Had a great first experience with Broocleaners. Price was essentially the same as a drop-off dry cleaners. I will definitely use them again for my dry cleaning.

Great service, friendly workers! I come here every week. I finally found a solid dry cleaner to go to.

I stubbornly did my own laundry in NY for years — afraid of turning it over to the hands of others. Since my boyfriend moved in though, I can’t handle all the dirty clothes. I feel very lucky to have found Broocleaners/Femi as a solution. I’ve been sending my laundry off with Broocleaners for the past 6 months now without any issues. Admittedly, the app is still being developed, but Femi has been consistent and kind through the process. He even showed up very early one morning just so I could have my Halloween costume. Broocleaners offers several options: hang dry, sensitive skin, fabric softener, etc. They typically have my laundry done in a day’s time, which is incredibly helpful. Highly recommended! I scheduled two times for pick-up and delivery here. The first time was through the app and the second through . The first time delivery and pick up were relatively prompt but the laundry seemed semi-clean. The entire 25 lb. order was white sheets and towels with light marks on 2 – 3 items. The light marks didn’t really fade more or go away and it wasn’t scented. I think the machines are older or the organic/natural wash could be stronger. Perhaps a natural scent added like lavender oil would help. It was cleaned but I’ve had cleaner from standard drop-off spots. Femi is very friendly though and provides a discount for 1st time customers. This time I ordered at 5pm for a 7−8pm delivery time. By 8:30 I decided to call and there was no response and the voicemail was full. I never received a status update of «scheduled» like last time just«submitted». The delivery times start at 7pm so one would assume that the delivery orders would be checked right before this. I guess no one checked all day? I thought hard between 1 and 2 stars but decided on 1 star since it’s been 50⁄50 and the whole premise is out the window without communication. The service is a great IDEA so hopefully the owner can get communication and execution as a whole together. I just know there are enough lazies or busy people nearby who will use this. I’ve already mentioned it to 5 people before this failed mission occurred. FYI: Another review mentions .85/lb. Unless pick up/delivery service is priced differently, it has changed to $ 1/lb. Call beforehand if you’re doing your own and need certitude.

Femi was a breeze to deal with, I have lots of expensive and high quality fabric sweaters that had some food stains on them, Femi noted where the stains were and the sweaters came back in a couple of days looking brand new. My clothes also didn’t have that god awful dry cleaning sent on them that I would experience with other companies. Will definitely be using broocleaners again!

EDIT: After sending an email where I explained my complain to the manager, I received a call from the company saying that I can come over and get my money back. So although there was a misunderstanding and lot of stress at the beginning, the company reached back to me and dealt with my complain. And I very much appreciate that. _________________________________ ORIGINALREVIEW: I am very unsatisfied with the service. Together with our clothes, we brought to Broocleaners two curtains for alteration. Since it was first time for us there, we were not sure how much would it cost to shorten two curtains. So we asked the guy. He was not sure either but he said that he’ll ask the tailor and give us a call about the price. Two days latter, I came to pick up the clothes and since I did not receive any call, I assumed that they were too busy to get to the alteration job. But when I came there, the curtains were already shortened and the guy(someone else than the one who took the order) asked for twenty dollars, twenty dollars for each curtain! So that makes forty dollars total! I was simply outraged. Firstly, this is obviously really expensive for a pair of plain curtains(these curtains were worth of $ 10) so if the guy would do his job and informed me about the price as promised, I would simply tell them to leave it as it is(as I simply cannot afford to pay that much money just to have shorter curtains). But that is not my point! My point is that I was promised to be informed about the price in advance and it did not happen. So I spent there half an hour arguing with the guy. He insisted that the tailor did a lot of work as the curtains were large(no, he did not do «lot of work», altering plain curtains is — contrary to altering evening dress — rather easy) and that he can’t let me go without paying for the curtains(my suggestion was — keep the curtains, I don’t want them for $ 40, I’ll take just my clothes). Eventually, he said he can give me a $ 10 discount, so the price would be $ 30. He also suggested that I’ll «give him a price» which I found rather uncomfortable and confusing(you just said you can’t give me that bellow $ 30!). Additionally, he made me even more uncomfortable encouraging me to «finally do something» and not«just stand there». So I paid the $ 30 dollars and left. Now I admit that it was a mistake of that guy who took the order and did not call us in the first place, but let me tell you… it was really frustrating experience.

They shrunk/ruined one shirt via the laundry service, i gave them a second chance, which was a mistake because they then shrunk all my button down shirts. Now all my favorite button-downs dont fit and I tug at them all day to try to stretch them back to their original size. Lastly, they completely lost a very expensive shirt with their dry cleaning service. I received a tiny fraction of what the shirt is worth. A complete shame.

Best clothing service you can find in the neighborhood. Excellent prices, easy to drop off-laundry for only $ 0.85 a pound, dry cleaning prices are the best you can find, and they’re open 7 days a week! Highly recommend.

Great service, really friendly. Drop-off service is pretty quick, and everything returns clean, tidy, and in good order.
