FLUSHING, NY
After trying a few chicken and rice carts in the hood, I nailed down the one on Court/​Joralemon as my favorite.
Note 1: He uses basmati rice with cardamom!
Note 2: His sauce is tangier than most, and it bodes really well for the salad.
Note 3: His portions are larger than the guys in front of Court/​Montague.
Note 4: He was super friendly and cordial.
The above was enough to make me return a second time, several weeks later (today):
Note 5: He recognized me! He waved as I stood in line and I actually turned around to see who he was waving at (it was me)! We chat and I feel charmed.
Note 6: He gives me extra food as goodwill.
I will go nowhere else for my lunchtime chicken and rice.
