Worst muffins I’ve ever had in my entire life. Blueberry was the consistency of a dish sponge and tasteless while the corn muffin was also tasteless and dry as a bone. Furthermore, I asked for nitro coffee and without advising me that they were out of nitro, server just gave me regular iced coffee. Overall I’d rather go hungry than eat breakfast from here ever ever ever again. Nine thumbs down!

This place is fantastic. The only place where they can make my mocha properly done. The Banana bread and the egg and cheese bagel is awesome very tasty. Staff is also super friendly

My first impression was this place is very welcoming! It has benches outside and seating inside. The staff was very helpful and patient as I decide what I wanted. I end up getting a café Au lait & a lemon poppy seed muffin. The muffin has great texture and taste and best café Au lait I have had. I am definitely coming back!

This place is hit or miss, but it’s been a neighborhood staple for years so I still give them my business. The coffee is okay, and depending on who makes it makes a difference as well. I find that they are more pricey than Starbucks so I limit my visits here and I also have a few key items I always get. Do yourself a favor and don’t get the croissants they are dry as hell, every single time. Also the lemonade isn’t very good. What’s good to get here is the lemon poppy seed muffin, the chili, and chicken noodle soup.

Your average bakery. Nothing out of the world in terms of coffee or pastries. Bagels are ok. Pricing is a bit much. Very small and cramped. Often crowded, and depending on when you most likely will not get to sit inside. The one thing that sticks with me after leaving is the crazy, hectic process that was ordering, and then paying. Definitely not a bakery you can work in. A lot of PS321 kids and parents rolling in(not bad, just adds to the craziness)…

We ate here in Oct. 2013. The paninis were huge and tasted fabulous. Brownies and lattes were great too! Would definitely recommend.

Get the hazelnut coffee– better than Starbucks– swipe your free loyalty belly card to get free coffee– line is not as long as the other guy across street and open early

Everytime I’m in Parkslope. I got to go to Connecticut Muffin for a ice coffee and a ginger cookie. The ginger cookie is Everything!

This location is great because of the large, sunny outdoor seating area. The coffee and egg sandwich I had was good. Service was fast and they were polite. Good spot for tying your dog up while you run inside.

I was almost not going to write a review but considering I’ve gave this place chance after chance and they still can’t get it right, well here goes. Literally every time I have came here they always mess something up. Either the type of bagel I order or the type of cream cheese I choose to have on it. Today I ordered an onion bagel with veggie cream cheese with a tomato, what I got was a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese and a tomato. The last time I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and what I got was an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. I’m not really sure what is so hard about getting my order right. Not to mention the lack of cream cheese they put on the bagel. For almost $ 4.00 I expect to taste cream cheese. I always have to walk back and ask them to put more cream cheese on it. This place really needs to step their game up on the bagel making. For the convenience factor I might give this place one more chance.

Well, I still like their product. The coffee is very good, and the lemon-yogurt cake is to die for. However, in the last year or so, there has been a huge employee turnover and the service sucks, including some serious attitude. What I also hate is that they have now adopted the Starbuck’s practice of not giving a receipt unless you ask for one. In fact, I went there today and the guy swiped my card without even telling me the total price. Without saying a word, he handed me back my card and then proceeded to sit down and start texting. I had to say, «Uh, excuse me, I’d like a receipt.»

Connecticut Muffin has the best iced coffee! I can’t wait to get my fix here every day and the staff is soo super sweet. I don’t even have to order anymore… they see my face and just get my cup ready. The sign of a true neighborhood spot! Their pastries and cookies are delicious as well and their selections of soup in the winter is really great!

This is one of my more favorite places to stop along 7th Ave. In the morning the is often a line out the door, which to me is a good sign. The service is super friendly and the food(bagels, cookies, sandwiches, muffins, coffee, tea, etc) is really reliable. While its no gourmet fancy pants place I really love a place I can count on.

(1) I usually get dessert here. The cookies are usually not soft enough. Everything else is pretty good and worth a try. I highly recommend the red velvet cupcake or cake. It taste as good as it looks. (2) Service is good. It seems they work on a faster pace than the other chain coffee shop, you know the one across the street. (3) The park benches outside is a plus. Perfect for people watching while sipping your freshly brewed coffee.

I’ve been a fan of this Park Slope location for nearly 10 years… Heck… I WAS The Duchess! ;) What on earth happened? I am continued going for my morning coffee, but started to question«is the horrible service worth it?» Within the last couple of years the service has seriously declined. So sad! No smiles, no good morning, rarely a thank you, and to top it off 9 times out of 10… my order is wrong!(and my order is a med coffee w/half & half not too light… Not difficult!) My deductive reasoning says this demise comes after 1. hiring folks who don’t really like to serve people nor actually know what good customer service actually is and 2. strongly due to the management My hopes… That this«little engine that used-to» will in fact turn around… only possible if the owners actually take some action. Here’s hopin!

Excellent iced caramel lattes. Terrific everything bagels. I like this place. I can’t understand why this place is disliked on Unilocal. Small and competent. It’s gets the job done.

This was the coffee spot before Starbucks opened up right across the street… no disrespect to S’buck but I am more into local businesses… ANYHOO… This was the place I got my very first cappuccino to go back in the 90’s way before Park slope became this hipster magnet area. A toasted everything bagel w/scallion cream cheese with a cappuccino was my breakfast MO… Bagels are still good, scallion cream cheese still good and the regular coffee I get is still great too! But for some reason the other baked goods are a hit or miss… so weird! It was always nice to be able to sit outside on the benches and enjoy the day fora bit… but because it’s so overcrowded in this area now, it’s not worth it anymore…

Came in here because a friend wanted a(cup)cake. She really wanted cake(I think all people generally do), but because I do not generally partake in the sweets she opted for the cuppy version instead. It’s sort of become my recent interest in getting to know what women want(out of a cupcake). I’ve had standard answers such as the cake itself needs to be(super)moist, not too sweet, and one of my friends said she’d like an aftertaste(whatever that really means, I’m not too sure). Thinking back on the bite of her Red Velvet cupake I suppose it really was quite average. I think she was somewhat dismayed about the fact that I told her it was simply food coloring and not some natural food ingredient mother nature intended. I’ll digress and comment on how love is just as artificial. Bottom line, the cupcake tasted like something out of a wrapper bought from a convenience store.

It looked like a nice little spot to sit in the window and watch people walk by, but appearances can be deceiving. Issues: 1. When I handed the guy a $ 20, he looked at me like I destroyed all his hopes and dreams and/or murdered his children and groaned, «Don’t you have anything smaller?» 2. The music is more Top 40 Club than Relaxing Coffee Shop. Does anyone else hate that Black Eyed Peas song? Tonight very well may be a good night, as long as I don’t hear this song again. Mazel Tov. 3. It is HOT in here. I bought a cup of tea so I could sit down and get a little work done, but even with the door wide open in jacket weather, after 10 minutes I was sweating and had to leave. 4. This one is my own fault, as I should have known better. Sitting in a coffee shop across from a school in Park Slope around 3 pm… No, no… that’s my laptop, little guy. Please wipe your cream cheese on your mother, not me.
