Diamond Krust Grill

I used to love going to Diamond Krust for the macaroni pie. It’s so damn good. As of our last meal from there, the oxtail-​rice an peas, and goat. My wife, my mother-​in-​law and myself had massive food poisoning from there. I totally forgot how bad food poisoning is. DO NOT buy food there late evenings. I assume food was left out for hours then served to us. I threw up so much my stomach and head were hurting. I had to decide which to do first, vomit or sit on di toilet. My wife woke up from her sleep running to di bathroom to throw up, she didn’t make it, smh. The only person in di house who didn’t get sick was my 3 year old because he didn’t want the food. He must have known something lol. Nah he’s jus a picky eater. Be careful ordering there late evenings. I have a feeling the food jus went sour. I will not go back at any time of day, though. I had to stay home from work or I’d be in trouble on di train.

Food is great here at really reasonable prices but the customer service needs major improvement. This restaurant is take out only but staff is extremely slow and ppl at the counter are often on their cellphones having personal conversations or just have attitudes to begin with …

Amazing food, but the service is really slow. The staff is also not polite and can be really rude at times. If you do come here, be alert when it’s your turn in line, as it is really hard to actually determine your turn because regulars pack inside and carry on conversations with the servers behind the counter. Speak up when ordering your food because most of the time you won’t get eye contact with the person that’s actually preparing your order.

Tiny tiny spot with a huge grill outside of it. If you stand by the counter, you can see all the chefs chopping fresh veggies for the food. I got a small jerk chicken with rice and peas. The chicken was super juicy and falling off the bone. The rice was nice, though I like red kidney beans in my rice and they used something else. I’ll definitely go back. It’s not a place to really sit and eat in, though.

I must say this place by far has the BEST shrimp Rasta Pasta and Jerk chicken and for a reasonable price. Now here is where the complaint comes in… The service is HELLA SLOW to the point the line extends out the door. Also the staff is not welcoming or polite at all. You would think after taking my money I could get a thank you for your business or come again have a good day. NOPE NOTHING. But after waiting so long to place an order just PRAY they didn’t run out of food. To the owner GET YOUR STAFF IN ORDER and I suggest less chit chat in the kitchen and more cooking. And serving a bigger pans of Rasta Pasta and Jerk Chicken that way you wouldn’t continuously run out. THANK YOU.
