I usually read reviews before trying new places but this was a different case… I happen to see a lady with the neatest braids on the train and she referred me to this place in east New York Brooklyn :/… At first I was hesitant so I made me friend come with me. My appointment was for 4pm with Stacie when I arrived she was still working on someone but she ensured me she’ll be right with me. I was in the chair at 4:11. I don’t play when I comes to my time. By the way the place is really cute nice and girly. I brought my girls there the following weekend and they loved it. But back to the hairstyle i received. I only asked for straight cornrows to the back but she insisted that I let her add a little something so it will fit my face better. Scared but I agreed ! And I was glad she asked because everybody keeps stopping me in the streets giving me compliments.

Most unprofessional place I have ever been to. This salon is a prime example of why so many black women are now boycotting hair salons. Appointments are a joke. If you go to this salon, be prepared to be there from morning until night. They will wash your hair then have you sitting around the salon for hours. Maybe you’ll be lucky and another client will play«assistant» for the day. The owner talks about everyone including her own friends(who are in and out the door). Be sure while she smiles in your face, she will be talking about you too once you pay and head out the door.

Kim E. is not a setup account. I have had my hair done by the owner multiple times and I have know her since high school. So GETOVERYOURSELF. I’ve always have been in support of those(whether known or unknown) black business. And if I didn’t have anything nice to say and was not satisfied with the service I was given, as a woman I would speak to the owner aside instead of running to the computer. Your opinion of the service you received is yours and this is mine. Do Not Discredit My Opinion or My Thoughts. Thanks _An Elegance of Amor Happy Client aka Ms. Eubanks!!!

Very unprofessional… The owner secretly joked about paying clients. Her friends and family endlessly came by just to hangout. The sad part is that the stylist were actually talented but as a 1st time customer and person who likes to avoid places like ENY, it saddened me to hear the owner whisper about clients who were doing no wrong and gossip about her friends who want to fist fight each other. You would think as a business woman she would make her salon a place where people will feel comfortable and want to return but instead she seems to let her insecurities get the best of her by talking about the clients in the salon. The salon is also very small so her friends loitering only crammed the place more. I was rooting for this salon because of its location but sadly, I won’t return or recommend this place because I’d rather not have any1 I know pay money to an owner who is rude enough to make fun of them when she thinks they are not paying attention. Never in my life have a witnessed such a poor owner!.. Edit: please be aware of dummy accounts. The salon has been open for a while and no1 has ever left a review until I left my review. The Kim E account has been made after my review and this is the only business that she has left a review for. I suspect that the owner and/or her family made the account simply to refute my review.
