HUGE Disapointment !!! Ok so I truly loved this place and haven’t ordered in a few months. Something has changed because the hamburgers used to be absolutely amazing so were there french fries and the one of a kind ketchup . Tonight I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger then you can let go of the and fries. The fries where undercooked. the burger was beyond well done and the size the burger was half of what it used to be. I mean just a bit bigger than a slider. The was not freshly cooked and the cheese was not even melted. Still hard. Too top it off The pickle was by far disgusting and made me vomit. The ketchup was just ordenary. Listen I hate to complain but when I’m paying 25 $ for such a simple order I expect quality . Note, the lady answering the phone was great and super helpful. Lol even recommended my Burger medium rare to rare. Thanks order #6926 About to give them another try, the lady who worked there and promised me a comped mean is no longer there. Kinda felt foolish. Talking to the owner /chef about about my last order. I hope the food comes out great like is used to be. I’d love to give this a 5 star again.

the location is small, when they say«Petit» they really mean it. but hey great things come in small packages right? ABOSLUTELY. Bistro Petit is so good that you will be back for more and more and more. the food the service, the warmth of the staff really makes this place shine. Prices can’t be beat and you really leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face. be sure to ask for the daily specials and try something new. If you’re in the mood for some good french food then this is the place to be.

Food was good, but not mind blowing. It was a cute date place. The major selling point is the BYOB, but there was a corkage fee. It’s a small place so not great for groups. Would go back to try some of the other food items on the menu though

A gem of a place. One of my favorite spots in Williamsburg. The Kimchi Bouillabaisse makes ordering any of the other delicious-looking entrees a challenge, but definitely worth sampling from the diverse and exciting menu.

Another«Go to» spot. The seasonal vegetable is always spot on, creative, and delicious. The Kobe burger any way you like it is the best burger on the south side. Have never eaten there, always to go. If you eat there its BYOB and only has about ten seats.

My friends and I came in late night for a few bites and were not disappointed. We got the pomme frites and grilled artichokes and both were delicious, and served with great service. Would definitely come back!

Amazing, they havr deserved the prime spot on my favorite restaurants in NY list, I have no words to describe why! I can only say that I usually eat fast… I was the last one to finish this time, I never wanted that feeling to end :) Wild mushrooms truffle risotto is something worth paying a visit. I think I might move closer to them, or get a job as a dishwasher for free food :)

I was a bottomless pit the weekend that I stopped by Bistro Petit for my 12th lunch. I wasn’t so hungry that I would eat an entrée, but did order their fries because I had a ketchup craving to satisfy and also decided to try their truffle mac and cheese. Cute little bistro, with one small table outside and two inside. Not to mention, a few stools near the window. I love the open kitchen here and didn’t interact very much with the staff, but they seemed nice enough. 1. Truffle mac and cheese – it was really truffle penne, but we won’t split hairs. It was decent, and I appreciate that there was a decent amount of truffle oil involved, as I hate to be robbed of that once it’s promised to me in the title. I wasn’t impressed by these arbitrary panko breadcrumbs on top which did contributed very little to the dish overall. Quite frankly, could’ve done without them, but the pasta was pretty tasty. I don’t know that I would order it again, but am hoping to give other things on the menu a try sometime to see if we can make this 3 a 4. 2. French fries with their house smoked ketchup – these little potatoes are seasoned very generously, and well, I might add. However, they weren’t cooked to perfection and while I enjoyed the taste, I wasn’t feeling their texture so much. They should have been crisp and they were a slightly soggy, instead. I hate that in a French fry… poor guy(yeah, I’m talking about the spud). I will say that the seasoning saved them, but I wasn’t a huge fan of this smoked ketchup they had going on. Maybe it’s just me or maybe I should have ordered differently. At least they weren’t greasy! This was a decent experience for the most part and I wouldn’t shun this place because it seems the vast majority of people enjoy their meals here, but I’m hoping this was a lazy Sunday and happy there had been 11 lunches before this, because I wasn’t thrilled. Maybe next time?

I love interesting fusion restaurants and this did not disappoint. Ordered the Korean beef bourguignon, truffle Mac ‘n cheese and mushroom appetizer. Everything was great and was filling for two people. Also, it’s BYOB which is always nice. My one complaint is that the place is very small with presumably no AC, so sitting inside on a hot summer night wasn’t very comfortable(I swear, I don’t know how cooks do it). Also their credit card machine didn’t work which we didn’t learn until we got the check.

I was entertaining 3 guests and ordered $ 110 worth of food from Bistro Petit, 3 apps and 2 entrees via Seamless. Apps were unbelievably small in quantity and I was embarrassed when I transferred them onto plates because they looked like half-eaten appetizers. Considering these were $ 11-$ 13 each, I could not believe my eyes so I called them immediately, took pictures and emailed to them. I was quickly passed to their CHEF who started to respond with«let me tell you how food industry works…» Not only I was horrified at his attitude but also I had guests waiting, I hung up and emailed my disbelief. Then I got a response back quickly explaining how portions of starters are not meant to be filling or shared to leave room for main course. As a long time vendor to WholeFoodsMarket(I am familiar with food industry) and a small business owner, I want to give one single advice to this place. STOPSELLINGYOURFOODTODELIVERYMARKET. You cannot control who is going to order what on Seamless. Meaning, I am at my liberty to order a bunch of starters because they sound delicious and share with girlfriends which I often do in delivery/restaurants. If your food is meant to be consumed in certain order/manner, make sure you control the process by offering the entire experience like in high end restaurants with large size plates and proper rituals for one’s dining experience. If you’re unable to control via seamless, I suggest you only take phone orders where you can speak with customers and get off online ordering business all together. Also check to see if you have any RETURN customers via seamless or online delivery. Study your position in terms of market competition and avoid being in no man’s land where you’re stuck between high end experience and comfort at your own home/whatever and however you want delivery format. Lastly, when talking to a dissatisfied customer, skip the lecture«let me tell you about food industry», because it only made me want to tell YOU all about service industry where customer is ALWAYS right. Yes, even when they’re wrong, they always have a point and i suggest you simply acknowledge with«i see why you felt that way. i understand you were disappointed» — simple intro like this can ease the situation and let the caller open to what you have to say afterwards. To be fair, food tasted good. Too bad I or the guests from the neighborhood will not be ordering/eating from here again.

The most amazing hidden gem ever!!! In the middle of Wilhelmsburg there is a tiny byob restaurant and we found it by chance looking for food at 11pm at night. the chef was so nice that he offered to fully serve us, offered a seat outside on a warm may night… starting with grilled artichokes and saffron aioli — wow! For main we had the Kobe burger — so juicy, meat done medium and all of it served with home cut fries. The fries tasted oven roasted, they were not at all greasy, really delicious flavours. The sole was the second main — that dish melted in my mouth, it’s probably the best thing I ate during the week in NewYork and I had a lot of really good food! It was done with a crabmeat crust and loads of lemon juice, there was also spinach served with the sole.

This bistro is indeed very, very petite: one table, a handful of counter seats that together accommodate no more than 12 in-house patrons. First, you need to know about the beverage Situation. They don’t serve tap water; you can purchase a $ 6 Volvic from the restaurant, or BYO. There’s a $ 10 corkage fee for wine, and the local shops deliver. I’ll admit that this irked me, because this is still Brooklyn-as-in-Brooklyn-tap-water, and the decision not to provide it struck me as pretentious at best, and extortionary at worst. Second, they now accept credit cards, which is a notable upgrade in amenities from previous reviews. The menu is Korean-imagined bistro food, and it definitely delivers. The starters(we opted for the truffle mushrooms and brussel sprouts) arrived delicious and darling in red ramekins. We split a beef bourguignon that had cheese and apples and anis and all sorts of other yummy additives simmering together in another. The portions are polite, and entrée prices run in the mid-$ 20s. While the food was undeniably nice, I’d probably opt for take-out next time, on account of the(inexplicable) imposed drought over there.

Délicieux! Seating for no more than 12 guests. Two areas for ~4 each; chance of communal seating if it’s date night. Complete view of the kitchen. BYOB, $ 10 corkage fee per bottle. To start, went with sever recommendation: Oyster Pancake with scallion, kimchi, side of Sherry vinegar. Appreciated the Korean flair and plating, but wouldn’t order again. Didn’t quite rock our socks. Next up, entrees. Kimchi Bouillabaisse & Korean Beef Bourguignon. Just do it. And share. But if I had to choose one, go with the Beef Bourguignon hands down. I’d be more than happy to dine here again. And everything was reasonably priced.

Met up with friends for brunch at Bistro Petit one Sunday afternoon. It’s a tiny ol’ thing with a handful of metal seats lined along the large, bright windows and another few facing the small bustling kitchen. Diana and I shared the truffle mac and cheese which was light, creamy and perfumed with truffle oil. I wonder if I could wear truffle oil as a perfume. I wonder the kinds of boys I would get… probably the ones with great taste! Our main dish was the kimchi bouillabaisse, a seafood stew served in an adorable black pot filled to the brim with shrimp, scallops, pollack fish and mussels. Everything was delicious. The seafood was cooked perfectly, and the mussels were fantastically fresh. The broth was so deeply flavorful. Everyone’s favorite part of the stew, however, was the rice gnocchi which we made sure we ate every last bit of. «Like soup tapioca!» Diana proclaimed — which only a bubble tea fiend like ourselves would appreciate. So chewy and delightful to eat. And of course, it is only fitting to cap off such a lovely, charming meal with French doughnuts, freshly made to order. They arrived piping hot in a cute little fry pan which kept these five beautiful, powder-sugar-dusted gems nice and warm until we were ready to eat them.(Which was immediately.) And oh! Such bright, sparkly joy! These airy, eggy doughnuts were so soft, tender and light — absolute heaven. I am a new fan of Bistro Petit, and I can’t wait to try more menu items soon(though the bouillabaisse and doughnuts are must-orders for anyone!). A couple of things to note though: 1. Cash only. 2. No reservations. 3. Gets pretty sweaty in warmer weather. 4. Bring your own water(they do not serve tap water), but they do sell bottled water and other drinks. 5. The place is self-serve(place orders at the register). Now I just have to think what flavor doughnuts I want to try next. Can you tell I have a one track mind? And that track is doughnuts.

Bummed to say that I wasn’t so impressed with this place and I have been wanting to try it for a long time. Could be my bad, because there are certain tastes i’m not into or it could’ve been the time of day, as it was empty during lunch time. The place IS as small as everyone says with counter tops that have 4 – 5 stools and we sat at a small 2 person table. The bathroom is actually through the kitchen doors and from the counter tops you can watch the chefs make your food. I ordered the beef bourguignon and the bf ordered the truffle mac and cheese. I don’t particularly like kimchi, but figured i’d try the sandwich the way it was supposed to be rather than take it out… I ate the whole thing, which was pretty petit, and it’s not something I would get again with the slaw. The bf, on the other hand, loved his truffle mac and cheese and I thought it was pretty good as well. The lunch/brunch menu is a little small so we didn’t really try anything else. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try the dinner which sounds great, but i’m not so much a fan of the lunch. Glad I tried it though!

A very small place but the food is oh so good! They even have small hooks to hang your jacket at the entrance. At the counter, there are small hooks where you can hang your bags underneath. It is tres convenient especially when space is very limited here. PROS: — TRUFFLEMACANDCHEESE: heavenly goodness. you have got to get this — FARROMUSHROOMRISOTTO: another tasty cheesy dish but this was a little too SALTY — OYSTERPANCAKE — it small for its size compared to the Korean and Chinese pancakes you find but it tastes very good. It contains kimchi and oysters. Another difference is that the oyster pancake is sort of mushy while the Chinese scallion pancakes are very crunchy. — KOREANBEEFBOURGUIGNON — the braised beef was very soft and moist. Delicious. It went well with the potatoes and carrots. The dish had a nice touch of finely thin apple slices. OKAY: — WATERMELONSALAD — tangy sour taste spin on the watermelon. it’s good but I didn’t like the cheese pieces with the watermelon that much. — KIMCHIBOUILLABAISSE(fisherman stew): contains mussel, shrimp, fried tofu, kimchi. This was okay for me. The seafood was fresh and it’s just a tad bit spicy but nothing overwhelming but taste wise it didn’t really jump out at me. It’s unique and I like the chef’s spin on it by adding in gnocchi in it however I had better seafood Korean stew at BCD Tofu house on 34th street. CON: — FRENCHFRIES — the fries were kind of on the burnt side and the smoky sauce was OK. You can definitely skip on the fries. This did not wow me at all. — Kind of PRICEY for small dishes but I am glad the dishes weren’t that big at the same time because I was able to try more without stuffing myself. Note: They ACCEPTCREDITCARDS now and they are BYOB. They do not serve tap water so bring your own water unless you want to pay $ 3 for bottled water.

The price point seems high for the space, but the flavors are interesting. The chef is definitely not subtle with pairing different salty, sweet, sour elements etc. The technique is consistent and I haven’t had a bad meal there yet. Recommend, albeit slightly pricey.

Bistro Petit is a tiny, charming, and unassuming restaurant in South Williamsburg. Only 12 stools, some peering into the kitchen, and a few tables. It’s an unexpected(and delightful) marriage of Korean and French cuisine. Things to know: — Try to make reservations since it’s so small and fills up quickly. — They don’t serve tap water, but you can buy bottled water or bring your own. — It’s BYOB. $ 10 corkage fee except on Wednesdays(free!) — It’s cash only. — Don’t come if you’re in a hurry. Dishes take a while to come out, but it’s worth the wait! Now that you’re all set, get ready to taste some amazing things. Chef Park mentioned that the truffled mac & cheese($ 13) has been the most popular item on the menu, and I can see why. For an appetizer, it’s heavy and rich and filling(a.k.a. good for sharing). A good choice for hungry diners, but it might fill you up too much. I’ve had the watermelon salad($ 12) before and that was delicious and refreshing. A combination of watermelon rind, mint, and grilled haloumi cheese. I LOVED the farro mushroom risotto($ 18). White truffle oil shines in this dish as well but the risotto is creamy, thick and complemented by wild mushrooms. If it’s your first time, you’ll probably want to try the kimchi bouillabaisse($ 19), a variation of Korean fishermen stew. It’s a signature dish featuring kimchi, seafood, gnocchi, and white wine. Lip-smacking good.
