Cathy’s Pampered Pups

Cathy is wonderful with our dog Bella. Bella loves her. Cathy is honest, trustworthy, compassionate and all around fantastic. I would hire her forever if we weren’t leaving Brooklyn. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Left my dog with Cathy for a week while on vacation. She only usually has a few dogs at a time under her care so I think they each get a lot of individual attention. She also has a great backyard for the pups to run around and play in. Will definitely use this service again.

Cathy runs an excellent service and our dog Lucy absolutely loves staying with her. She uses her own sweet dog to screen any dog before boarding them. While at Cathy’s house, the dogs have the run of the house and can play out in the back yard. Cathy also takes them on walks.
In addition to being extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times, Cathy has also picked Lucy up from our home (she lives pretty close). She gives us little reports when we pick Lucy up as to which kinds of dogs she played best with.
Whenever we pass by her street on a walk, Lucy pulls to try to go the Cathy’s and is always super disappointed when we aren’t heading there. I think that speaks for itself. It’s nice to have someone you can really trust with your dog — knowing that, when you go away on vacation, it can be a vacation for the dog as well.

Cathy runs an excellent service! She operates out of her home, and has a great back yard for the dogs to play in and a tidy section of her home dedicated to the dogs that is safe and free of clutter. Her hours are long and she does what she can to accommodate your needs, I think ranging from 7 am all the way till 9 pm, and on weekends too!
Before your dog goes they need to be tested and she does this by having a one on one play session with her border collie mix Sophie, who is the sweetest, to make sure they can play nicely with everyone. You can tell she really loves what she does, and it makes me happy that my pup is safe and having fun in something that doesn’t look institutionalizes like a lot of doggie daycares in the area.
Her rates are $ 20 for half days (anywhere from 1 — 4 hours), and $ 30 for a full day of 4 hours on up, note it’s cash only. I know she also does walks and boarding, but am not sure on her rates for those. After the screening process you just give her a call the day before to set up a time and make sure she has room since she keeps the group small.
For those of you looking for something relaxed and homey while still having your dog out to play and looked after while you’re at work or running errands this is a great place to take them. So far my pup has come back every day tired, happy and obviously well taken care of.
