Cope Brothers laundry was my first laundromat after moving to a new location in Bed Stuy almost 2 years ago now. At first they seemed dependable but like the majority of other Unilocalers reported they were not reliable, the would close at weird times during the day, they were closed for a month straight due to vacation and it was almost impossible to see a pattern to their schedule to get your clothes back. If you wash there yourself it’s fine but doing drop off its a whole other ball game. So I gave up and moved on to a new place. After about 6 months of not going there, I started seeing signs of «new management» and I figured I’d give them a try. The process was the same, my name was still in the system and I was told my clothes would be ready in 2 days, cool. Later that day I got a text alert saying my drop off had be received which surprised me– yep now they have text alerts. Then as promised 2 days later I received another alert stating my order was ready for pick up. Pick up was smooth and easy. They take cash or card. The new attendants are friendly and younger. The place is clean, its coin operated and they have a change machine on the premises. If you were an old customer like me and wasn’t satisfied with the service before but the location is convenient… give them a try now. 4 stars for the new management being timely and slight modernization to communication.

The BEST thing to happen to this place was to have new management take over! HALLELUJAH!!! This laundromat has always been clean and well kept. However, over time the hours of operative became less and less reliable. it would be closed on random days and/or open HOURS later in the day. I was BEYONDFRUSTRATED when it was closed for almost a month over the summer for«vacation». REALLY!!! It is one of the few laundromats in the immediate area so when it was closed you were screwed! The staff is professional, friendly and always willing to accommodate your needs. The hours of operation are VERY reliable now. If you have been here previously and had a negative experience I sincerely urge you to give this laundromat another try. It is obvious they know and understand the true meaning of quality customer service.

The new management is doing a fantastic job. My drop off is usually done early now. They send text notifications. The place isn’t closed on random days anymore. Super happy. Keep it up!

I live a half block away and was verbally harrassed by an employee mopping outside as I walked home, while already being shouted at by another group of hostile men. Should not have to fear sexual harrassment from laundromat employees while the owner is visible inside. Clearly they need to check their hiring practices or hold their employees to. higher standards. Will trek the extra two blocks to avoid this shabbily staffed establishment.

Small, but clean spot to do your laundry in the neighborhood. The men who run the place are nice, and keep the place clean by not allowing food which is good. The drop off service is terrible. I have done it a few times, and each time the clothes weren’t ready until days after they told me they would be. Also, don’t listen to the lady complaining about the«ghetto folks.» «Ghetto» is just code for black and brown folks. This is Bed Stuy lady! Who do you think lives here? The people doing laundry here are nice and just like any other laundromat, sometimes parents bring their kids to wash clothes. If you wash your clothes here but never do the drop off service, you’re good.

Ok apparently after reading reviews, I won’t drop off laundry here. I have been here twice, and they are friendlier here than the Haitian owned one Howard Ave. The facility is clean, and so far the machines work and you don’t have to slam the doors or punch them to open them. And so far, quarters haven’t been taken from the machines. Best part is that I can go to the pizza place across the street and eat while my laundry is getting washed.

This place is fine to do your own laundry and not much else. I’ve heard various stories of incompetency about their drop-off service from neighbors which are reflected in one or two of the reviews so I’d steer clear of doing that. I like the guys who work there and I think they keep the place clean and in order. Prices are also pretty standard.

The place is small. I think only the owner Mr Cope is doing most of all the work. It’s the only laundry place around this area and near my place so yea suxkballs. Avoid the weekends. It’s crowded. And there’s a lot of rude ghetto ppl. And kids running around the place. I wish someone would open a bigger and more modern laundry place around this area.

I run a business in this community. I believe in keeping relationships within the community. Thus, upon opening down the block(I have a salon not too far from this business), I gave Cope Brothers my business. I have been dropping our laundry towels and satin robes here since opening in Sept 2014. I give them about $ 80 worth of business weekly. About 2 months ago as usual we dropped off our laundry. We were told to pick in up as usual in 2 days. Upon returning to pick up our laundry we were informed that someone stole our laundry. The owner, Mr. Cope, explained to me that he was hoping someone would return it. After two weeks no one returned the items. Mr. Cope explained that he was sorry and that he was going to reimburse us. I brought in the receipt for the items. $ 4oo total. The majority of the batch were unfortunately our fairly brand new robes. We discussed that the items had been used at this point and that we would expect to see a depreciation of the items. I was fine with that. Upon constantly visiting the laundromat to find out where they were on paying the invoice, I was told that the employee which had since then quit was only willing to give $ 120 for the lost items. I asked if we can agree on $ 200. After 2 months of conversation and they proposed $ 120. He was not willing to put in the additional $ 80??? I can’t believe a business is run like this… I cant imagine. He asked me to sign a release.

An Okay place. NOT9−5÷6 friendly at all(if you work in Manhattan). I always have to rush home to barely make it. Door locked by 8, waiting for customers to leave(employees have to go lock & unlock the door for every customer, which I find totally unnecessary). Small size. Always on top of somebody. Appliances seem out of date. Always some out of order. Pluses: Large TV’s are always on. ATM inside. As well as drop off service. Assortment of soaps and products available for purchase. Right next to Ho May chinese, chicken/pizza joint, and a corner deli for picking up dinner on the way home.

Just left there, nice place good staff. But my laundry bill was $ 36.95 originally, and upon paying, I was charged $ 10 extra dollars, a call would have been nice stating that my bill changed. And this isn’t my first time there. Needs to be a little bit organized. If I’m dropping my stuff off, obviously I don’t have much time. Courtesy goes a long was.

I’ve been here 3 times. Prices are standard. It seems small, but you can usually get a machine or three. The people that work here are super nice! Will keep coming back!
