Our family has been renting lake house’s on Lake Columbia for many years and we always look forward to our annual family dinner at Domenick’s Restaurant at the Clark Lake Golf Course. And we normally order pizza’s as well during our annual weekly stay. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

The food and service was great. The cusromer relations? Not so much. Ryan was obnoxious, and couldn’t even take care of us because he refused to stop eating chips. While licking his fingers. And making eye contact. Our experience was fantastic until this guy ruined it. This is why we won’t be coming back.

We enjoyed Mother’s Day Brunch here today. Comments were very favorable about the salad bar, which seemed to have everything possible to make a tasty and fresh salad. One minor salad bar drawback was that there were only 3 types of dressing to choose from. The hot entrée selections and accompaniments were fabulous. The smoked ham and fried walleye were favorites. The dessert table, while having over a dozen choices, held them back from getting a 5 Star rating from us. Desserts were unremarkable, with some even not being good. However, if they offer a Mother’s Day Brunch in 2015, we’ll want to do it again!

Sadly we were in town for my father in law’s funeral and had a gathering afterwards at the CC across from the church. We had about 150 ppl attend and my lovely cousin was kind enough to set everything up for us. The food was fine-average. Nothing horrible but nothing phenomenal either. I felt as though the pricing was a little high for what we got, but hey, in extenuating circumstances I guess you’re willing to just pay the asking price. The room they had us in was perfect. It was towards the back and was spacious enough for everyone and even enough space for a big screen TV. This was great because we had a slide show of Phil that we wanted to play for all to see. The following day after Mass, we went back to the CC for lunch. I ordered the crab cakes and they were more breading and filling than crab. Pretty disappointing. I guess being a Florida girl I’m use to wonderful crab cakes, so for Brooklyn standards, maybe they were good. I do appreciate the quick turnaround they CC provided our family and am thankful everyone had a good time reminiscing about Phil. For that I am thankful.

Hits and misses… we ate here twice for dinner during a recent trip to Michigan. Hits: beef ravioli with marinara sauce which seemed homemade and was pretty good. Misses: one of drinks had a bug in it which was pretty gross. Brought us food both times without silverware. Our salad came with dressing packets(how much trouble is it to put it on the salad or on the side)? The BLT was overpowered by the bread and the sandwich was soggy. Best part: they gave us the menu with the specials but when I ordered the prime rib the answer was«we don’t have it that was yesterday’s specials»! Would I return? No…

The perfect place for casual dining. Great pizza & burgers. I’ve had the fish dinners & the whitefish is very good. Great place to go after a date. The homemade bread is wonderful. We like stopping for a carry out when getting home late after work. The golf course is very nice & fees are reasonable. Since taking over, Dominic has really improved the restaurant & golf course.

The building is very appealing and clean. Probably 2.5 stars. I’ve eaten here many times and the burgers are the best thing on the menu. Chicken wings do not have a wet sauce but are spiced before they are fried(?) not my favorite. Odd at best. The marinated steak needs to be marinated, it is tough even after marinating and cooking med. rare. Please upgrade to choice grade. The«blush» sauce on my wife’s seafood was darker than any marinara I’ve ever seen. No creaminess at all. I’m not a fan of the pizza sauce either. It may be authentic somewhere but just tastes bizarre to me. The burgers are delicious and come on fresh baked buns. I have not eaten on the Domonic’s side of the restaurant. Family owned. The owner passed away recently and his son(Domonic) runs the business. The original owner burned through employees like no restaurant I’ve ever seen. I stopped eating there 8 years ago due to the poor service and his attitude. I recently tried the place again last month and it seems to have improved. Hopefully they can regain lost business as it is a nice place.

I don’t golf so this is a review of the Restaurant and Bar. The restaurant is open and clean with a bar and shuffleboard table off to the side. The walls are wood and decorated with pictures, beer signs and sports teams memorabilia. There is a smoking and non-smoking section, but it doesn’t matter since the smoke seems to permeate the entire place. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. I’ve had several of the items here and they are all pretty good. There are specials everyday. The pizza here is pretty good with a lot of cheese and good toppings. The toppings are cut finely so they are on every bite of pizza. The cheese is gooey and think. The crust is not flavored but tastes good and it’s not very greasy.
