Grande is a living arbiter of capoeira angola knowledge and experience. Not all experts are great teachers: this man IS. His classes isolate the nuances of playing a beautiful game, while encouraging students to develop their own capoeira style, creativity, and general approach.
I began training with Grande in January of 2015 and could not be happier with the community of angoleiros he has built in Brooklyn.
