how good and cheap it is. $ 1.50 for an empanada! The chicken was flavorful and nicely seasoned. And don’t even get me started on the dough part of the empanada… so FREAKING GOOD! Soo chewy and flaky. This lady must have been touched by the empanada Gods. I almost went back to get another after I finished mine.

Every time I see the Empanada Lady is there when I get off the train I get excited. They aren’t that healthy but man are they delicious. The chicken and cheese ones are both excellent. Plus the price can’t be beat.

Oh man, this lady is the best. Her empanadas are wicked cheap and she is a total sweetheart to boot. The best thing about her is that she’s right outside Mr. Kiwi’s. I can order my empanadas, buy a coconut water (for the same price, outrageous!) and pick them up on the way out. She has my complete, unreserved endorsement.

I live in the neighborhood and one of my favorite things is to eat this woman’s empanadas. They cost $ 1.25 per empanada and they are delicious! You could have a full meal of these empanadas for under 4 bucks. She is out there most days folding and frying them and she offers cheese, chicken, or beef. Her cart is right out front of Mr. Kiwi’s so look for her when you are in that area. Highly reccomended
