This will be my other go to café in Brooklyn. Went inside and I was greeted by a very friendly atmosphere and staff. Cory shows great customer service. Went here to try the almond latte and it taste really delightful. I can’t wait to try the other food and drinks. Ps this place is vegetarian friendly.

I had a special black bean wrap, hummus, avocado with cod fish. YUMMY!!! With a TING of course! Very Friendly staff! I definitely be back again for a SMOOTHIE! I like that they used healthy romaine and the red lettuce(forgot the name) versus the nutrient-less plain lettuce. I was SATISFIED! See you soon $ 3 smoothie with 3 different fruits

This vegetarian restaurant is simply cute. It’s small and intimate which is a quality i admire in a restaurant. The food is amazing and I loved the music that they were playing. I think that 4th Ave isn’t really a good place for this restaurant to be on, but I’m rooting for this place. I will be going back for their soup on cold days

The guy who runs this place(Cory) could not be nicer, and the food he makes is delicious — including the fake chicken! Omg. It is soooo tasty and so awesome to have good vegetarian food in the neighborhood.

We are about to move upstate and I am thrilled that my family and I stopped into Breadfruit for brunch today. Everything we ordered was wonderful, the service was very friendly, and we now have yet another reason to miss the neighborhood(as well as another reason to come back and visit). My partner began to grumble a bit about the food not coming out quickly, but I noted that we were having a more authentic Caribbean experience! The food was obviously made with love and care; qualities that are often lost in expedited food service. We were not in a hurry, and we left feeling satisfied for hours!

Breadfruit Tree Café is a welcome presence in the neighborhood. They are the most friendly people and Corey cares very deeply about the food that he makes. Favorites include the green bananas, rice and peas, curry chicken and ginger soy chicken. The special raw desserts are delicious – we even ordered the cake for a recent birthday, and it was a big hit.

I was super curious about this place as I always walk past it on my way home. Now I always get an iced ginger tea unsweetened and it is ready promptly and in a friendly manner. The staff keep the place looking immaculate and are really friendly. I recently started to eat their food(I believe it was cod fish and rice w/beans) and I couldn’t have been prouder of myself for trying it. So Good!!! Blueberry muffin was good too.

Stupid Unilocal erased my previous post because my email wasn’t confirmed. I’m coming back to RE-write this post because I feel this place is grossly misrepresented. BreadfruitTree Café is an absolute gem. Its 150 feet from the subway, they serve healthy traditional Caribbean cuisine, they have vegetarian and vegan options, they have fresh fruit smoothies, their coffee is fresh, tasty, and on-par with the best of the best — offering almond, soy, regular milk AND Coconut-Water, free Wi-Fi… Etc etc. I had a ginger veggie soy chicken wrap with a bit of jerk sauce added and an iced mocha with almond milk. The wrap was light, fresh, well balanced and tasty. The iced mocha was creamy, fresh, and perfectly sweetened as it came. The design of the place is cool to me — open air design, potted plants, and there are 4 tables for 4 and 1 table for 2 and two separate bar sitting areas. For a Brooklyn corner café, that’s impressive. To the guy that said it was tepidly spiced, I don’t think this place is really going for that heavily spiced taste and feel that a Caribbean restaurant would deliver. This place is a café — light, fresh, on the go. It’s not a vacation to the islands, but it is a nod in their direction. My only qualm with this place is the scaffolding outside hiding this place. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Friendly service and good coffee. The neighborhood needs more time but I root for this little shop. They were friendly and full of smiles and very attentive. It is a small shop not much selection in the way of food but the decaf latte was yummy. Not much seating available but I came at an off time so that is good. If your at the subway and need to kill some time I recommend.

$ 18 for a tepidly spiced jerk chicken with rice and peas plus a beef patty. WAY overpriced. It’s not even in the nice part of Park Slope.

Good atmosphere, good music, food looking good! They supposed to have patties, sold-out, breadfruits, sold-out, chicken curry soup, sold-out, come on! I went 2 times, same story…
