This place is unassumingly fantastic. They make killer drinks and the tacos pack the right amount of heat with amazing flavors. My pick, magic eight ball and the jalapeño shrimp taco, but I don’t think you can go wrong.

This«outpost» is a perfectly-nestled pop-up spot to the left of the main bar at Donna, a popular joint on the western tip of Broadway in Williamsburg. Apparently the taco bar is now there permanently, which is fantastic for groups or solos grabbing a quick bite to partner with their strong selection of beers, or one of their complex, mixology-centric cocktails. My first night there, my chef Joe utilized a small grill to push out big flavors. If you’re alone or a two-some, grab a seat in front of him. Busy, yet laid-back and sociable. For the carnies, any of the Brisket, Chorizo or «Chipotle’d» chicken selections yield a winning combination of meat and heat, and the Kale and Potato provides a hearty, flesh-free choice for veg denizens. The chips and guac deliver a starter or standalone with simple freshness, or try the Guaco Taco for a softer bite. Corn on the cob with tangy cotija cheese is an addictive, shareable starter, and yes, toothpicks were available upon my request. The music varies nightly, so expect hit-or-miss with multiple visits, contingent on what your earbuds like to taste. For my dollar, my taste buds heard a symphony. Fanned.
