For a small bagel shop on the avenue, it’s pretty nondescript. But one of the biggest things that stand out for me whenever I stop in here is that the guys are super polite, even using«ma’am» during a transaction. The first time it happened I was caught a little off guard, but I was impressed. Their prices are pretty good, and the bagels are fresh(what else would you expect in Brooklyn?). Good for a quick lunch or to stock up on your hot bagel supply. They also carry muffins, and I *think* personal pizzas. Yum.

I’ve been meaning to try this place forever, but it always seemed to be closed, and considering their hours aren’t posted on the door I never knew when to come in. I was feeling optimistic on Saturday and decided to drag my little brother who just moved to the area out for breakfast. As it turned out I was in luck. The place was open and I even found out that I can never catch them open because they close at 5PM every day. I got a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox, and my bro had a sausage breakfast sandwich. They were both good but not mindblowingly so, and unfortunately the girl behind the counter did not know how to take an order or ring us up. We waited for good 10 minutes for the food and then another 5 to pay for it. Most of the clientele seems to be regulars, and the owners are friendly enough. However between the awkward hours and awkward service I don’t think I’ll become a regular anytime soon
