Great pedicures. Cash only. Pretty standard hood nail spot.

While their prices are cheap, and they will scrub your feet like they are trying to remove demons from them, the salon is far from DIVA and even farther away from a SPA From the outside the place looks pretty awesome, and even so from the manicure stations at the front of the salon. But once you make your way to the the nail polish selection, you will quickly see a a skimpy selection, some cheapish polishes, and some crusty looking essie polishes. From the polish rack you will be told to sit in the pedicure chair. This chair was so worn out you could see the under fibers that the fabric was attached to, but that didnt make me run away, So I get into the chair and I am offered the green tea treatment(the best part). It was 22 dollars, which seemed like some made up price but no big deal. As Im sitting in the chair and waiting for the«nail tech» to come over I decided to turn on the back massager feature of the chair. LORD. Lets start with the fact that the remote control is nailed to some wooden ledge(I assume its for your belongings.) When I turned on the chair, the machinery inside started to grind and make loud noises, clearly it was broken. So I turned it off and just enjoyed my Green Tea treatment. As Im sitting there I noticed these mats all over the floor next to each pedicure chair that looked like they were covered in mold. My eyes went from the mats to the plastic flower decals and dirty walls. So I get my «nail tech» that just grabs my feet without a word besides«This color?» and starts my feet. Overall it was fine, again they will exorcise any foot demons you have with a pumice stone, brush, wrap them in plastic, slap two discolored towels that are hotter than satans upper lip around each raw foot and steam the fuck out of your feet. After the dirty looking towels are taken off, the«nail tech» starts stabbing you with some tools from her cart, oh and the cart is covered with rust/and paint like they had tried to cover it. When she finally starts painting my nails I’m relieved that its nearly done and i’m praying that she pulled the tools out of the sanitizing machine before placing them in her cart. So once Im done, I put my shoes on and head home, This is where I decided to write a review, the«nail tech» upon closer inspection had missed the corners of my nails with paint, so I had gaps of polish leaving visible bare nail on a couple of my toes. Pros: If you’re looking for a cheap mani/pedi cool go here just triple check your nails before you get out of the chair thorough scrubbing of feet Green Tea Treatment Cons: DIRTY. Unsanitary looking tools. They just put flip flops in a bin and reuse them without changing them out, Yeah you just got your feet scrubbed, but the lady next to me had some fungus so bring your own flips. No massage of legs or feet really. Under experienced nail techs: Uneven nail color I could have done the job myself, stabbed me a few times not even a «sorry.» or «you okay?» So if you want CHEAP, regular polish is fine, but you have to make sure they paint it all the way on the nail and don’t try to rush what you’re paying for. Oh and the plants died along time ago along with the pedicure chairs and cleanliness. Those pictures are inaccurate.

One of the guys there hooked me up. I went to a nail salon around the corner from diva and she messed my nails up. They were crooked and The shape was horrible! So I went to diva and my nails are layed. He was so nice and took his time and helped me pick out colors. The ambiance is warm and calm with great music. It drys perfectly and doesn’t take forever please go here. You won’t regret it. Great prices too.

The pedicures and regular manicures here are great. The pedicures are one of the best(of the hood spots) that I’ve had. Acrylic sets and gel nails leave a bit to be desired(not always even). If you are looking for a pedi/mani I would recommend it. Very busy on saturday afternoons. Cash Only, not open on Sundays.

I’ve been a frequent patronizer for over six years, however, due to a change of location and a hectic schedule I stopped going. Although I found places that did equally as awesome art work on my nails, no one takes care of my feet like Diva. The Diva special is like no other pedicure Spa. It’s extremely affordable and they use top quality products. All of the technicians are experienced, and take pride in working on your toes and the heels of your feet. While every part of your foot is cleaned and cared for, you relax in a quiet, clean, and serene setting while receiving star treatment. Top quality nail polish is used, and the technicians ensure that you are satisfied before placing the top coat on your nail and/or toes. The technicians are friendly, and the owner is super professional, and runs his establish as such. All of the extras(paraffin wax, extra massage time, callus remover, etc) are affordable and well worth it. It’s always a lovely time at Diva! I surely miss it and will definitely make it my business to fit my visits into my schedule. Gotta get my feet ready for the summer.

Unilocalers, This Nail salon is the last place I would go to get a mani/pedi. The customer service was terrible. They charge way too much($ 23 for pedi, $ 35 for mani&pedi) Their salon was not clean, the towels used on my feet looked like dirty rags, the polish she used was noticeably old and they didn’t massage my legs or feet at all. The two stars are for the woman that was working on my aunt’s nails, she was very personable and nice. The woman that was working on my nails was very rude and gave me an attitude when I asked for rounded tips rather than squared. I was very disappointed because after reading all the other Unilocal reviews I was under the impression that I would like this place. I will not be going back.

I t was not one nail that broke after a week but 3 nails … After posting that negative review i went to another nail salon on broadway around the corner(actually good) and we actually peeled off the rest of the nails like it was the stick on nails from the beauty salon! Lol…

If you don’t come early you will have to wait at least an hour to get a pedicure. Today was my first day here and I loved it! The pedicures are $ 15, and its well worth the price. I loved my pedicure. I got a French gel manicure as well and it was $ 29. Mr Jin(the owner) did a fabulous job on my nails. The place was very clean but their nail polish selection is not very spectacular, I suggest you bring your own nail polish. Everyone was very friendly and I will definitely go back.

3.5 Stars. Went in yesterday afternoon for my first NYC mani/pedi. For $ 26 including tip, I was pleased, but my experience could have been a little better. Here’s the scoop: Pedi was pretty great. She really scrubbed my feet to a smooth pulp & they haven’t felt so moisturized in awhile. I also liked how she wrapped my feet in saran wrap w. hot towels. only wish it lasted more than a minute and a half. I wasn’t crazy about the polish selections either. there were no OPI or Essie polishes. I opted for the Elizabeth Arden brand beacause all the others looked pretty cheap; we will see if it’s any good in a few days I guess! One thing I really didn’t like is the lotion she used during my mani. Every nail salon I’ve been to uses some sort of fragrant lotion that smells delicious all day long. But, sadly Diva used Aloe Vera Lotion which I didn’t like the smell of at all.
Overall, I had a pretty good experience, but I will probably try else next time. Back home in MA, a mani/pedi would cost minimum $ 36 – 40 w. tip. So I’m totally down for a cheap mani/pedi even if it lacks some of the frills.

This place is great! Let me put it in context, I hate writing reviews and avoided signing up for Unilocal for years but I decided to give in today because they really deserve it. This is a no frills place, not your fancy nail salons in manhattan. It’s clean and well maintained and the nail techs do an incredibly thorough job and don’t rush you. There’s a wait if u go in the morning on sat but for the quality of the work it’s totally worth it. I knocked off 1 star because their nail color options are fewer than I’m used to but they use good brands here.

before i go to this place, i’d like to call and know the prices first before going all the way over there. does anyone know the number that they have now because the one that is posted is out of service. does this mean they’ve gone out of business?

This place is tops! A pedicure feels like a full body spa treatment at this place. Arrive early or face a lengthy wait but if you have time to spare, the wait is worth it.

Finally! A salon that does not make you feel unwelcome and rushed! I completely love the fact that the ladies take their time when doing the pedicure. They were thorough and did not take any short cuts. Mr. Jin, the owner, did my manicure and he was very good too! When I left, ran errands and got home later on that day, my feet were still moisturized. This leads me to believe that the lady did a great job because other times at other salons my feet felt very, very dry after a pedicure. The place is clean and professional. I am glad that my roommate and I went early in the day because it got a little busy closer to the afternoon. I recommend getting there nice and early, especially now that the warmer season is around the corner. One important tidbit, CASH only. I brought my bank card and I was informed that they do not accept anything but cash. So ladies, if you’re looking for a reasonably priced, clean and thorough mani and pedi, then this is your place to go to.
