The regular cheesesteak is extremely delicious but the buffalo is SO spicy as to be inedible. And I really like spicy food. Beware the buffalo.

When I work in the greenpoint area I always have to stop here. The cheesesteaks are amazing the best I had in New York. The food here is made to order and so sometimes there is a little bit of a wait but the people working are super friendly. They also have a picture of cute pit bull named Samson ^__^ If you are in the area I recommend stopping by and getting the cheesesteak with a milkshake you definitely will not regret it.

If this is what Delilah’s passes off as grizzled beef, then I’m not sure they can be trusted in any other matters of the heart. –Gabi

Worst Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had. Dry flavorless meat, totally overcooked. Not much more to say. Ruined my day off

Loved it!!! On vaca in NY and found this place on Unilocal since my kids and hubby love cheesesteaks. To find a place that my kids love is hard. Perfect amount of meat, cheese, onions. The bread is super fresh. The price is very reasonable for the size. The delivery was super fast too.

So so good! My boyfriend and I ordered from these dudes last night and both of our sandwiches were amazing! I got the Cheesesteak hoagie with chicken instead of steak and he got the Samson and they were both to die for. We also got a small order of pizza fries that were beyond delicious! Deliver was super fast and the guy who I placed the order with was beyond nice!

This place is a solid four stars. Good food, friendly service, reasonably priced… etc. They keep the experience simple and uncomplicated like it should be. Come in, grab your grub, hangout or peace out, the choice is yours. Honestly, this is my first cheesesteak I’ve had in Brooklyn and they have definitely hit the mark. There are some decent places in Manhattan too. I lived in Philly for 6 years so… I’ve also come to the conclusion that you just can’t get a real Philly cheesesteak unless you’re in Philly… that’s part of the experience but… hats off for being second best!!! Keep up the good work. Will definitely visit again. Wondering what this place is like in the summertime. Thanks!!!

Best Cheesesteak in New York. I grew up in Philly, and this is the most legit steak I’ve had in New York. They nail all the details that make a good steak: great fresh rolls, just the right amount of meat, and a healthy amount of cheese. They also have Roast Pork & Broccoli Rabe, Tastykakes, and great sides(try the Pizza Fries). The guys who run this place are incredibly nice, and it’s a fun environment. This place is a gem. Everything you want out of a Cheesesteak and more.

Food is great. They literally drench the food in the liquid cheese, which tasted awesome. Customer service was way and beyond — he knows why. The guy is an absolute sweetheart. They have a loyalty card also: buy five sandwiches, get a free side; buy ten sandwiches, get a free sando. That’s pretty great. Will be back here very soon.

Great cheesesteaks. Dare I say they are the best in NYC! I had a bad Philly cheesesteak yesterday from a Philly Institution in Atlantic city. It was not good. I needed to fill my craving for a good cheesesteak and this was so much better! I had a cheesesteak with wiz and onions. It was very good. The bread had a great texture and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. My wife had a chicken cheesesteak with wiz. It was very good but a little heavy with pepper. Still probably the best chicken cheesesteak she has had. i

Not to shabby pretty good Cheese steak for Williamsburg love the cheese fries let’s face it there are some astonishing places to obtain a cheesesteak as a New Yorker born and raised I hate to say it but Philadelphia just has that craft that hand. taste that flavor that New York could never get just saying but we got everything else

I can officially say they lost their touch. When they first opened I was absolutely in love with their philly cheese steak sandwich so much I would travel all the way from Bensonhurst. Now they are terrible. Disgusting. As u can see from the pic that’s all I could tolerate the rest went into the garbage. FYI I noticed different workers maybe that’s why. Who knows I gave them two chances because I thought the first terrible Philly cheesesteak was just a bad day but twice ?? I won’t be returning. EVER.

Craving a bit of cheesesteak and not wanting to go into the city, we opted for Delilah’s. We spend a lot of time in Williamsburg so this place has always been on the list of things to try. The day we came, it was empty. Virtually nobody was in the place except for the staff, which was fine by us. It was late on a midweek evening, so we didn’t expect many people. We ordered a cheesesteak with mushrooms and an order of onion rings. The guys behind the counter were very nice and quick with the order. The cheesesteak was big enough to be shared and the onion rings were plentiful. The bread in the sandwich wasn’t too great. Maybe it was late in the day, but the bread tasted stale. They definitely made up for this by loading the sandwich with meat and wiz, lots of meat, we were barely able to finish the sandwich. Then the onion rings were crispy and tasty, we didn’t finish that at all and ended up taking most of it home. Worth a visit if you’re in the area, for sure. If you want to have a better sandwich, you might want to venture into the city.

Very mediocre cheesesteak. Both chicken and beef come out dry and even the cheese doesn’t seem to help moisten things up. The hot peppers overpower all other ingredients with a bland vinegar flavor. Also worst wings I have ever had. Sloppy, grizzly, fat covered stubs.

This was honestly a pleasant surprise and genuine shock. Upon hearing from Steph P. during one of our g-chat sessions at work that in honor of National Cheesesteak day, Delilah’s was giving everyone away free treats! I glanced at the advertisement and scowled and said, «Yeah, this may as well be in Queens. It’s in frigging Greenpoint!» Though, after a strenuous weekend workout and being bored and with nothing to do I figured, eh.. .. 45 minutes out of my way for a sandwich? Why the heck not! SOWORTHIT. There’s a sign outside boasting«Best Cheesesteak in NYC». They are not kidding. The restaurant in itself is a little out of the way. You walk down a few winding streets from the G train stop, walk along the expressway, pass over a line of cars for the carwash and boom: a beautiful bright pink and jet black sign greets you at Delilah’s. It reminds me of a caravan diner. The walls are decked out with tiles and mirrors in artful patterns. Immediately upon entering even with there being a fairly large crowd the guys up at the register asked for my order and if I’d like provolone or wiz and onions with that. I asked for both the wiz and the onions because I felt that was the more traditional Philly route and prayed that when my sandwich order was up that they’d get my name right since I tend to garble when I talk. The wait was relatively short, 15 minutes or so for a free freaking sandwich. There were options of beer that was pretty insanely cheap: $ 2 – 6 varying on size. Though, I passed. Side items were also available of French fries and onion rings. Milkshakes, soda pops, and a variety of other sandwiches vying for competition: roast pork and broccoli rabe, chicken steak with pepperoni. My mouth was watering at this point. The side tables have an array of condiments from sweet and spicy peppers to everyone’s favorite sriracha sauce and ketchup. I took my sandwich to go as my name was called out pretty impressively loud and scuttled home. The sandwich reheated was still amazing. The absolute best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The meat tasted fresh and was slivered so thin. The cheese wiz wasn’t overwhelming but soaked into everything so well. The onions were delicately caramelized and the bread was firm but still soft and held the mammoth of meat and cheese together to the very end. Needless to say, this thing is huge and served me two dinners. The only thing about Delilah’s I wish that would change is that it were closer to where I lived.

Went to Torst for a beer event and my brother found this spot. This place is great. We were greeted with great service and free beers while we wait for our food. The sandwiches? Amazing. Great cheesesteak. But what was the star of the day was the Samson. This sandwich was amazing. Chicken, steak, and taylor ham! Ugh so good!!!

Found this place randomly when I was desperately looking for food before the Superbowl game and was pleasantly surprised. The cheesesteaks are very good. Frankly they’re better than what you usually get in Philly. I say this not because I’m down on Philadelphia, admittedly I am, but because Delilah’s uses higher quality meat, cheese, bread than what you normally get in a Philly cheese steak. At $ 10 bucks a sandwich that’s worth the few extra bucks in my opinion. I tried the cheese steak with whiz and with provolone. Even though the provolone is deliciously stinky, the cheese whiz is better choice. The roast pork is also delicious. The broccoli rabe is so good that I want a broccoli rabe sandwich with roast pork as garnish. Also critical to the Delilah experience are the amazing condiment bar. From ketchup, siricha, to the spicy, mild and sweet pickled peppers, you have a plethora of choices to complement your sandwich. They also have water on tap and beers if you want.

This spot was bookmarked on my Unilocal forever and I was finally in the area and decided to check it out. It’s a cute lil spot to dine in and/or take out. I ordered my sandwich to go. I had the regular cheese steak with whiz and it was just okay. The sandwich was a bit on the small size in terms of meat. Unfortunately I realized I don’t like whiz so that taste didn’t sit well with me and the rest of the sandwich. With all the high ratings on Unilocal I was expecting a heartier and more tastier sandwich and mine was just OK. The bread was soft which I enjoyed but I’ve had much better cheese steaks in Philly and just other local spots in NYC, The staff were cool and they had some cool looking cash registers. I am willing to try another sandwich without the whiz to see if I missed out on the real hype of these sandwiches.
