BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! That’s what they got here. Tons of awesome beers at all price points(though it skews on the more expensive side). Cool bartender who overheard it was my birthday and gave me a free beer. He was also awesome to talk to about beers.

Great bar with a wonderful collection of beers and the bartender(didn’t catch his name on Saturday night) was really knowledgable and fun to talk to. A no bull-shit kind of a dude, which our crowd loved. I thought the prices were just right, the exterior was unpretentious and almost hidden but when you walk in the atmosphere is delightful and cozy. I can’t wait to take visitors and friends here and impress them with my Williamsburg beer knowledge. Huzzah.

My brother and I were in one of our epic Saturday afternoon excursions last Saturday in east Williamsburg. After a feast at Masha and the Bear and treats at Blue Stove it was time for libations.(I know, we live life to the fullest) Oh hello there stranger?! Welcome to Beer Street! This is my kinda street! With rivers of delicious, variety of beers! The place is painted white, it is long and the seating is very smart is utilizing the unique space. There’s cool old vintage beer memorabilia on the walls. The beer dispenser looks like an old school church organ. The bartender informed us that it’s used for filing growlers. Rawr! Here’s a growl in thirst. My brother is cider only. And he was happy to be informed of the 5 options. I on the other hand love me some IPA’s. Though this is the kind of place to venture to different styles from sours to smoky and the place to be introduced to different local breweries. I think I may have spotted some sort of donut stout. Interesting. Beer for breakfast? I’m not opposed to it. When we made our selections the bartender did a water rinse in the glass and did a strong shake to remove excess water. And our beers were served in funny wine glasses. The wine glasses protect the beer from warming up with our body heat and surprisingly brought out the aromas of the beer whenever you took a sip. How interesting. The beers here are pricey and they do have different sizes. In some ways I don’t mind paying a little more and supporting local businesses and the flavors are becoming so developed that beers are being treated more like wines these days. And rightfully so, the complexities of beer have been underestimated long enough. Let’s here it for beer! Hip hip hooray! Prost!

I LOVE Beer Street. I go up there every Sunday to hang with my man Chris Cuzme(bartender, NYC homebrewing god). He is awesome. If you feel intimidated by all the silly jargon that can surround beer sometimes, go see Chris. He’s super-friendly and super-accessible and down to earth. Bonus, he often plays and hums and dances along to funky music. The taps are constantly rotating so I can taste something different just about every week. Lots of local stuff. You can order a taste(4oz) for like 3 or 4 dollars, so you can really get around to tasting a lot of different beers without getting(too) shit-faced. Pay no attention to those who say this place is «the epitome of the gentrification of Brooklyn.» Anything that’s got more flavor than a Rolling Rock will be off-putting to that crowd(FWIW I do love some Rolling Rock on hot summer day). Mom and Pop may be locals themselves but the beer their slinging may be from St. Louis or Colorado. Much of Beer Street’s stuff is from local breweries brewing with local hops and grain. Wether you’re a hard core beer fan or have a passing interest in moving to flavors beyond what Coor Light has to offer, visit Beer Street. Come by btw like 5pm and 9pm on any Sunday evening and you’ll probably find me there.

A little off the beaten path, Beer Street is an excellent neighborhood bar with awesome bartenders, excellent beers and a cool intimate vibe. Highly recommend.

This place is an absolute gem. Perfect feel and noise level. It is not too crowded but draws enough people to enjoy being out. They feature a really nice beer selection and a great list of ciders. The service was excellent and the window seats especially comfortable for enjoying a beer and people watching.

If you’re serious about beer this is the place for you. Probably one of the best craft beer bars in the country.

This place is the epitome of the gentrification of Brooklyn — sleeve tattoo, hair bun and all. They have a dozen beers from generic taps, each with a description that rivals the way an overly expensive wine is described. For example: «Fresh brewed coffee at the forefront; notes of dark chocolate, dried berries and sweet citrus, caramel and subtle rye spice complement the roasted coffee qualities, hops and rye accentuate each other for lingering, spicy bitterness.» When the zombie apocalypse comes, these places will be the first to go! The environment is minimalistic and slightly askew(tilted), which makes one think they are intoxicated before even taking the first sip. Save your money and support a mom and pop tavern in Brooklyn, while some still remain…

This is a pretty, cozy place with a nice selection of beers. But I’m sorry, $ 7 for a «small» beer that is actually about a one-inch pour is… no. There are plenty of decent places nearby where you don’t have to get ripped off to enjoy a good beer.

I love beer. I love small independent bars. But this place makes me feel sad inside. I’ve only walked in twice – both times around 7pm on a weekday. Despite being pretty much empty I’m «greeted» with a belated half grunt from behind the bar and left to ponder the jumbled draft beer menu above the bar. I don’t know – maybe I’m just done paying $ 8+ dollars for a «full size» beer, whatever that is. Which is a problem because I live in Brooklyn. Tip: Daddy’s down the block has fine beers for $ 6, no credit card minimum, and solidly fewer pretensions. I feel bad because I imagine I’d like the folks that run this place…

This is the kind of place you don’t need to look at the menu to know you’re going to get an excellent beer. I always go with bartender’s choice, I’m never disappointed. Great dudes. Great Beer.

What is not to like about a place that truly knows about phenomenal beer! If you are looking to get drunk on cheap canned beer, look elsewhere, if you are into real craft beer them this is your place.

Nice local bar with a really good tap selection. Cool rare ciders for the girlfriend too. The bartenders here are friendly and really know their beer, drawing a wonderful culture of craft beer lovers from around the area to come drink here. Always a nice relaxed vibe when I’m there, 5 stars all day.

This place is the ideal neighborhood bar. The staff has been super friendly both times we’ve gone — shoutout to the girl bartender who allowed me to request a song on my birthday. They’re super knowledgeable and are totally okay with testing the beers until you find one that you dig. As noted in other reviews, the prices are worth it. I got the barley wine beer, I believe it was $ 6 with a ~14.5%. Woah.

Beer Street just changed into a beer bar from a beer shop. And it’s glorious. i had butternut squash beer with ginger this week($ 7, but it kicked my ass and was 7.7% alcohol… uhhh)…what? You ask, that exists? Yes. At this little place called Beer Street where beer flows like wine. This is a perfect spot for an intimate date, it’s quiet(minus the Black Sabbath blasting, it seemed to blend in so nicely that the place still gave off a vibe of being quiet), and has a nice simple ambiance. The exposed brick walls are painted white, there’s a small bar, a few tables and then benches surrounding the perimeter for extra seating. It’s also a great alternative from Daddy’s…I live in the neighborhood and sometimes I just really don’t feel like screaming over my friends. I’ll be back, and I might even become a regular. i also want to be a bartender here part-time– hire me? I like beer and talking about it.

One of my go-to’s when I’m in town. I love the brought interior which makes a small space feel large. The draft selection is impressively curated and the staff is very knowledgeable. Be sure to take a look at the bottle a selection if your into rarities.

A decent, albeit small, beer selection. They seem to be reasonably seasonal however so you will be finding new brews on visits. However, they were selling broken up 18 packs of Sierra Nevada for over $ 3 a bottle, quite the cost. For local shops, I go to Brueklen Bier Merchants.
