BR Specialty Beer Store

Great selection for Bay Ridge, but with Park Slope prices. They definitely do not have Keystone, but a great selection of craft brews and fancy stuff.

from the outside, it’s a normal corner store. on the inside, though, a superb beer selection. six-​packs, cans, bottles, you name it.
my favorite breweries are Flying Dog, Dogfish, and Rogue, and they are all well-​represented here. all kinds of beer here — from organic gluten-​free «beer» to the true good stuff like Arrogant Bastard or Raging B*tch.
prices are what you normally expect to pay for craft/​import brews. standard, not cheap but not outrageous.

I love this place! A convenience store with junk food, basic needs, and of course a HUGE GIGANTO selection of beer. A bit pricey but you know what, I would pay it for two reasons… 1. its around the corner and 2. If I drive out of my way to pick up beer, not only am I wasting time but I am also wasting gas money. Besides, I think its family owned and if I am wrong, it doesn’t matter… why? Well the owners and workers are nice. So whether they are family or not, they make me feel like family! Beer makes everything better! Seriously though, the nicest people ever! They give freebies sometimes… like glasses or can openers. Pretty nifty. They even have jewbelation beer! Whatever flavor you want and whatever company… its all here. The other plus side is that the people who work their, know their beers and will be helpful by giving good choices and even explaining some beers to you.
Bottom line, its worth every penny.

Nice selection of fancy beers but nothing has a price on it. This is probably because everything is massively over priced. I didn’t know until they bagged my six pack of yuengling that it cost $ 11. Not going back again. I’ll find my normal and fancier beer elsewhere.

Surprised no one has reviewed BR yet. This is a little convenience store which came on the scene a few years ago but it what makes it special – even, audacious – is that it offers fridge after fridge of imported beers for the neighborhood’s beer aficionados. Its really great! I’m sure BR supports the bars around here as well and allows them to offer their patrons cool, diverse choices. Definitely a place much-​valued in the short time its been here; glad to see it surviving and hanging on.
