Christina Unisex

I have been coming to Cristina’s for years. I dont come regularly, I come now and again because its convenient &cheap. Some of the stylist have been there for years and it seems like there skills are only getting worst.

This is all they deserve… or 1 ½ stars due to the prices, their customer service isn’t bad but idk if it’s because my native tongue is Spanish as well. So we communicate fine and they are not never rude, idk if I can fully agree with the other young lady’s review but I can understand her frustrations.

I do not recommend this salon to my worst enemy, they are even worse than Maribel’s on Flatbush… I usually do my own hair and people insist that it was done at a salon. On this occasion I just didn’t have time to do it myself and needed salon intervention. Not only was my hair dry and lifeless, but so were the rest of the customers! I was looking around at other customer’s hair after it was done for hope in just having my own bad hair moment. Overall, the customer service was horrible and I think they use cheap products while the store window is dressed up with the good stuff. The stylist who did my hair, was sloppy and failed to attend to me through out my duration under the hottest hair drier. She did not wash me well, did not take her time with snarls while wet combing, and attempted to use a bristled brush to wrap my hair up. I had to stop her before she did more damage! After the horrible experience, I left – no tip – no goodbye; no see you next time – UGH, never again! The only good thing about this salon is that it’s conveniently located in the heart of Flatbush, however, I am willing to travel across the country to avoid ever going to this salon again. From now on I’m sticking to my «at home» salon. I only give Christina’s Unisex salon one star because it is required in order to submit the review. I would love to find an excellent salon in this area that meets my needs and I’m able to pop in on when I’m not in the mood to do my own hair.
