Awesome beauty supply store! Staff are always very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of LA Girl and NYX items which I primarily come here for. They don’t have the latest NYX items, but they do update often.
They also have a good amount of hair products. I get the Wella color and developer from there which are $ 5 each and last me a looong time, definitely cheaper and better than buying box dye for $ 12 every month.

I’m literally in this place once a week. Love the stuff in there although you do have to be a little careful with what you pick out. Some products *may* be expired or defective. So just keep a look out. But usually most of them are good. The only reason I am not giving them 4 – 5 stars is because the workers in there have awful attitudes at times. Not towards me necessarily, I’ve never had a problem and they’re usually helpful when I need assistance. But there have been many instances when I’ve been in there and there’s a person that can’t speak English well or an elderly person that needs help and the workers catch such attitude it’s ridiculous. They talk to them like they’re idiots. Here’s a tip for them: be patient and understanding with your customers. You can’t be in the retail business and not expect to have to repeat yourself more than once. I was literally so appalled at their behavior while I was in there today. 5+ years of shopping here and I can’t believe I didn’t write this review sooner. Get the stick out of your ass guys. Also, stop following people around as if they’re stealing. Maybe do it a little more nonchalantly.

Awesome place! Great selection of NYX Cosmetics and nearly the full line too! They also have LA Girl which I only discovered here but am in love with! The staff is super nice and helpful! Definitely coming back here again!

I love the fact that they sell NYX Cosmetics and LA Girl. I had heard great reviews about LA Girl and now I am able to purchase their products without having to order online.

It’s called s&j cosmetics, very nice staff & helpful! Came here looking for loreal true blue bleach, and developer, there stuff is so inexpensive I got some neutragena cleansing wipes for 4 $!!!, definitely coming back for all my beauty needs!

I have been coming to this store for years. Even after I moved to Long Island, I still make sure I stop by whenever I’m back on the area. I was concerned when the store closed a few years ago after a fire next door, but lucky for me, it’s open and back in business!
This store carries some cosmetic items that are hard to find elsewhere. Their selection is pretty good, the prices are fair, and the staff is helpful. For example, my grandma will only use a specific hand cream made by Dove, not available elsewhere and costs $ 22 online via
. This store not only carries this cream, they sell it for only $ 5.99.
Definitely check out their NYX cosmetics (selection is pretty good), and their nail polishes as well.

I love the fact they sell nyx, which i’m not allergic to !!! There are so many colors to select from.
However, they don’t have natural lines such as burt bees and kiss, i would go more often if they did as I don’t need that much eyeshadow or blush. For now I have to go to manhattan and stock up there for daily bath products.

I love my cheap Brooklyn cosmetic stores. I come here usually to pick up my usual NYX and Essie items. The owners and employees hang out and chitchat but that’s fine by me when I’m taking my time looking at 20 different shades of brown eyeshadow.

Visited the store recently, and noticed they’ve increased the price of Essie to $ 3.99. Still an AMAZING freakin’ steal, but just FYI. Also, I noticed they don’t keep a consistent stock of colors. They seem to run down their inventory by a lot before resupplying, so check often!

The store name is really S&J cosmetics, but I didn’t feel like creating a page. I went in here after I saw the NYX sign and I can’t believe I found a place nearby me that sells NYX products! That’s basically what I come in here for from time to time. They have a whole section dedicated to NYX which includes their eyeshadows, jumbo eye pencils, mascara, liquid eyeliners, lip liners, lipsticks, blushes, bronzers, and eyelashes. They also allow you to test out the cream blushes, powder blushes, a bunch of different lipsticks, and their stick bronzers/​illuminators, which is a big plus!
Other things they sell are cleaning products, hair dyes, perfume, nail polishes, face creams, sun tan lotion, and hair accessories. They carry brands like L’oreal, Got2b, Stila, Revlon, Maybelline, Covergirl, Lancome, DUO eyelash adhesive, Clairol, Jordana, Garnier, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Tresseme, etc. However, the only downside is that I don’t know if all their products are «real.» I have yet to buy any OPI or Essie from them because I haven’t had the time to inspect if they are real or not.

Bottom line: The store is great if you’re looking to buy NYX at an even cheaper price than they already are and for discounted prices on other items. However, be careful of what you buy because there might be some fakes sold here (my overly-​cautious mind tells me).
