5 stars! Everything from the exceptional service and ambiance to the incredible food. We were celebrating so we got to try a lot and were very impressed by everything. The bacon wrapped dates filled with blue cheese was SO good. The oysters were fresh and delicious. We also tried the bone marrow with escargot for the first time and really enjoyed it. Oh! And the cotton candy pork appetizer! Such a treat! For our meals we had the filet mignon and the NY strip, both medium rare and incredibly savory and melted in our mouths. Cocktails were amazing as well! TOTALLY worth it if you want to enjoy a nice night out. We were very impressed.

We had a terrific meal at Carnem, from cocktails to the main courses and sides. Preparations all had a bit of a twist, keeping it from being a boring steakhouse. Good service in a calm setting.

It’s interesting how I got to Carnem. I was bored at home. So I message one of my closest friend and she said that we can try this place. She had just got the Groupon for it. So I picked her up from work and we headed to Carnem. Being honest i didn’t think I would find a place that I would think really deserved a 5 star. There was one other place that came so close to getting a 5 star from me but it just barely missed it. Carnem from when we entered was a good experience. We were greeted by the host how said he would be right with us. And a few seconds later came and sat us. He pulled the seat for my friend and even mine then offered us water. The waiter then came and brought us the menu. The waiter was attentive to our order. My friend got the Hangersteak and Lobster and the Grapefruit Medley while I got the Salmon Skewers and The Dessert Rose. She had the steak medium well. The steal was perfect; the taste, texture, and portion everything was just right. The Salmon to was great I am not a fan of mushrooms but they made it well. The drinks were sweet just how I like it. The environment was simple which made it very good. The presentation of the food on point. But more than anything customer service here was one of the best I have ever experience the host tried his best to greet everyone that came in and left the restaurant. My friend and I are both trying to decide who we are going to bring here next time we come.

We started off with the cotton candy pork belly and octopus as appetizers. According to Unilocal reviews the pork belly was the go to item. I was somewhat disappointed because it tasted like a spare rib(nice flavors, but nothing wow). The presentation was cute, however. The octopus was tender and flavorful. This was a major thumbs up for the restaurant because I’ve tried octopus at a few different restaurants and disliked it very much. For the entrée I split the porterhouse steak for two. It had a nice char to it and was sufficiently juicy. However, there were a few pieces that had chunks of salt attached. For dessert I ordered the fried Oreo with gelato. The gelato was nice and creamy but the fried dough was a little burnt. The waitress was super super nice and the staff was extremely attentive. It was clear that they wanted everyone to have an enjoyable experience and did everything in their power to do so. I wouldn’t run back again, but it was a solid meal.

Carnem’s has phenomenal service. The waitstaff was one of the most courtesy, attentive, and thoughtful teams that I’ve ever encountered. We started with the cotton candy pork and the Spanish charred octopus. The cotton candy pork was one of the most unique appetizers that I’ve ever had. Surprisingly, it tasted exactly like BBQ spare ribs from Chinese takeout because of how the cotton candy caramelized around the crispy meat. The octopus was prepared plated with pesto, a balsamic drizzle, and crispy potatoes. It was an unconventional way of eating octopus to me as I’m accustomed to eating it raw or quickly seared without sauces or toppings. For our main course, I shared the porterhouse for two with my girlfriend. The meat’s seasoning was excellent. We requested for it to be cooked medium rare. It came out slightly overcooked; it was on the borderline between medium rare and medium. For the price of the dish, I was truly expecting perfection. For dessert, we ate the fried oreos with gelato. I like the balance of sweetness, creaminess, and savoriness of the dish.

My friend and I were visiting NYC from Texas when we bumped into this place here on Unilocal! Carnem was amazing from the moment I picked up my phone asking if they had room for us in 20 minutes to the moment we left. The host was kind enough to fit us in during their busy Saturday dinner time. They didn’t have a table for us, but we took a seat right at the bar where we had full dinner service from the bartender. I started off with the cotton candy pork belly — which everyone should try on their first visiti to this place. The sweet cotton candy leads to the perfectly cooked pork belly in the center. Strange, but a very delightful combination. I ended dinner with the giant pork chops — perfectly cooked, definitely a hearty dinner, but well worth the flavors. The apples on top made the perfect combination of sweet and salty! The biggest thing I want to rave about is the service that Carnem provided. I don’t remember the bartender’s name, but he made the experience that much better. This place is the true definition of fine dining!

I got the Porterhouse for 2 which I split with my buddy. It was not for 2. We each could of ate one ourselves. For 140 bucks it was severely underwhelming. Also their site says happy hour from 5 – 7 but the bartenders say they don’t have a happy hour. Seems sketchy to me. Don’t waste your money here there are much better steakhouses in Brooklyn. Edit: Also owner is a body shaming douche nozzle. Give your money to someone better.

Looking to impress you date? COME. HERE. First off, ROBERT-that’s the only name you need to know. Impeccable service– We had to push back our reservation time, and he handled it with no frustration or complication. We were greeted by him upon our arrival, and every time I sat down, he pulled out and pushed in my chair for me. We ordered a bottle of wine with our dinner, and they forgot to bring it out, so he gave us two glasses on the house for the inconvenience. Go, Robert. Team Robert. Drinks: Ordered the Chai Tea Martini pre-dinner. It did taste just like Chai Tea, and my co-diner absolutely loved it. I liked it as much as I can like Chai Tea, but it was made very light and refreshing, so thumbs up. We had the Francis Coppola cab to go with our steaks, and you really can’t go wrong with a little FC and steak. Dinner: Showstopper. Ordered the pork belly cotton candy(yes, partially did it for the #insta) but for someone who does not regularly eat pork belly, found the cut to be really tender, and the pairing with cotton candy, which I was hesitant about, to balance out quite well. For our main, we ordered the Cowboy Cut for 2, and the asparagus and brussels. The steak was melt in our mouth good, and cut like butter. Really on point. We had no leftovers. The sides were great too. Overall: All the yesses.

My BF made a reservation at here for our 2 months. First of all, they provided great service. They kept asking us how was our food. The manager even asked if we wanted to take a picture together. At the end, the manager walked us out the door. Now, let’s talk about the foods. Apparently some of the foods are available on sun-Thursday only. We got the seafood platter, Peruvian style calamari, pork belly cotton candy, crispy shrimps and porter house. The seafood was super fresh. The oysters were fat and juicy. The Peruvian style calamari was crispy, spicy and sweet. The sauce was definitely a good combination. The famous pork belly cotton candy was yummy. The pork belly was crispy and not too dried. You could taste a little of fatness but not greasy. The porter house was juicy and tender. As for drinks, we got the whiskey smash, red finance, grapefruit medley and the desert rose. I enjoyed the drinks a lot. You could definitely taste the ingredient listed. It might smell fruity but once you take a sip, you’ll know it’s strong. By the way, you get 20% off signature cocktails if you check in on Unilocal

When I pay $ 100+ for a piece of meat, I want it to be good. And the 28-day dry-aged ribeye for two at Carnem? It was. This is a steakhouse(it says so on the sign), and they cook meat properly. That piece of meat that cost me and my father a bill was a bit smaller than I expected at the price, but we certainly weren’t sad about digging into that perfectly medium rare juiciness. We also opted to try the pork belly cotton candy appetizer. Pork and sweet go together like lamb and tuna fish, so it was unsurprisingly quite tasty. Personally, I could’ve just had the pork belly on its own and been perfectly happy, but I appreciate the novelty, and at $ 3 apiece you can’t really complain. If I was going to complain, I’d talk about: 1. Being sat next to the table of screaming children(despite open tables elsewhere). 2. The creamed spinach being a bit watery. 3. When our server asked if he could get me another drink and I declined, he brought it anyway.(Don’t get me wrong though, I drank it, because I like bourbon and it was there.) But I never complain, so I’d rather tell you that: 1. The octopus appetizer is also quite tasty. 2. The crème brûlée is as good as crème brûlée gets. So if you’re in a meaty mood in the Slope, you could do a lot worse.

Really great gem to find in brooklyn. The pork belly cotton candy was amazing sweet and porky greatness. The service is out standing. Just even having a $ 15 menu to keep your pockets happy was a great idea. I’m really mad I didn’t order a steak but I will be back people. And in going to be in steak heaven.

Quite disappointing. The Cotton Candy Pork Belly is literally grilled pork belly with cotton candy around it. The pork belly is too dry for me. The Octopus appetizer was not that impressive. I prefer those in a Japanese Izakaya. The Calamari appetizer is also not that impressive. It is not as crispy as I expect. The sauce coating is decent, but not worth trying. The Bone Marrow Escargot was not something I like at all. It is basically bone marrow with escargot. The escargot could have been more browned with crumb coating. I don’t enjoy eating slugs plain. The Garlic Fries are really really good. It is super crispy and remains so after the whole meal. The Cheeseburger was really bad. I didn’t want more after one bite. The Chicken was average. I can do a better job with my rotisserie oven. The desserts were pretty average: Cannoli was pretty plain with no nuts or chocolate coating. Tiramisu was decent, but I only had one bite. Crème Brûlée was worst I have had. Chocolate Fondue is pretty good, but it is really easy to make. Just chocolate with some alcohol and perhaps sweetened. The fruits are not of good quality. Overall, I will not be back.

Greeted by an anxious maitre d we were scolded for booking a table for 3 and then arriving with 4 people. Off to a bad start but at least our waitress was calm and easy going. We started with the pork belly cotton candy(which you really should try), had a couple of good(not great) cocktails, a nice wedge salad(which wasn’t a wedge at all) and finished off with a GIGANTIC $ 110 Cowboy steak which was a big mistake to order. The menu says this steak feeds 2 but in reality it should feed 4 – 5. It also wasn’t very flavorful. Nice place, but I wouldn’t come here for the meat. Maybe next time I’ll try the burger, probably a better bang for your buck.

I continue to be amazed at the quality of restraunts in Brooklyn– Carnem is no exception to that. We started out with the pork belly cotton candy, bacon wrapped dates and bone marrow with escargot. All three appetizers were amazing! The cotton candy was light and sweet but didn’t over shine the juicy pork belly. The boy loved the bacon & dates… well cause it’s bacon but also because the dates were large pieces and perfect bite size treat. We had a little trouble with the bone marrow — it was served in sections instead of halves. So we needed to work a little for our marrow. We both got steaks — boy had the churrasco filet mignon and I had the angus beef dry-aged filet mignon. Def go with their selection of dry-aged steaks. It is on point! I continue to be amazed at the quality of restraunts in Brooklyn– Carnem is no exception to that.

I took my bf here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it and so did i. The restaurant is wonderfully decorated and dimly lit for a romantic dinner or intimate gathering. When we got there the waiter voluntarily took our coats and hung them up which was so nice. The services was impeccable. We ordered octopus for appetizer which we both tried for the first time and wow it was delish! Crispy but tender on the inside and the glaze and potatoes were amazing. My nf ordered a 10oz steak which he said was by far one of the best steaks he has had in a long time. I ordered the pistachio crusted lamb chops. My plate was so pretty! It had a Parmesan cheese garnish and the flavors were spot on. As for the cocktails… they tasted so goood. I had the one with the egg white. It was sooo refreshing. Id really urge people to come here.

A group of four of us wanted to have brunch next door, but it was packed, I decided we’d hit up this place as they were fairly quick about clearing a table for us. The staff was extremely nice, the interior is modern, I would not have expected this to be a steak house judging from the outside, as soon as I saw their specials chalkboard and it says lobster bennedict, I expected some nice lobster goodness. Four of us ordered the lobster bennies, unfortunately the lobster meat was not the best I’ve had, kind of bland, the egg was a bit over-boiled, the butter sauce was kind of thick, but the best thing of the meal was actually the rum-banana strawberry french toasts, the server said that some people request this for dessert at dinner time. It’s so warm and thick, sweet and very flavorful. That vanilla ice cream on top made it heaven. I had a house lemonade but it was just ok, overall it was a nice atmosphere making it a nice meal, but the meal itself tasted just ok. You have to try the french toasts. I’ll probably come back for dinner.

So fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was almost impeccable. Even for as large a party as ours they were extremely attentive, thoughtful, and patient. Our waiter, Alex, put our flowers in water when we entered and was great with service. The manger personally came over to chat with us and ensure great service. The ambiance was classy yet comfortable– not stiff or stuffy. The calamari is one of a kind. The porterhouse is massive and delicious. I will certainly come back here again!

Either I was there in a VERYVERY off day or those reviews are fake. I went to Carnem with my husband a few days ago and since we didn’t have a reservation, we got places at the bar(which is fine and we actually prefer). The bartender was ok, but they eventually got overwhelmed with a huge group who was waiting for a table(maybe 8+ people) and forgot about us. We had a bottle of wine and we were pouring our own glasses. Again, this is not a big of a deal, but the place isn’t cheap, so I’d expect better service. Then, we got our food. I had the beef stroganoff — it was fine. Good, not great. Sauce was too runny, but ok priced at $ 22. I asked for veggies instead of mashed potatoes and they gave me sautéed peppers and onions. Okay. However, this was better than the side my husband got for his $ 46 steak. He got a huge plate, a okay piece of meat and a handful of broccoli. The broccoli were blanched and that’s about it: no seasoning at all. My veggies were better. Steak doesn’t come with anything, so you have to order the sauce(for a few bucks). For $ 46, they should you give you something better and include the sauce. Gosh. So, this place is pricey for the quality. Here’s my breakdown: Food: 2 stars — meat is good, but sides are poor and uninspired. Service: 3 stars — staff needs better training. Bartenders were fine, host wasn’t great. We waited several minutes while he was on the phone before he greeted us, no smiles whatsoever. Bang for your buck: 2 stars — you’re paying prime prices(not Eleven Madison prices, but not pub prices either) for an ok place. I think my biggest complaint is the price vs. quality of the dishes. Again, for a $ 46 steak, I’d better get some nicely side dish and not a handful of sad broccoli. I think I’d give them 2 stars, but then there was this huge party waiting 45min+ for their table(they were complaining they got there a few minutes after their reservation and their table wasn’t ready. They ended up waiting about 45min for the table.). This would NOT be related to me, but since they stayed at the bar and were angry and SUPER loud, they really disrupted my dinner experience, at the point my husband and I stopped talking since we couldn’t here each other — and this group was all around us: both sides AND resting and talking on the back of our stools. Had the manager been paying attention, he should have also apologized to us or should have made something to give us a better experience. In summary: this place is way too pricey for the combination of food, service and décor you get. You’ll pay here more than what you pay in places like Al di lá, Talde or Bricolage, that have better food and service.

I got a late night reservation at Carnem for valentine’s day through Open Table and received a call that afternoon to confirm. The appetizers were really great — the cotton candy pork was really fun and the meat melted in your mouth just as smoothly as the cotton candy. The Peruvian calamari was also great, a huge serving size and was crispy while being covered in a balsamic glaze that added both spiciness and some sweet/sour flavors that normally you don’t find on a calamari dish. We split the cowboy steak for our entrée and while the cut was really fantastic, it just felt a little under-seasoned. A little more salt and butter would have gone a long way as I found myself reminiscing of the perfect seasoning on a Peter Luger’s steak. Now I know Carnem is not Peter Luger’s — but with a cut of meat that beautiful it’s hard not to lament how close it was to being great instead of just good. The prices are fair, the wait staff was extremely friendly, and I’d love to come back to try more of the appetizers, but there was just a little something missing from the steak despite it being cooked to a perfect rare and being a great cut.

We had dinner here last night and I must say the service was outstanding and our meal was delicious. The staff is super sweet. We were on our way to another restaurant and was so happy that we stopped to check out Carnem’s menu. There were so many options and we love to try brand new places. We made the right decision. We are going back for brunch on Sunday. Just a small note to the chef/owner of this spot. We ordered the Bone Marrow Escargot and while the presentation was beautiful, the taste was a bit underwhelming. Please add a little more seasoning or salt, something. Thank you!

Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic wine. The only drawback is it is a little pricey and the portions are on the smaller side, but the food is filling and delicious! My fiancé and I came here last night to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter Olekksi was wonderful and attentive. We ordered the pork belly cotton candy, which was amazing, and the calamari for appetizers, and then we both had the Hangar Steak and Lobster Tail with Chef’s vegetables for dinner. The calamari was untraditional but delicious, and the steak and lobster was beyond amazing. A little on the small side, but I had leftovers, so I’m not complaining! The steak was accompanied by a fabulous Bernaise sauce, and the lobster by a bleu cheese sauce. Now, I am not a bleu cheese fan at all– in fact I hate the stuff– but I gave it the good old college try, and I am so glad I did! It complimented the lobster perfectly! We decided on the the chocolate cheesecake for desert, which was a brilliant choice because it was so amazingly good! We paired our meal with two bottles of Malbec. Because it is a bit on the pricey side, we won’t be able to visit as often as we’d like, but I think we found our go-to place for special occasions!

Wow. Double wow. That is really the appropriate way to think about Carnem right out of the gate. It’s tucked away on 5th in the midst of average restaurants so you might overlook it or pass it by. That would be a mistake. Carnem is a steak house by name and for good reason. They have some serious cuts of meat and even smaller«petite» sizes if you aren’t hungry enough. Do yourself a favor and come hungry though. I always love finding a new tequila drink since it’s my favorite alcohol. The red finance is simply incredible. The trendy elderflower liquor, St. Germaine, is put to use very well along with some jalapeño infusion and cointreu to give you a great sweet and sour balance with a light kick. Starters: Please just take my word and order the calamari for an appetizer, even if you are enjoying the wonderful bread(super yum). It’s done in a Peruvian style which even if you don’t know what that means you’re in for a treat. It’s not your breaded and deep fried squid you might get at any Italian regular restaurant or olive garden. The flavors jump at you like a party in New Year’s eve and the squid is tender and not chewy. The portion is great so you don’t over stuff yourself. The main: Ok, I went for the barrel cut filet. Don’t be mad because it’s «standard» for steak houses. Let me tell you this steak at Carnem sets a NEW standard. Tender, perfectly cooked medium rare, spiced exactly as needed and melt in your mouth. It didn’t even need the accompanying sauce. The meat paired well with the mashed potatoes(shocker). Service wss top notch as well. Our waiter was well informed, had good recommendations and was the perfect level of attentiveness. We were one of two tables as it was early but I could tell he was a pro. Water consistently filled(room temp — awesome) and plates cleared and utensils restocked as needed. I wish we had time to entertain dessert but were running to a Nets v Knicks at Barclays. I can’t wait to come back and experience it all again and more.

I had the privilege of being invited by one of my closest friends to spend Christmas Eve with him and his family at this wonderful restaurant in the heart of Park Slope. The first bite of the calamari entrée was magical — soft, juicy, and incredibly tasty. From that first bite I knew that Carnem was a special place. And I looked forward to every second of that experience, to every bite, from the first plate all the way to desert(and all the way we did go!). I ordered paella while everyone else had meat. The paella was juicy and melted in my mouth. I loved the paella and I would certainly order it again. The rest ordered the meat medium-rare and it was also juicy, soft and tasty. The portion sizes were just right — enough to feel full, but not too much to feel that we had to struggle to finish or to digest. The presentation of the plates was also very creative, attuned to the Christmas atmosphere, and certainly felt that it enhanced both the way the food tasted as well as the celebratory experience. The overall setting was also conducive to a relaxing and pleasurable experience: we savored our food while enjoying soft background music, and in the intimate atmosphere created by a dimmed, warm light. The waiters were also extremely friendly and attentive. They removed from the bill one plate of desert, because it did not quite fit the menu description(although we did enjoy every bite of it– actually it was one of the best deserts I’ve ever had). The price was fair: on the expensive side, but definitely good value, especially special/celebratory occasions. I do believe the quality of the food is at least at par with some of the best restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Came here to celebrate a birthday in a sit down Saturday brunch. It was a group of about 10 of us and when we walked in, there was a neatly arranged table awaiting us. I loved the décor. Dark color scheme with artistic bull pictures on the walls. Sounds odd but was a nice touch to the ambience. They had gluten free pancakes as an option on the brunch menu. I tried them and must say they were pretty good. The chef was kind to substitute the muffin in eggs Benedict for a nice gluten free pancake. Service was good. It was quick, friendly and to the point. The menu had a nice selection of American basics with some middle eastern flare. Overall, the place was a bit pricey for brunch but I enjoyed it and liked the food and would not mind returning there again.

Very friendly service and good food. The servers were helpful and nice. It was hard to get their attention at times, but it wasn’t a huge problem. The steak was cooked well. We got 2 porterhouses($ 139 each) and 2 cowboys($ 99 each), one of each rare and medium rare, and the temperatures were perfect. The steaks were a little small for the price though. The sides were also on the smaller side at $ 8 – 9 each. We shared a few orders of the brussels sprouts, mushrooms, creamed spinach, roasted potatoes, and an order of fries. I say skip the creamed spinach. It was mostly just bland and wet. The other sides were all just ok. I probably liked the mushrooms the best. We also started with the pork belly cotton candy($ 3 each). I really liked this — the pork was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The bone marrow with escargot($ 9) was just ok. The bones weren’t huge, so it was a bit of a tease. Overall, the service and food was good. The space is cute and we were seated in the back downstairs area which is semi-private. It came out to $ 104 per person, so it wasn’t a great value, but not bad.

Wow, a wonderful steakhouse that isn’t in Manhattan! My friends and I ended up here for dinner on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Décor is minimalist, so it seems quite beautiful and sleek, not exactly what you would expect in Brooklyn. Not to mention, it’s bigger on the inside!(I’m going to wait for that reference to set in.) Service: Was wonderful, the owner stopped by and greeted us as he knew one of our friends. Wonderful man and overall great service from the wait staff. Now to the food: Filet Mignon Sliders: Delicious! I was surprised how tasty it was. It did look a little underwhelming when I first saw it — looked to be a little dry, little White-Castle-esque(though I do love White Castle) but was happily surprised at how delicious, flavorful and moist the meat inside was. Spanish Charred Octopus: Presentation is a plus! Cooked to perfection, tender without being too soft. I really liked this dish, and not to mention not something you see all the time on a menu. 42 oz. Porterhouse Steak: I shared this easily with 3 people, so factor that in if ordering. It was so delicious and amazing. Definitely a great cut of meat and cooked to perfection. Often steakhouses will try to lure you in with their amazing sides of sauces. There is absolutely no need: a great steak cooked right can stand alone simply on its taste without superfluous sauces. This is such a steak. Whole Fish Branzino: My friend ordered this and I took a bite. For a steakhouse, they sure know how to cook a fish as well. Great presentation. Sides: Sauteed Baby Spinach: Very good, I love having spinach to help offset the balance of a nice hearty steak. Not the best spinach dish I’ve eaten(that would go to Club A Steakhouse) but this is really great nevertheless. I would recommend this as a side. Roasted Potatoes: It was only ok, but I never turn down potatoes and so I ate a lot of this dish as well. Great tasting, but not amazing(compared to all the other food I ate.) Brussels Sprouts: Surprise again, these Brussels sprouts were cooked right. Slightly charred gives it a great smokey flavor that also balances the steak well. I would definitely recommend this as a side. Great ambiance, DELICIOUS steak. What more needs to be said?

Called for a reservation on a Friday night, and was put in right away, which was great. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and has a nice downstairs area, with outdoor dining in the back. We sat outside, the downstairs area is very small, and wanted to have some space while eating. Our waiter John was awesome, he explained the menu & was very attentive, along with the man who brought the water & bread, he was constantly at our table asking if everything is ok. For drinks I had what John recommended the medley, which was very refreshing. Appetizers were good, shrimp, and filet mignon sliders, and the cotton candy pulled pork. Shrimp was delicious, only came with four shrimp, wish there was more, enjoyed the sauce it was in, and the crispy stuff on top. Sliders, were good, wish it was on a better bun, but overall good Cotton candle pork belly, I didn’t try, I’m not big on pork belly or cotton candy lol but it did look cute. For dinner I had the 7oz New York strip $ 27 my husband had the 16oz $ 55, medium, it was cooked perfect, great taste, didn’t need any sauce, which I’m completely against on steak! We asked John if the cook can make our mash potatoes with garlic, and he did, they were delicious!!! They also brought us the regular mash, but I enjoyed the garlic ones way better! I suggest they make garlic mash only. We also has the creamed spinach, which was good, taste like any other I’ve had. Dessert we tried the chocolate cake, very rich, very good. This place would get five stars except for the price! My husband & I love steak! We are regulars at old homestead in the city, so much that they know our names when we walk in. We get more appetizers there(calamari, shrimp, crab cake) larger New York strip steaks, also dry aged 30 plus days, also USDA, the 14 oz is $ 4418oz $ 48, two sides(truffle macaroni & cheese, and potatoes) we also have dessert, the same chocolate cake, but triple the size, also I at least have three glasses of wine, and the bill isn’t as expensive as here. I’m only going on one of many steak houses I’ve eaten at(stk, mortons, Wolfgang) meanwhile Carnem in Park Slope is more expensive for less food. This is disappointing, because the next time we are in the mood for steak, I will have to think twice, go here(walking distance) or have the same quality meal, with more food, someplace else.

There is only one word in the world that i love to hear… STEAK!!! Say no more, I am there. We dined at Carnem during its second week in business and it was a great dining experience. Usually, i would expect a new restaurant to be working out its kinks but I didn’t see that at all during dinner. The restaurant was spacious, as well, as there is a separate dining area downstairs. One thing is that you can easily miss the restaurant if you were just walking by. We ordered the: — Pork Belly Cotton Candy(recommend 1 per person) — surprising that behind that blue cotton candy is a savory juicy pork belly. — Petite Tender Medallion Steak — 6 oz Petit Filet Mignon The steak came with sauces but we asked for it on the side. Honestly, I didn’t feel like the steak needed any sauce on it. It was delicious, well seasoned and cooked perfectly as is! The wine we got paired well with the steak. I would definitely come back for more of its petite tender medallion steak!
